Quotes

I notice your edit here ↗ mangles the page by changing all the " to Windows-style matched quotes. These are not used on Wikipedia and I have a nasty feeling whatever you are presently using to edit may do this automatically. Please would you look into it? Disambiguation link notification for December 8

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Theotecnus ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ecclesiastical History ↗ ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Theotecnus check to confirm]&nbsp;|&nbsp;[//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Theotecnus?client=notify fix with Dab solver]). Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:14, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Help with editing calendar?

Greetings! Thanks for helping with the Orthodox Calendar articles. I wanted to let you know that I have started to edit all 366 articles again, in order to removed the '''bolding of saints names''' and replace them with this format in italics: {{tag|em}}. The reason is because apparently the use of bolding goes against the style manual -- for example, see all the articles from May 16 ↗ to May 31 ↗ that are tagged for this reason. I have not been editing much lately, but if you happen to edit any articles as you go, perhaps you could help by making this style change for emphasis, from the bold format to the "em" format. Thanks and best, ΙΣΧΣΝΙΚΑ-888 (talk) 19:34, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
: {{ping|ΙΣΧΣΝΙΚΑ-888}} I'll surely do. By the way, you did a very good job maintaining this calendar ;) ―Eduardogobi (talk) 20:20, 7 February 2020 (UTC)

A summary of site policies and guidelines you may find useful

Reformulated:

Also, not a policy or guideline, but something important to understand the above policies and guidelines: Wikipedia operates off of objective ↗ information, which is information that multiple persons can examine and agree upon. It does not include subjective ↗ information, which only an individual can know from an "inner" or personal experience. Most religious beliefs fall under subjective information. Wikipedia may document objective statements about notable subjective claims (i.e. "Christians believe Jesus is divine"), but it does not pretend that subjective statements are objective, and will expose false statements masquerading as subjective beliefs (cf. Indigo children ↗).

You may also want to read User:Ian.thomson/ChristianityAndNPOV. We at Wikipedia are highbrow ↗ (snobby ↗), heavily biased for the academia ↗.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. All we do here is cite ↗, summarize ↗, and paraphrase ↗ professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources ↗, without addition ↗, nor commentary ↗. We're not a directory ↗, nor a forum ↗, nor a place for you to "spread the word" ↗.

If<ref>I'm not saying that you do, but if...</ref> you are here to promote ↗ pseudoscience, extremism, fundamentalism or conspiracy theories, we're not interested in what you have to say.

If you came here to maim, bash and troll: be gone! If you came here to edit constructively and learn to abide by policies and guidelines: you're welcome. Tgeorgescu (talk) 30 December 2020 02:17:40 (UTC)

Met. Joseph page

Hey!

I noticed that you added a section to the page on Met. Joseph about his deposition and defrocking that was then deleted by an anonymous user. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Joseph_Al-Zehlaoui&diff=prev&oldid=1239854704

I added a new section on it before I realized that you had written one previously, and if it's decided that your section covers the situation better than mine, please feel free to revert back to yours--but we also may need to discuss getting this article edit protected.
