Speedy deletion nomination of Pearl (singer)
Hello George13lol2,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pearl (singer) ↗ for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can <span class="plainlinks">'''[//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title={{urlencode:Talk:Pearl (singer)}}&action=edit§ion=new&preload=Template:Hangon_preload&preloadtitle=This+page+should+not+be+speedy+deleted+because...+ contest this deletion]'''</span>, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page ↗ if you have questions. Thanks!

Stage Boom (season 2) ↗ moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Stage Boom (season 2) ↗, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable ↗, independent sources ↗. <small>(? ↗)</small> Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability ↗ is of central importance ↗ on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace ↗ (with a prefix of "<code>Draft:</code>" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline ↗ and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :7+Up ↗. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move ↗", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution ↗. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu ↗ for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove --> '''<span style="color:#f535aa">—</span> <span style="background:#f535aa;color:#fff;padding:2px;border-radius:5px">Paper9oll</span> <span style="color:#f535aa">(🔔 • 📝 ↗)</span>''' 12:42, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Issues you introduced to N.SSign ↗
Hello. There are multiple issues you introduced with your edits to N.SSign ↗ that I'd like to address so you can avoid making the same edits on other articles in future.
- There is ''zero'' need to add columns for charts that an artist ''did not'' chart on. It does not matter if other sections have those same columns—they don't need to be in every section. It doesn't matter if they didn't chart with a single in Korea—Korea does not need to be a column until they have charted with a single there.
- If a chart column has no values except a note, change the column into a column for the chart that the artist ''did'' appear on. There is no imperative to have the column represent the main chart of the country and any exceptions to that be notes if they never appeared on the main chart for entries in that section.
- Do not use small text where the text size is already reduced. By using small text in Template:Hidden ↗ you have made the text size below 85%, which is a violation of MOS:SMALL ↗. (This also means do not use small text in infoboxes and navigational templates.)
- Avoid using colspans in the middle of tables per MOS:COLHEAD ↗. N.SSign do not have that many singles that we even need to separate their Korean or Japanese releases yet anyway.
- Reconsider including full track lists on articles if the EPs/albums do not have articles, especially as using Template:Hidden ↗ runs afoul of MOS:NOHIDE ↗. If the EPs or albums are not significant enough to have their own articles, then we really don't need to include track listings for them anywhere else. Yes, I'm aware plenty of K-pop articles list the track listings for albums that don't have articles, but they don't ''need'' to, and you didn't need to add them here.
- See our guidelines on capitalisation per MOS:CT ↗. We do not capitalise the first letters of prepositions in the middle of titles.
- There is no need to re-format citations other editors have edited to articles you did not create. I don't think you needed to re-format the citations I added to that article before you edited it yesterday. Please reconsider whether you really need to be doing this going forward.
:I was in the middle of editing the page when you submitted your edit, and I wasn't notified of any edit conflict so any changes you made were essentially replaced by mine. As for your other points I'll keep note of them. George13lol2 (talk) 08:48, 7 December 2023 (UTC)

Japanese "single album"
Hey, I know the concept of a single album ↗ is exclusively South Korean, but how would you categorize something like Tomorrow X Together ↗'s ''Chikai''? Seems widely reported to be a single album, and has three tracks, none of which are specifically named just "Chikai" (誓い). But, it charted in Japan on the singles chart, not the album chart.
Is it common to have a single be titled differently than any of the songs contained on it? RachelTensions (talk) 23:12, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
:@RachelTensions Yes it is common for a single to be titled differently from its lead track. Other examples include Kep1er's Japanese releases such as "Wing Wing ↗", marketed as "Fly-Up". For these releases we simply refer to them as maxi single ↗s marketed with a different title. George13lol2 (talk) 01:55, 13 November 2024 (UTC)

Sophia Laforteza
Hello! I recently added Draft:Sophia_Laforteza ↗ to the mainspace momentarily, just to receive copyedits and as a litmus test for if it would be accepted (it did not meet notable requirements). I was wondering what are the exact requirements for notability as per WP:BANDMEMBER ↗. I had a minimum of 3 sources that did not have simple passing mentions, but entirely about the subject. Therefore, I just wanted feedback and further calrification on what is <u>exactly needed to meet notability requirements</u>.
Thank you for your edits and help! <span style="background-color: #FF7F50; border-radius: 1em; padding: 3px 3px 3px 3px;">'''<span style="color: GhostWhite">Warmtoned 🕯</span>''' <small>''<span style="color: black">talk!</span>''</small></span> 22:54, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
:@Warmtoned Hello. Typically for a member of a group to be notable enough to qualify for a separate article, he/she will need to have adequate activities outside of said group. Sophia's only activity outside of Katseye/Dream Academy is a single appearance on a game show in 2022, which would definitely not be enough for anyone to get an article.
:I also noticed that you moved the content from the article in the mainspace to draft via cut and paste ↗, which you've done the same moving the draft to mainspace. This is undesirable as it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution ↗. In the future you may request for a page to be moved ↗ back to draft instead. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Le Sserafim - Crazy (Japanese version).jpg
64px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Thank you for uploading ''':File:Le Sserafim - Crazy (Japanese version).jpg ↗'''. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline ↗ is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag ↗; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-disputed fair use rationale-notice --> — Ирука13 ↗ 04:33, 19 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello, George13lol2,
Please be careful when assigning categories to an article. Make sure that the categories are existing categories and that they are spelled appropriately. Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System ↗
Hi George,
Thanks for your edits on the above page. Your edits are obviously made in good faith; thanks for that. To reciprocate that good faith;
Can you help understanding please of your edits in the intro section of the above page? E.g.,
1) My humble understanding is effective writing is based on using short words, short sentences and short paragraphs. For what reason is it beneficial to merge 2 lucid short sentences into 1 long sentence?
2) Why remove the short info that was included listing the keyt strategy change in the history of the project?
Thanks for any help.
: Using several short sentences to describe something is not "effective writing". It becomes repetitive, affects the flow of reading, and sounds awkward when spoken out.
: I'm ok with providing a brief history of the RTS link in the lead section, so long as it's further summarised. I just believed at that time that it wasn't notable enough to be in the lead section. George13lol2 (talk) 13:43, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
:Hi George,
:I hope you are doing OK and thanks for your reply.
:"Using several short sentences to describe something is not "effective writing". It becomes repetitive, affects the flow of reading, and sounds awkward when spoken out."
:You sure about that? There's plenty content out there recommending using short sentences. What flows for the writer doesn't necessarily flow for the reader. Hence the value of using short manageable chunks of info to empower info digestion by the reader.
:As an example, your current wording:
:"The Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link is an upcoming 4 km (2.5 mi) long international twin-track rapid transit system crossing the Strait of Johor. It will link Johor Bahru, Malaysia at Bukit Chagar station with Singapore at Woodlands North station, the latter connecting with the MRT station of the same name. The line is planned to open in December 2026.
:To provide a seamless pre-boarding clearance, both stations on the line will each house customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) facilities for both countries, which will be independent from the existing CIQs at the Sultan Iskandar Building and Woodlands Checkpoint.
:When completed, the RTS Link will replace the existing KTM Intercity Shuttle Tebrau service between JB Sentral and Woodlands Train Checkpoint stations by June 2027."
:Sentence lengths there are:
:Sentence 1 - 28 words
:Sentence 2 - 27 words
:Sentence 3 - 8 words
:Sentence 4 - 39 words
:Sentence 5 - 25 words
:Don't you feel for example that sentences 1, 2 and 5 would be better halved, and that sentence 4 would be better divided into 3?
:Thanks again for any constructive opinion you have. 103.216.223.36 ↗ (talk) 04:44, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
::Hey thanks for the reply. I understand where you're coming from. However, I'm not sure why you think any of those sentence structure will work better.
::The first sentence is only long because the name of the rail line is long, and thus should not be put into consideration when looking at the length of the sentence. If you instead abbreviated it, the previous phrasing would be "The RTS is a 4 km long international twin-track rapid transit system. The RTS crosses the Strait of Johor." That just seems silly.
::For the second sentence, are you suggesting for "the latter connecting with the MRT station of the same name" to be split into a separate sentence? That's fine if this article is on the Woodlands North station, but this article is about the RTS line, so why have a sentence in the lead section solely describing a station on the line.
::For the fourth sentence, I would say that the line "which will be independent from the existing CIQs at the Sultan Iskandar Building and Woodlands Checkpoint" isn't necessary at all and has no reason to be included to begin with since those existing custom facilities aren't even within the same building as the ones for the RTS. "To provide a seamless pre-boarding clearance, both stations on the line will each house CIQ facilities for both countries" - I believe that this is perfectly fine. There's no need for a separate sentence stating the obvious "That co-location is intended to provide seamless pre-boarding clearance."
::Why would the fifth sentence need to be divided.
::"What flows for the writer doesn't necessarily flow for the reader. Hence the value of using short manageable chunks of info to empower info digestion by the reader." That may be true but it's also excessive to break down every single bit of detail into its own sentence. Simple English Wikipedia ↗ exists specifically for something like that. George13lol2 (talk) 09:24, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
:::Hi George,
:::Thanks for your reply. I'm not ignoring you. I need to find sufficient spare time to give your reply the respect it deserves. When I get that time, I'll respond. 103.216.223.37 ↗ (talk) 07:05, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
Hi again George,
1) "I'm not sure why you think any of those sentence structure will work better."
Shorter sentences (and paragraphs), give the reader easier content digestibility (by giving the reader easier to absorb shorter info chunks). I recall at the time I did my Effective Writing training, someone in the class made the point of advocating for long sentences to allow flow. That point was was discredited by the instructor. The instructor instead made the point that what flows for writer, doesn't necessarily flow for the reader. Readers face the challenge of interpreting the writer's output. The ABC of Effective Writing was taught as"
A = Accuracy
B = Brevity
C = Clarity
The 2 keys tools advocated to achieve that were:
a) Target average (note average, not exact), sentence length = 14 words
b) Use active rather than passive phrasing
e.g. Use:
George reset the password
Don't use:
The password was reset by George
2) "The first sentence is only long because the name of the rail line is long, and thus should not be put into consideration when looking at the length of the sentence."
Its still a long sentence.
3) "If you instead abbreviated it, the previous phrasing would be "The RTS is a 4 km long international twin-track rapid transit system. The RTS crosses the Strait of Johor." That just seems silly."
I'd need to look at the history again. I can't though be bothered (for the moment at least), trawling through the article history. I'm quietly confident though more optimal wording could be put together.
4) "For the second sentence, are you suggesting for "the latter connecting with the MRT station of the same name" to be split into a separate sentence? That's fine if this article is on the Woodlands North station, but this article is about the RTS line, so why have a sentence in the lead section solely describing a station on the line."
There'd be more than 1 way to word it. I see though some others have made some tweaks to the article summary. I confess my focus has been moved onto other things currently. Hence please forgive me for not proposing a solution just now.
5) "::For the fourth sentence, I would say that the line "which will be independent from the existing CIQs at the Sultan Iskandar Building and Woodlands Checkpoint" isn't necessary at all and has no reason to be included to begin with since those existing custom facilities aren't even within the same building as the ones for the RTS. "To provide a seamless pre-boarding clearance, both stations on the line will each house CIQ facilities for both countries" - I believe that this is perfectly fine. There's no need for a separate sentence stating the obvious "That co-location is intended to provide seamless pre-boarding clearance.""
Then remove the superfluous text if it hasn't been removed already?
6) "Why would the fifth sentence need to be divided."
Because the sentence is unnecessarily long.
7) "That may be true but it's also excessive to break down every single bit of detail into its own sentence."
Fair comment. Hence the point above re average sentence length.
I hope this message reciprocates the same polite and respectful tone you have exhibited. Very best wishes to you. <!-- Template:Unsigned IP --><small class="autosigned">— Preceding unsigned ↗ comment added by 49.245.113.228 ↗ (talk) 03:54, 21 August 2025 (UTC)</small> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->
List of Singapore MRT stations
Hello,
First of all, I'd like to thank you for editing in good faith, especially for List of Singapore MRT stations ↗. I've noticed that you have reverted one of my edits, which concerns with the history of the MRT. I don't exactly know what's the problem with it, is it the inclusion of the history of the MRT or is it that such content should not warrant its own section? If it's the former, other rail FLs include an overview of their history, such as List of Vancouver SkyTrain stations ↗ and List of SacRT light rail stations ↗. If the issue concerns with the latter, I did that since I believe the history of the MRT is big enough to warrant its own section, though am willing to move to the lead if it can be reasonably summarised. Icepinner 09:09, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
:Hi Ice,
:I believe that a section on its history is unnecessary as List of Singapore MRT stations ↗ is already a pretty large article on its own. Other lists articles on rail stations benefit from having a history section as the lists themselves are significantly smaller in comparison. I am fine with having a brief summary of the history in the lead section though. George13lol2 (talk) 09:41, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
::Great, thanks for clarifying! I shall act accordingly. Icepinner 10:41, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

"Standardise"
Writing "standardise" ↗ as an edit summary implies what you've done—write "includes x and x" in the visible text—is a "standard". There is no "standard" for how to represent combined sales and what elements go into them across all K-pop articles. There is certainly no consistency that I've seen considering I add them ''every week'', so your claim of "standardis[ing]" anything is incorrect. If it's your personal preference or you're making it ''consistent'' on the ''page'', then you should probably say "consistency" instead. Skyversay (talk) 03:18, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
:I can write "consistent with other related articles" by your definition of "standardise". I can also write "standardise within page" per your definition of "consistency", which is very clearly what I was refering to. They're synonymous with each other. Per Cambridge's definition, a standard can either be "an official rule", or "usual rather than special", meaning the word "standard" can mean either an officially set protocol, or simply following the norm. If there is indeed an official standard that applys to all K-pop related articles, I would link the discussion/information page in my edit summary. I've also been updating charts and sales references every week so idk why you think you know more than I do. George13lol2 (talk) 03:56, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
::You just quoted me the dictionary definition of "standardise" then you tell me you think ''I'm'' the one acting like I know more than the other. Please have some self-awareness with how hypocritical that is. I don't "think" I know more than you do, I was relating an anecdote about not encountering any consistency in this matter contrary to you claiming you're "standardising" something on one page. There is no ''standard with related articles'' is my point, which you seem to have missed. Skyversay (talk) 04:36, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
:::I mentioned that I'm aware there is no standard for all K-pop related articles, which YOU seem to have missed. I've been regularly updating chart/sales references on multiple articles and have never even seen any other article that formats the chart citation like how it's done in Babymonster ↗. I also mentioned that me writing "standardise" in my edit summary very clearly meant standardising within the page for consistency. Do I need to repeat myself again on the definition of the word? This is simply a matter of you misunderstanding the word, and I gave you an official definition to show that "standardise" is not an incorrect term. George13lol2 (talk) 13:57, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to change the title of a page by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :Draft:JS2A MRT station ↗.
