Lola young - this wasn't meant for you anyway

Hello - you have left a note on my talk page stating that genres need to be sourced for all the Eurovision 2025 songs - I'm curious where I would source it (eurovision.tv? The broadcaster if they mention it?) from.

BBC
Hello mate, I see you have reverted one of my edits on "Nokia" by Drake with an edit summary that reads "Is there not consensus on Wikipedia that being added to a BBC playlist is not necessarily evidence of a single release or official radio impact date?" could you please point me in that discussion's direction? '''<span style="color:Purple">dxneo</span>''' (talk) 22:50, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
:@Dxneo Sorry, but I don't know where it took place. However, I have seen User:Lil-unique1 refer to BBC playlisting not necessarily being evidence of a single release, so they might know. As for "Nokia", though, I think at this point it must have been serviced to US rhythmic and pop radio at some point as it's charting on both charts. If a radio add date could be found for the US, I would have no issue with that. For the record, I didn't know who added the BBC date to the "Nokia" article. Skyversay (talk) 04:54, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
::Well, it looks like a radio date since they also announce new adds, but I do not think it's reliable since there was a time when they just said "tacks from ''GNX''". I managed to find a radio date for "Nokia" on ''HitsDD ↗'', but only for the pop 40 (contemporary hit radio ↗). I was wondering if you know how nagivate {{URL|allaccess.com}}, because I can't find any rhythmic crossover ↗ date anywhere, but the song charted on the rhythmic chart ↗. '''<span style="color:Purple">dxneo</span>''' (talk) 17:18, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
:::In the UK, radio doesn't work like the US. It doesn't count towards charting, we don't have an official airplay chart. BBC radio is a public sector broadcaster. Being added to their playlist is a commercial decision they make from their editors, it's not a radio add date. That's why in anyone one release week, not all songs will be added to BBC radio. For example, Radio 1's target audience is ages 13-22, so that's why almost all of Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez and Madonna's last releases over the past few years were not playlisted. The playlist effectively determines how many times you're likely to hear the song on the BBC, if editors add it on, it's played more often. But it's not like the US - as there's no official airplay chat, labels don't service songs. In the US, labels specifically send the song to radio, and there's platforms /radio panels that do this. In the UK, it's literally made available via a database and it's upto radios if you play it. All of this was previously discussed and agreed previous here ↗ <span style="color:#01260d">>></span> <span style="color:#01260d">'''Lil-unique1'''</span> <span style="color:#01260d">'''('''</span><span style="color:#08752d">'''talk'''</span><span style="color:#01260d">''')'''</span> — 22:16, 23 March 2025 (UTC)

Charts and dates
Hello mate, thank you so much for working on the charts. It really isn't an easy task. On your recent edit on "Show Me Love ↗", you removed the {<nowiki/>{single chart}} and replaced it with a URL rather than changing the week and position, why?
<br/>
And you also changed some of the dates to mdy, when the pages set to automatically convert dates to dmy since Wiz is South African, why did you change the format? '''<span style="color:Purple">dxneo</span>''' (talk) 16:26, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
:{{re|Dxneo}} The Danish chart has updated on hitlisten.nu; it has not updated at danishcharts.dk, which the single chart template link points to. I changed the date format in the ''title'' parameter only, because ''Billboard''{{'}}s website uses mdy at the top of the chart page—"Week of May 10, 2025". It does not use dmy there. Dmy date format consistency only applies to date= parameters and prose. Skyversay (talk) 16:52, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

Good Charlotte questions
Hi
I am the one that added the album sales for the album. If you look on History in discography you see it on july 27th only I was not logged in. I dont know how to add sources and thought someone would see it or get notified (I did not know if anyone "controlled" pages etc. For example GC's mainpage is locked for editing so I thought maybe the person in charge of that did.
Anyway, the source was Hits Daily Double as you can see in my text.
Do you know how to get archived pages on the internet? Since that link cant be used since it goes away when the new album gets released. Then it could be added. Madsgismerica (talk) 14:55, 17 August 2025 (UTC)
:{{re|Madsgismerica}} ''Hits Daily Double'' does not have access to actual album sales. It only estimates, so therefore we should not use it. Only ''Billboard'' provides the official final album sales from Luminate ↗. Skyversay (talk) 15:02, 17 August 2025 (UTC)
::Ok I just saw it had been used on another bands page, but that's fine.
::I see there have been an update on Rejects charting in Australia.
::The same goes for USA. It peaked so far with the latest Billboard update on #18 on "Billboard Alternativ Airplay". That is a chart that's being used on many artists that if it does not chart on the list on the page. Madsgismerica (talk) 15:11, 17 August 2025 (UTC)

The Nation Blue
Hey, Love your work - as always.
just wondering if The Nation Blue ''Damnation'' album charted on the ARIA top 100 this week? It was higher than Bumpy's ''Kanana'' which peaked at 98. If so, would you be able to replaced Australian Artist chart with overall Australian albums chart for them too please? Thank you Tobyjamesaus (talk) 05:43, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
:{{re|Tobyjamesaus}} Looks like it hasn't been allowed to chart on the main chart as ARIA has categorised it as older than two years, as its presence at number 5 on the Australian Artist ''On Replay'' Albums Chart indicates. The only other peak I see is number 18 on the Physical Albums Chart, which doesn't seem to have the same "two years or older go on the On Replay charts" rule. My guess is it fell below number 50 on the overall On Replay Albums Chart. Skyversay (talk) 09:09, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

Quaristice charts
Hi there! Hope you're well. Firstly, thank you for all the work you do in regards to charts on Wikipedia; I see you often in my watchlist for various album articles and your work does not go unnoticed by me. I wanted to ask if you'd be able to help out with the charts for ''Quaristice ↗''. I've been improving this article over the past day or two and while I managed to find a couple charts myself, I still think there's a possibility more could be added or that the positions might be wrong. Austrian charts
Hello there! Thanks again for your commitment to keeping the chart updated every week. I apologize if my edit and note caused confusion, that wasn't my intention at all.
As we are all editors working on the same articles, my only goal was to set up an efficient solution for future editors. I added both the manual link (for immediate, full sourcing) and the template (hidden) to ensure we had complete verifiability right away for the readers of the articles. My note was just to advise the next editor that once the website updated the specific album page, they could delete the temporary manual link and unhide the template.
I have clearly documented my rationale for the edit (see Revision history). However, based on the non-collaborative tone and your stated desire to maintain control over the weekly edits on the Austrian charts by saying ''"I was adding this chart to Wikipedia before you did and I'll still be aiming to do it every week regardless of what you've decided you're going to do"'', I will refrain from making any further edits to this specific country's chart. Best regards. CeolAnGhra (talk) 01:16, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
:{{re|CeolAnGhra}} Apologies for my tone, I was frustrated as I have always felt it's pointless if there are multiple editors striving or attempting to update a chart's data every week. Skyversay (talk) 05:27, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

NF Discography
I saw your comment on NF discography ↗, responding to me moving "Sorry" from the singles section ↗ to the other charted or certified songs section ↗, and moving peaks from "Sorry" and "Who I Was" from the other charted and certified songs section to where they were already listed on the promotional singles section ↗. It seems that you were upset of me for doing this, giving the reasons for "Fear", saying that it "has a music video and will probably be released to airplay expeditiously" and the reasons for "Sorry" and "Who I Was", saying that they have "split hairs between "promo" singles released ahead of the album and the most popular song from the EP."
I thought I might mention that even if "Fear" has a music video, or will "probably" be released to airplay, that is not basis for it to be listed as a single. When I moved "Sorry" and "Who I Was" to the promotional singles section, that was because they were already listed there before you added them to the other charted and certified songs section—the listing that you added was simply a duplicate. —JavaJourney (talk | contribs ↗) 19:28, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
:{{re|Javajourney}} Upset? No, I thought it was silly and my edit summary was clearly sarcasm. My saying that was not an indication that "Fear" should be relisted under singles. I'm saying you're pointlessly policing what's a single and what's not when it'll likely change very soon regardless. The sources you or another editor provided on the ''Fear'' article do not state those two songs are "promo" singles either. They are simply links to their uploads on Tidal. That's more proof they're just simply "singles" rather than "promo" ones. That's what I meant by splitting hairs. I thought that was pretty straightforward. A little help
Hi,
I have noticed today that User:HugoStd300 copied all the content regarding Celine Dion's covers of songs "It's All Coming Back to Me Now ↗" and "The Power of Love (Jennifer Rush song) ↗" and created separate articles, which he called 'Celine Dion recordings'. I have reverted these changes. And now I see that another user User:BrothaTimothy has done the same for various Whitney Houston songs, for example "I'm Every Woman (Whitney Houston recording) ↗". Has something changed at the end of last year in Wiki rules, that now we create separate articles for every cover? Max24 (talk) 18:58, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
:WP:SONGCOVER ↗ now says cover versions can be split to their own articles provided they meet the standard notability criteria and are detailed enough to be split. If the editors who split the content didn't attribute where the text came from, you should point out in an edit summary that the text was copied from another article or even place a template on the talk page (I forget which, but there is a specific template for talk pages that says the text was copied from another article). Also drop a note to the editors to do so themselves in future. Skyversay (talk) 19:06, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

MOS:HEADER
Hi Skyversay! I'm so appreciated that you keep editing and updating music charts on various articles, which is really important to music-related Wikipedia articles. I'm always grateful for that, and I think you deserve it enough. However, I just want to ask you not to add song or album's name when you ''create ↗'' tables in {{math|Charts}} section, per MOS:HEADER ↗. That's all I wanted to tell you; thank you so much for your contribution to Wikipedia! <span style="font-family:'Serif';color:#efdee1;-webkit-text-stroke:0.5px #b23f69;text-shadow:-0.5px 1.5px 1px #2B0033">'''Camilasdandelions'''</span> (✉️) 03:12, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
:{{re|Camilasdandelions}} Thank you for the kind words. As far as I can see, MOS:HEADER ↗ does not say editors ''shouldn't'' add table captions; the current recommendation is that some editors think they are necessary for sight-impaired editors who use screen readers, but that they can (or in some cases where they only duplicate the heading) ''should'' be hidden using Template:Screen reader-only ↗. You are more than welcome to hide it using the aforementioned template where and if it bothers you, but telling editors they should not add table captions at all is not in line with current policy or consensus. You even weighed in at the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Tables ↗ so you know editors are in disagreement about this very issue. Skyversay (talk) 12:33, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
::I think you misunderstood my comment; I didn't say we should not add tablecaptions, but we should not include the subject's name in tablecaptions per MOS:HEADER, as it states: "{{xt|avoid redundantly including the subject's name in a caption or header}}". By the way, we should add proper tablecaptions in tables per MOS:TABLECAPTION ↗, but if its name is same with the section's name, then we should adapt {{tl|sro}} template. :::Yes, I was refactoring my comment when you replied. I misunderstood and thought you had said we should not add table captions at all. I would just like to say that you are more than welcome to alter or hide the captions using the aforementioned sro template where and if they bother you, but in regards to your caption alterations, "list of release history" doesn't really make grammatical sense and "list of chart performance" is not much better. "List of release dates" and "List of chart positions" would be better, or just "Release history" and "Chart performance" respectively, but then we're getting into exact duplication of the heading(s) and they'd be better off hidden entirely using the aforementioned template. Skyversay (talk) 12:50, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
::::As I didn't want to make them "exact duplication of the heading(s)", I have put "List of" phrase to avoid this issue. Was wondering if you'd be able to help me out and add any chart positions for ''Draft 7.30 ↗'' to the article, as I've been working on expanding it the past few days. You did a great job for ''Quaristice'' and I could really use the help. Thanks, and hope you're well. <span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#751f2a">Rambley</span></span>[<i style="color:#751f2a">who?</i>] 14:39, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
SB19 discography ↗
Hi, {{U|Skyversay}}! Thanks for being proactive in ensuring peak chart positions are sourced, like what you did just recently at SB19 discography ↗. I just saw the song's peak chart position another way and assumed the Singles Stats page for SB19 in Aotearoa would be updated automatically. Regards, <span style="background: #252f9c;border-top: 3px solid;border-left: 3px solid;border-bottom: 3px solid;border-right: 1px solid;border-top-left-radius: 6px;border-bottom-left-radius: 6px;border-color: #252f9c;font-family: Times New Roman;font-weight: bold;color: #cfe5ff;letter-spacing: .5px;">Re</span><span style="background: #cfe5ff;border-top: 3px solid;border-left: 1px solid;border-bottom: 3px solid;border-right: 3px solid;border-top-right-radius: 6px;border-bottom-right-radius: 6px;border-color: #cfe5ff;font-family: Times New Roman;font-weight: bold;color: #252f9c;letter-spacing: .5px;">layed</span> <span style="font-family: Times New Roman;letter-spacing: .5px;">(talk{{•}}contribs ↗)</span> 14:35, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
Apologies
In response to this ↗, I do apologise. That was ultimately as a result of an edit conflict that occurred while I was adding in the track listing credits, and chose the option to override (to avoid the potential loss of information I had implemented), which I should have been more cautious of. Was not my intention to edit against other edits that had been done during the interim. Justine Eltakchi
Hey Skyversay, thank you for all the work you do re updating ARIA Charts (especially 51-100).
For the week commencing 4 May what number was Justine Eltakchi's album please? I may create an article of hers and I can use the same reference as Michael Cavanagh (Cavs) ''Sojourn''. :) Thank you in advance, Tobyjamesaus (talk) 08:32, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
:''Big Dream Baby'' debuted at number 59 on the albums chart last week. Skyversay (talk) 09:48, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

Single albums and promotional singles
Hi Skyversay, thank you for all the work you do updating charts! I was wondering if you could help me understand the categorization of Japanese/South Korean releases? Please feel free to ignore/send me elsewhere if you don't feel like answering my questions {{smiley}}
I added &Team ↗'s ''Go in Blind ↗'' to their list of EPs, but I think I might have made an error. It seems to like ''Go in Blind'' was released as a single album <small>(and therefore appeared on single charts, but was not eligible for album charts? or did it just not chart as an album?)</small>. Does that mean ''Go in Blind'' belongs in a separate section?
Also, what is the difference between a single and a promotional single?
Thank you, <span style="font-variant:small-caps;border-radius:9em;background:#E0E8E0; color:#1a4c39; padding:4px;">Wracking</span> talk! 18:14, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
:{{re|Wracking}} It appears for several Japanese artists' discographies, "single album ↗s" are listed in the Singles ↗ section of the article. I believe for &Team, "Samidare" and "Aoarashi" were also technically "single albums" too, so that's what I assume the singles section of that article represents. In Japan, I believe Oricon's chart rules have physical singles appear on the singles chart(s) rather than on album charts, whereas the ''Billboard Japan'' Hot 100 only lists individual tracks rather than listing releases that include more than one track. Each chart publisher really has its own rules. For example, in South Korea, single albums, releases including more than one track, and even physical releases of an individual track all appear on the Circle ↗ albums chart. Individual tracks, as they are all tracked digitally, appear on the singles chart, called the Digital Chart ↗ there.
:As for the difference between a single and a promotional single, WP:SINGLE? ↗ explains this. For several Japanese artists, I've noticed that per what I said above, the physical release may appear in the "Singles" section, but an individual track from it may appear in the "Promotional singles" section. I can't tell you why exactly this is, but I suppose it's to differentiate Oricon/Billboard Japan's chart rules as I explained. Skyversay (talk) 18:29, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you so much! This is super helpful. I'll do a bit more researching to try and sort it out, and I hope it's alright if I come back if I have more questions? Thanks again!! <span style="font-variant:small-caps;border-radius:9em;background:#E0E8E0; color:#1a4c39; padding:4px;">Wracking</span> talk! 02:54, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
Amyl and the Sniffers
Hey there, I thought the Giddy Up/Big Attraction re-release might have read better as double EP over a compilation (as the release is literally both EPs together). All my edits are meant with good intend. I also created articles for both for completion (as well as tidied up/ created their discography page). [although one of the EPs was redirected by another editor anyway]. Upon reflection, I agree that having it listed as a compilation makes more sense. Sorry about that. Thanks for re-adding it. Bitch (album)
Hello, I know you've made some edits on Bitch ↗ - there is a talk page discussion on the article regarding the proper name of the record label in the lead. Can you please leave a comment on the discussion? Pillowdelight (talk) 20:05, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
