left|25px|alt= ↗Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to :Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing ↗. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution ↗, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content ↗. RonBot (talk) 17:10, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Infobox dates

Hi, when updating infobox stats you should update the {{para|club-update}} or {{para|pcupdate}} parameter for club stats, or the {{para|nationalteam-update}} or {{para|ntupdate}} parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (<nowiki>~~~~~</nowiki>), which generates the specific time the update was made. Non-free use of File:Fútbol Picante logo.png

64px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Thank you for uploading ''':File:Fútbol Picante logo.png ↗'''. However, there is a concern that the use of the image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗. Details of this problem, and which specific criteria that the image may not meet, can be obtained by going to the image description page. If you feel that this image does meet those criteria, please place a note on the image description or talk page explaining why. Do not remove the {{tl|di-fails NFCC}} tag itself.

An administrator will review this file within a few days, and having considered the opinions placed on the image page, may delete it in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion ↗ or remove the tag entirely. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-bad fair use-notice --> Jonteemil (talk) 07:54, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :File:Downtown Ontario.jpg ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The file :File:Downtown Ontario.jpg ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>unused, low-res, no obvious use</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the file's talk page ↗.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify -->

25px|alt=Information icon|link= ↗ Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary ↗. Please do your best to '''always fill in the summary field'''. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Dear GoPurpleNGold24,

You're invited to a zoom call, taking place on February 11, with the goal of improving the article on Los Angeles ↗ to Featured article ↗ status! I often find it daunting to approach the Big Subjects on my own—so if you, like me, want a time to sit down with fellow dedicated editors and tackle something important and complex, this is the zoom for you! I, unfortunately, have no way to transmit snacks over zoom; but I trust you to exercise good judgement and discretion in selecting snacks of your own. Hope to see you there—if you're interested, '''add your name here ↗'''!

Capitanes de Ciudad de México ↗ move discussion

"Pumas" v "UNAM" as standalone

Hello, GoPurpleNGold24. You've been very active in Mexican football articles over the years so wanted to reach out about the "Pumas" v "UNAM" (as standalone) in articles, based on a recent change you made in 2026 FIFA World Cup squads ↗.

"'''Pumas'''" should be used over "'''UNAM'''" when referring to the team because we can make a case for WP:COMMONNAME ↗, as most sources refer to the team as "Pumas" instead of as "UNAM" as standalone. UNAM is most commonly used as the university abbreviation too so it's good to make that distinction. I brought this up in WP:FOOTBALL ↗ a few days ago but didn't get many responses. But wanted to share my rationale with you. Here's an example of what' I'm talking about. Check out all the sources that refer to the team as "Pumas" instead:
Fox Deportes ↗
Hardly any sources refer to the team as "UNAM" ''over'' "Pumas" (same thing applies to "Tigres" versus "UANL"). I know we've used "UANL" and "UNAM" over Tigres and Pumas across Mexican football articles for years, but I've been making changes slowly under this rationale given the overwhelming amount of sources for it). Curious if you have a take, I'm very interested to hear your thoughts and answer any questions you may have. Thank you, Morogris<small> (</small><big><span style="color:darkred">'''✉'''</span></big> • <span style="color:darkgreen">'''✎'''</span> ↗<small>)</small> 04:32, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
::Then we should call Guadalajara - Chivas, Toluca - Diablos Rojos, America - Aguilas, Monterrey - Rayados, Tijuana - Xolos, Necaxa - Rayos, Queretaro - Gallos Blancos, Juarez - Bravos. If you insist in adding "Pumas" and "Tigres", then it should at least be called "Pumas UNAM" and "Tigres UANL", that's how they're listed in multiple sites. Especially since "Pumas" and "Tigres" can be used for different reasons, not just sports. <b style="font-family:verdana"><span style="color:purple">GoPurple</span><span style="color:black">'n</span><span style="color:gold">Gold24</span> ↗</b> 05:00, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
:::I don’t think all apply. For Toluca FC, “Toluca” is more commonly used than “Diablos Rojos”, sources check out (happy to produce if needed). Same goes for América, hardly any source calls them Aguilas over America. Again, this is not about pushing nicknames or mascots for all, but some truly do apply, especially Pumas and Tigres when their abbreviations are literally separate institutions too.
:::CD Guadalajara is a tricky one because “Chivas” is more WP:COMMONNAME than “Guadalajara” as standalone. I’ve thought about opening up a discussion to see what people think about renaming CD Guadalajara to “Chivas de Guadalajara”, maybe a fight for another day.
:::Would you be in favor of “Pumas UNAM” (first mention in infobox, lead, and body paragraphs), followed by “Pumas” for all following mentions? Or “Pumas UNAM” for all? I have a slight preference for the first but open to compromising if you think the second is better/more inclusive. I’m very against “UNAM” alone since it’s not supported by the sources. Morogris<small> (</small><big><span style="color:darkred">'''✉'''</span></big> • <span style="color:darkgreen">'''✎'''</span> ↗<small>)</small> 06:01, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
::::It should be Pumas UNAM and Tigres UANL, the UNAM and UANL part are part of their identity and they are also the universities they represent. <b style="font-family:verdana"><span style="color:purple">GoPurple</span><span style="color:black">'n</span><span style="color:gold">Gold24</span> ↗</b> 08:43, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
