Why did you tag this category as a speedy rename? It's empty and it's not even listed at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Speedy#Current requests ↗ so the tag is incorrect. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please do not add original research ↗ or novel syntheses ↗ of published material to articles as you apparently did to :Belgorod ↗. Please cite a reliable source ↗ for all of your contributions. Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-nor2 --> Mellk (talk) 15:13, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
:To elaborate, when you are reverted for adding unsourced information, the logical next step would be to include a reliable source. Wikipedia is not a reliable source so saying that the relevant information is present in another article is not sufficient. The article could be written by anyone, see WP:CITEWIKI ↗. Mellk (talk) 19:16, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
::In this case, the article you are referring to was written by someone who is now indeffed for POV pushing and socking. That article, like the others they wrote which contained misinformation, contains a lot of unsourced claims and original research nor is there anything there that directly supports what you added. Of course adding this three times when this is a core policy is not a good sign. Mellk (talk) 19:17, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
:Also I have seen you add the citation needed tag in the lead of multiple articles for statements that are already sourced in the article body. See MOS:LEADCITE ↗ and avoid doing this in future please. Mellk (talk) 19:19, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

Note
Is there a reason you did not follow the consensus ↗ on the spelling of Kiev/Kyiv in this ↗ edit? Mellk (talk) 11:07, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
:So is the consensus in a nutshell is using Kiev in topics before 1991? MykolaHK (talk) 12:27, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
::* {{tq|From 24 August 1991 (Ukrainian independence), Kyiv is likely to be appropriate}}
::* {{tq|From October 1995 (Resolution of the Ukrainian Commission for Legal Terminology No. 5), Kyiv is presumptively appropriate subject to specifics of the article}}.
::As a result, I would imagine that WW2 would fall under "unambiguously historical". But in future if you are unsure, then it may be best to seek clarification at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Ukrainian places) ↗. Thanks. Mellk (talk) 12:37, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
:::Alright, I'll change the name in the article. MykolaHK (talk) 12:39, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
::::Also, I have seen some edits before where you added the <nowiki>{{citation needed}}</nowiki> template in the lead of the article. The lead does not need citations, so it is not necessary to place such tags in the lead. If the information is not found in the body of the article, then it is fine to remove the text instead. Mellk (talk) 12:44, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
:::::Yes, I'm aware of that. I have already stopped adding that to the lead. MykolaHK (talk) 12:50, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
::::::OK, thanks for confirming. Mellk (talk) 12:51, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
August 2024
You have been blocked a few times for making such edits ↗ and you narrowly escape an indef block, by stating you are not going to come even close. Now you decided to continue. Should we return back to the indef block or community ban proposal? Ymblanter (talk) 12:56, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
:Mate, the names are literally the same. MykolaHK (talk) 15:17, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
::And? Your point being? Why do not you remove the Ukrainian one using the same argument? Ymblanter (talk) 18:04, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
:::Well because that’s a Ukrainian settlement. Do you accept it be done like Chertkovo, Rostov Oblast ↗ but instead putting the Ukrainian label at the front? MykolaHK (talk) 18:14, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
::::Yes, this would be ok with me. Not sure why it is better though. Ymblanter (talk) 20:46, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
:::::Isn’t it somehow pointless to put the same Cyrillic text twice? MykolaHK (talk) 21:08, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
::So what is the logic for this ↗ edit? Mellk (talk) 19:25, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
:::Well according to Blanter, settlements in Ukraine should have been put Russian names if there's history of theirs even though there's no current speakers, I have no comment on that. But I do think the same logic applies here. MykolaHK (talk) 05:28, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
::::Vladivostok was founded after Amur annexation, so there was never any Chinese history to begin with. Mellk (talk) 05:49, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
:::::Well the Qing authorities arrived there first and there's Chinese people since then. MykolaHK (talk) 12:19, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
::::::Similarly, Manchuria was part of the Russian sphere of influence and many White Russians went there following the October Revolution, though I do not see the point in this case. Mellk (talk) 06:59, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
:::::::I mean the Chinese have already been there since the dynasties much earlier than the Russians, I think it's a valid reason. MykolaHK (talk) 07:44, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
::::::::So, the territory previously belong to China and we must include it. Then what about Ukraine? Mellk (talk) 07:48, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
:::::::::So according to Blanter it's about the speakers but not the possession. MykolaHK (talk) 07:51, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
::::::::::I am not sure where you are going with this. Mellk (talk) 07:54, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
:::::::::::So he basically said the native language should be added no matter there are or were users of that language exists or existed there. MykolaHK (talk) 08:26, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Yellow Russia ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Yellow Russia ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Yellow Russia as a concept beyond what Ilya Levitov coined was scantly explored, there is no indication that Russian policymakers ever planned to adopt Levitov's Yellow Russia idea. The notion that it was a thought-out project of the Russian Empire appears stem from a sock-puppet account on the Chinese Wikipedia using questionable sources that may have incorrectly interpreted Levitov's ideas as official policy. In additional to the original article on CNWiki being created by a sock-puppet, the map present on this page was created by another sock-puppet account, further indicating that this page was created to spread misinformation. Given the actual term of Yellow Russia and its relevance ends with Levitov himself, the article ought to be deleted and Yellow Russia be relegated to only being a segment on Levitov's page.'''</blockquote>
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify -->

Help with Ukrainian political parties pages
Hi Mykola, thanks for your work on Ukraine-related pages in zh and en wikipedias. I'm working on political pages in Ukraine right now, including for {{tl|Ukrainian political parties}}, but found some pages missing. Specifically, there are no pages in uk wiki for Volodymyr Buryak's party (active in Zaporizhzhia), nor does it have one for Oleksandr Vilkul ↗'s party (active in Dnipro). I need your help because I don't speak Ukrainian, so I need someone who does to work on these pages. Would you be willing to help with writing? Thanks! TeddyRoosevelt1912 (talk) 04:57, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
:Thanks for notifying, but sadly I think my Ukrainian is not that good enough to write an article’s quality as good enough as the current party articles. I also got an issue on my WiFi and IP which made me unable to edit ENWP that freely. I think it would be much better to let the native users here to do the job. — MykolaHK (talk) 09:54, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
::@MykolaHK: Sorry didn't see this (please @ me if possible), no worries at all! I just thought you would be interested since you tend to know a lot about Ukraine-related topics, and also sorry about the wifi issue, hope it's fixed soon. Well, if there's anything you need help with, always feel free to ask me! Cheers, TeddyRoosevelt1912 (talk) 22:05, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Borys Khersonskyi ↗
48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article ↗.</p><p>You may want to consider using the Article Wizard ↗ to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
A tag has been placed on :Borys Khersonskyi ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement ↗. This page appears to be a direct copy from edurank.org/uni/odessa-national-medical-university. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be blocked from editing ↗'''.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗ for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy ↗ for more details, or ask a question here ↗.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> '''<span style="color:#536895;">Onel</span><span style="color:#ffb300;">5969</span>''' <i style="color:blue">TT me</i> 01:28, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
Proposed deletion ↗ of :Borys Khersonskyi ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Borys Khersonskyi ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> '''<span style="color:#536895;">Onel</span><span style="color:#ffb300;">5969</span>''' <i style="color:blue">TT me</i> 10:27, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

The World Destubathon ↗
Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! ♦ <span style="font-variant:small-caps;color:#aba67e">''Dr. Blofeld''</span> 18:21, 15 June 2025 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Direct Line with Vladimir Putin ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ostankino ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

Taking care
Thank you for your working supporting the Wikipedia project. Please do make sure to write full edit summaries that tell other editors why you have made changes to the articles you have edited. WP:ES ↗. Please do not alter direct quotes. They are precisely and specifically what the person referenced has said. Thank you. <span style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva;">Anna (talk)</span> 21:15, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
:Edit summaries aren’t compulsory though right? MykolaHK ''Sapiens dominabitur astris'' 21:40, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
::Courtsey is compulsory, yes. WP is a fundamentally collaborative project, which means you have to communicate with other editors. That is the point of the project. WP:Etiquette ↗. WP:5P4 ↗. <span style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva;">Anna (talk)</span> 13:52, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Upcoming expiry of your ipblock-exempt right
Hi, this is an automated reminder as part of Global reminder bot ↗ to let you know that your WP:IPBE ↗ right which gave you the ability to bypass IP address blocks will expire on 01:14, 1 March 2026 (UTC). If your IP is still blocked, please renew by following the instructions at the IPBE page; otherwise, you do not need to do anything. <small>{{grey|To opt out of user right expiry notifications, add yourself to m:Global reminder bot/Exclusion ↗.}}</small> Leaderbot (talk) 19:42, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
