Server-side rendered snapshot of this editor's Wikipedia talk page discussions.

Welcome!

Hello, Jg10101, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Laurence Gross ↗, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines ↗, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called '''Your first article ↗'''. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the '''Teahouse ↗''', where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type '''{{tl|help me}}''' on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! Please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions ↗ or ask me on my talk page. <!-- Template:First article --> Again, welcome!&nbsp;<span style="background-color:lightblue">'''''&nbsp;Velella&nbsp;'''''</span><span style="background-color:lightblue">&nbsp;''Velella Talk ''&nbsp;</span> 22:28, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on :Laurence Gross ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable ↗.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello and welcome to Wikipedia ↗. When you add content to talk pages ↗ and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts ↗. There are two ways to do this. Either:
# Add four tilde ↗s ( &#126;&#126;&#126;&#126; ) at the end of your comment; or
# With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (15px|link=Wikipedia:How to sign your posts ↗ or 15px|link=Wikipedia:How to sign your posts ↗) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-tilde --> --SineBot (talk) 23:03, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to :Scott Gold ↗, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. File permission problem with File:Jack O Gross.jpg

64px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':File:Jack O Gross.jpg ↗''', which you've attributed to estate of Jack O. Gross. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to '''permissions-en@wikimedia.org'''.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗, use a tag such as {{tl|non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use ↗, and add a rationale ↗ justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags ↗ for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in [{{fullurl:Special:Log|type=upload&user=Jg10101}} your upload log]. '''Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged''', as described on criteria for speedy deletion ↗. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy ↗. Metro Rapid at Burbank Airport–North station

Are you sure that Metro Rapid 794 serves the Burbank Airport–North station? All of Metro's maps show that the Rapid bus passes by the station, but doesn't stop there. Do you have first hand experience, or better yet, a source showing that Metro Rapid 794 stops at the station? Thank you. --RickyCourtney (talk) 20:40, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

Yes, because the timetables have not been updated yet. I have seen the new signs across from the station on Hollywood Way/San Fernando Rd.

The route is also shown on this recently updated map: http://www.burbankbus.org/maps-schedules/system-map

Stephen P. Teale ↗ moved to draftspace

An article you created, Stephen P. Teale ↗, does not have enough content, sources, and citations as written to remain published. 48px|left|alt=|link= ↗

Hello, Jg10101. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation ↗ submission or Draft ↗ page you started, "Stephen P. Teale ↗".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace ↗, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link ↗. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! <!-- Template:Db-draft-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Lapablo (talk) 20:48, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

McAllen Central Station ↗ moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, McAllen Central Station ↗, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable ↗, independent sources ↗. <small>(? ↗)</small> Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability ↗ is of central importance ↗ on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace ↗ (with a prefix of "<code>Draft:</code>" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline ↗ and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. <span style="color:DarkGray">...</span> <span style="color:DarkOrange">'''disco'''</span><span style="color: #556B2F">'''''spinster'''''</span> '''<span style="color:DarkGray">talk</span>''' 18:31, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

Transit connections

Per policy, Wikipedia is not a travel guide ↗. It is fine to list the routes that directly connect to a specific station, but detailing how to reach other destinations from there is fundamentally not in the scope of Wikipedia. If you want to add travel guide information, please do so at Wikivoyage ↗, where your efforts will be more appreciated. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:58, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

:The airport connections are of direct relevance to passengers at the station, which you would better understand if you were located in the Los Angeles area. How can we include these pursuant to your "policy"? Jg10101 (talk) 19:24, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
::It's not my policy, it's sitewide policy ↗ that all editors are expected to follow. Certain types of useful information, such as recipes and travel directions, are explicitly outside the scope of Wikipedia. That's why are sister projects ↗ where much of that information does properly belong. If you want to discuss the policy with other editors, Wikipedia talk:What Wikipedia is not ↗ is the place to do so. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 20:01, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
:::I dispute your contention that these relevant edits suggest a "travel guide". Several other transit station pages include links to bus, rail, and airport connections. I am personally familiar with this station and believe the edit to be valid and your deletion not warranted by the sitewide policy stated above. Jg10101 (talk) 20:14, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Encino Park and Ride ↗

Hello Jg10101, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Encino Park and Ride ↗, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Encino Park and Ride ↗.

Deletion discussions ↗ usually run for seven days and are ''not'' votes. Our guide ↗ about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability ↗, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with <code><nowiki>{{Re|</nowiki>CurryTime7-24<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code>. And don't forget to sign your reply with <code><nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></code> . Thanks!

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Jg10101! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor&#32;at :Pasadena, California ↗ that may not have been. "Minor edit ↗" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections ↗ or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. Any edit that changes the ''meaning'' of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. ''Specifically this edit ↗. Not a big deal, but please keep in mind.'' <!-- Template:uw-minor --> CurryTime7-24 (talk) 02:22, 29 February 2024 (UTC)

:I do not believe the bus routes that go through Pasadena would be the subject of a dispute? 2603:8001:6A02:6E56:A0A0:F867:A6BD:1C5A ↗ (talk) 02:41, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
