:{{re|DatGuy}}: Hi, my apologies for my edits! I was trying to be helpful, definitely didn't think that what I was doing was vandalism! I was going off of a discussion in the talk page for the Wikipedia article on Suicide, where someone suggested adding these see also tags. I agreed and when no one else wrote anything after that, took that as a sign that it would be okay! I would still argue for the necessity of adding these entries to Wikipedia, but will defer to your judgement. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 06:20, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, Likeanechointheforest. We welcome ↗ your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about ↗ on the page Will Powers (doctor) ↗, you may have a conflict of interest ↗ (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the '''conflict of interest guideline ↗''' and FAQ for organizations ↗ for more information. We ask that you:
- '''avoid editing or creating''' articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- '''propose changes''' on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{tl|request edit}} template);
- '''disclose''' your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI ↗);
- '''avoid linking''' to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam ↗);
- '''do your best''' to comply with Wikipedia's content policies ↗.
In addition, you are '''required''' by the Wikimedia Foundation ↗'s terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure ↗.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Possible areas for editing
Hi Likeanechointheforest,
I just commented on the AFD about the article you created ↗, and I thought I would leave a note here; while I don't believe that the individual that article covers is notable, your stated goals for creating it are commendable. To help you meet them, could I suggest that you take a look at this WikiProject, WP:LGBT ↗? You'll find a community of editors there dedicated to improving the coverage of LGBT topics, as well as hints on where you can contribute edits.
In particular, I would recommend looking at "Editing" tab, and then the start class articles. I can't guarantee that they all meet wikipedia's standards of notability, but they are likely to, and they are all in need of further development.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me!

Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''the Arab–Israeli conflict ↗''', a topic designated as '''contentious ↗'''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully</strong> and <strong>constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
<p>Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days ↗, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.</p><p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics ''procedures'' you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic here ↗. Farmingdale High School ↗
Notability is only of concern when deciding if something warrants an article. An incident does not need to be notable itself to warrant inclusion in an article. A fatal bus crash on a school outing is certainly worth mentioning, Meters (talk) 01:10, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
:I always thought notability meant there had to be both sources for the thing itself and sources that explained why it was important to the article. I also thought that single incidents were typically not notable enough for inclusion on pages. Would you happen to have links to essays/policies on these topics that reflect where I'm wrong? Genuinely, I would appreciate knowing. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 23:05, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
::Read WP:N ↗ ("notability is a test used by editors to decide whether a given topic warrants its own article.") and particularly WP:NNC ↗ {"The notability guideline does not apply to the ''contents'' of articles."). I was hoping you might also be interested in taking a look at this request ↗ to replace the "Background" section with a proper corporate history. I think this would help with the promotionalism issue you mentioned, because it would remove a lot of awards, name-dropping, and stuff like "We have a vision for..." while implementing a proper paragraph-style chronology of historical events. Would appreciate your input if you're willing. Best regards. Matthewjmt (talk) 21:20, 22 January 2025 (UTC)

Interested in ASCAP request?
Hi Likeanechointheforest, I was wondering if you might be interested in taking a look at a request on the ASCAP ↗ Talk page I made given your past help with TJ Ducklo. This request ↗ regards a ringtone lawsuit. The sourcing currently used is primary, and I have suggested updated wording that uses third party sources and eliminates some odd tone issues to make the content more neutral overall. For full transparency, I also reached out to 3family6 about this request. They suggested I ask someone else ↗ as well, which brought me here. Thanks for your consideration. Cheers Stephanie BINK (talk) 21:15, 13 February 2025 (UTC)

Vladislav Doronin
Hi, {{u|Likeanechointheforest}}. We had been in touch on an Edit request I made on Vladislav Doronin's ↗ Talk page. I'd appreciate your reconsideration of the inclusion of this material. Thank you, Astraea2024 (talk) 20:46, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
:{{u|Likeanechointheforest}}, thank you again for your help on Vladislav Doronin ↗'s article a few weeks ago. I'd be grateful if you'd take a look at an earlier edit request, from 2024 ↗ which I believe was prematurely dismissed and closed by other editors. Your recent edits addressed the first bullet, but the extraneous details about other individuals remain in this BLP, and the resolution of the lawsuit is still not included. Grateful for your time and review, Astraea2024 (talk) 16:26, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
::Honestly think this is a pretty inappropriate request. There was a consensus reached and you're asking me to undo it Likeanechointheforest (talk) 17:07, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
:::{{u|Likeanechointheforest}}, I sincerely meant no harm. To my understanding, two editors does not constitute a consensus. The request was made several months ago, and there was hardly a discussion of any kind; two editors dismissed the request without acknowledging the need to remove details that seem to have no place in Doronin's BLP. Again, it was not my intent to upset anyone or break any rules. I have been doing my best to follow protocol. Thank you, Astraea2024 (talk) 09:36, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

::Hello again Likeanechointheforest. Thank you for making the suggested updates. There are a few errors on the page now, though, that I'm hoping you can correct.
::First, there's now a duplicated claim in the Personal life section, as the first sentence ("Tan divorced K. Lisa Yang and married Lya Truong") and the last sentence ("Tan and K. Lisa Yang divorced and Tan is now married to Lya Truong") say the same thing.
::Second, the updated Philanthropy section contains a citation error. I think that's because one of the citations was cut off during the update.

Hi Likeanechointheforest, I just wanted to see if you had any interest in revisiting this request ↗ for the ASCAP article. I think we are largely in agreement about how to move forward with the request and the language there. COI Request for Leena Nair
Hi there Likeanechointheforest!
A little while ago, you kindly made some changes and improvements to the :Leena Nair ↗ article based on my suggestions on the Talk page. However, I’ve noticed that there is still a neutrality dispute banner in place.
As I have a conflict of interest and am not able to remove it myself, I would appreciate your thoughts on whether you feel it would now be appropriate to remove the banner. Thank you very much for considering this, and for your help with the article. Occasionalpedestrian (talk) 13:20, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi Likeanechointheforest, it's nice to meet you. I noticed you recently removed ↗ information from the Point72 Asset Management ↗ article about Point72 Academy. Connected edits
Hi - thanks for helping with the connected edits. There's quite a backlog. I noticed that with this edit ↗, you added information that's not in the source. The source says ''The billionaire founder and CEO of Fanatics, and board member for Rue Gilt Groupe...'', but you added ''which includes RueLaLa.com, Gilt.com, and ShopPremiumOutlets.com'', information not in the source. This source ↗ supports the composition of the group, but the convention is to have the lead summarize the article. There's nothing in the body of the article about him being on the board, and nothing about the groups that make up the holding company. I'd instead put the burden back on the requester, and ask them to first update the request to properly update the body first, and then request that the lead be changed to a summary of the article. Also, since the backlog is so long, please mark the items done so future volunteers don't have to spend time retracing their steps only to see that something was already done (although in this case it helped that I reviewed your edit.) <span style="color: red;">STEM</span><span style="color: green;">info</span> (talk) 01:03, 17 December 2025 (UTC).

Question about Google Searchability
Hi! Just messaging as I haven't received a reply on the talk page of the "Oxford Interfaith Forum" article. For some reason it's still not searchable on Google, do you know how I can fix this?
Also, what specific edits need to be made so that the two banners on top could be removed? Thanks. Biblioteca869 (talk) 15:51, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
:I'm not sure re Google, but as for the tags, you could put things more in a prose format to aid with getting the list one removed, and you could put inline citations in, of reliable sources, for the excessive self-published tag Likeanechointheforest (talk) 16:21, 16 January 2026 (UTC)

Seeking input on an article draft
Hi@Likeanechointheforest, I hope all is well. I was hoping you could provide some feedback on a draft that I recently proposed in AfC. It was rejected, but the reviewing editor did not leave any specifics as to why. I am happy to keep working on it, but I'd hope to determine if there are any general notability issues before I start working on the tone. If you had the time to review and provide some thoughts, it would be a big help.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:AuditBoard
Thank you for your time. SBCornelius (talk) 17:05, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
:Hi, I have a couple ideas. First, the article feels to me like it was written by an LLM, or at least that the writing was assisted by an LLM, which would be against WP policy. Second, it has a largely very promotional tone. Third, the degree of detail with the minimal number of sources raises flags to me too, around notability. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 15:50, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
:@SBCornelius editing for compliance with guidelines, I'm left with maybe something like this:
:''AuditBoard is a U.S.-based technology company that provides audit, risk, and compliance management software. Founded in 2014 by Daniel Kim and Jay Lee, the company is headquartered in Cerritos, California. In 2024, it was acquired by the private equity firm Hg in a deal valued at approximately $3 billion.''
:''In 2024, the company received the Stratus Award for Cloud Computing from the Business Intelligence Group and was named Overall Risk Management Solution of the Year at the 2024 CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards. In 2025, AuditBoard was included in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 for the seventh consecutive year, which recognizes rapidly growing technology companies in North America.''
:--
:This would be a super stubby page, and given the small size of the page, I don't think a recognition section would even be reasonable, personally. Leaving just the first paragraph. My gut feeling here is that this is better served, for now, as a subsection in Hg (equity firm) ↗. Maybe if more coverage comes out regarding AuditBoard, it could then eventually be split into its own page. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 15:55, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
::@Likeanechointheforest, thank you for the feedback. I'll work on it further and see if I can address your call-outs in a meaningful way. Thanks again! SBCornelius (talk) 18:33, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
Rollback
right|130px ↗
Hi Likeanechointheforest. After reviewing your request, I have <span class="plainlinks">enabled ↗</span> '''rollback ↗''' on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
- Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle ↗ or Ultraviolet ↗. It just adds a ''[rollback]'' button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
- Rollback should be used to revert <em>clear and unambiguous cases</em> of vandalism {{emu|only}}. <em>Never</em> use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see {{section link|Wikipedia:Rollback|When to use rollback}}.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war ↗, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
- Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, <strong>''ask!''</strong>

Recent edit on the Jay-Z article
I saw that you deleted the edit on the hotline claim on the Jay-Z ↗ article. I know it's a controversial topic but I think it should be added. The claim itself exists but the stuff in it may not and that should be added. High quality sources have documented this event like Variety (magazine) ↗ https://variety.com/2026/film/news/jay-z-harvey-weinstein-pusha-t-epstein-files-1236647297/ I think by deleting the information it puts a bias on the person. (I also think that if you said the facts in the claim are true is also a bias) Let me know what you think. Thank you - Wobs100 (talk) 16:09, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
:Hey @Wobs100, so something I think is particularly important on BLP pages, and particularly impactful on pages like this one that get so much traffic, is to be conservative ↗ in general, but especially with speculation where sourcing may exist but falls into a recentism bias; WP is not a newspaper. Per BLP standards, "it is not Wikipedia's job to be sensationalist." I think we can keep the encyclopedic quality of the page highest and stick with conservative BLP standards by waiting to see whether other reporting comes out that verifies the claims, which in my opinion would move them from sensationalist to encylopedic. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 17:30, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
::Oh ok, so it is a topic to wait and see still. As it is still controversial and the topic is misleading? I will remove the info I added for the Pusha T ↗ one. Wobs100 (talk) 18:13, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

Description of Stripe, Inc. as "Irish-American"
Greetings, Likeanechointheforest! I work for Stripe, Inc. ↗ and have been watching and requesting updates to the article. I saw a recent edit ↗ where you removed the "Irish-American" description from the introduction. I'm curious if there is specific guidance on how to describe companies. Ideally, I would like to suggest reinstating the "Irish-American" description because Stripe is dual-headquartered (as noted in Silicon Republic ↗) and several independent sources refer to Stripe as "Irish-American", including Financial Times ↗, The Irish Examiner ↗ and Inc. ↗ I've seen similar descriptions used for other dual-headquartered companies. CianStripe (talk) 07:49, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
:Personally, I'd stay away from epithets usually used to describe people when describing companies. Maybe, "Irish and American"? Likeanechointheforest (talk) 13:57, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
::::Irish and American would work for me. Are you able to make that update, or should I create a separate edit request for it? Happy to do whatever works best. CianStripe (talk) 07:30, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to change the title of a page by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :George Kaiser Family Foundation ↗. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move ↗", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution ↗. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu ↗ for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove --> Izno (talk) 17:01, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

Concern over inappropriate edit to BLP article
I've just performed an edit request ↗ on Ben Shapiro ↗, removing an unsourced editorialization on a very sensitive topic. In this edit ↗ you turned "he claimed" into "he falsely claimed" with a "falsely" having a pipelink to the Gaza genocide ↗, without adding a source to it and without the source cited at the end of the paragraph stating that it was a false claim.
While you are correct that his claim is false, I know that you know that being right isn't enough on BLP ↗s, considering your editing experience with them, and this is especially true for something as sensitive as this that sits at the intersection of WP:CT/A-I ↗, WP:CT/AP ↗ and WP:CT/BLP ↗. I would urge you to resist the temptation to make any further edits like that, regardless of how infuriating some BLPs statements may be, or to otherwise refrain from editing in those topic areas so that you don't end up facing sanctions, which I think would be unnecessary and sad to see.
Kind regards. ⹃<span style="color:#711">Maltazarian</span> ᚾ<span style="color:#006">parley</span><math>\lor</math><span style="color:#226">investigate</span> ↗ᛅ 23:48, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
:Hey thanks, I wasn't aware this would be considered any kind of BLP violation, since the Wikipedia page I linked to is fully sourced. What would you suggest? Likeanechointheforest (talk) 09:53, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
::My sincere apologies for incorrectly assuming you were aware. I would try to find some sort of different source for the whole thing (the currently linkee one is sketchy). Usually you would have to have a source specifically calling his opinion false to say that, but it seems like a WP:FRINGE ↗ claim. I'm not wholly sure. I have someone I can ask, I will get back to you and see what ideas I can come up with.

Old edit to Geena Davis Institute
Hi there. You made an edit on 12 October 2024 to article Geena Davis Institute ↗ described as "Implementing talk page edit requested by Special:Contributions/BINK_Robin". This introduced two cite errors in the reference section, caused by invoking two ref names which are never defined. The errors have been highlighted ever since in bright red. Asking about Family care request on the New America Talk page
Hello! This is David from New America. Thanks for working with me on my request to add content about the organization's research and advocacy work to the NA article.
