Lowercase username

You can make your username appear in lowercase in logs, page histories and probably some other places I haven't looked yet, but only to you; it doesn't affect how other users see it.

You just have to copy this:

<pre>a[title="User:Lp0 on fire"] {
text-transform: lowercase;
}</pre>

into your User:lp0 on fire/common.css page. <b style="font-family:Trebuchet MS"><span style="color:#E28C00">enbi</span> &#91;<span style="color:#9C59D1">they</span>/<span style="color:#FFC107">them</span>&#93; • &#91;talk&#93;</b> 22:43, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from A Wondrous Raven (18:23, 8 May 2026)

Hello! What would be the best warn template to use for this revert ↗? It was a promotional (talk page) edit and was clearly LLM-generated, so it is unclear to me which warn template I should use. --A Wondrous Raven (talk) 18:23, 8 May 2026 (UTC)

:Hmm, probably {{t|uw-aitalk3}}, but you could go for {{t|uw-aitalk1}} if you're feeling nice (2 specifies "your comments have been collapsed", and there's no 4im). While the edit ''was'' promotional, it seemed to be promoting Gemini, so it's unlikely to be self-promotion. If it had been self-promotion I'd've gone with {{t|uw-advert4im}}, because advertising is unacceptable, and blatant advertising rarely needs to be tolerated. <span class="nowrap"><span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0 on fire</span> <span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537">()</span></span> 18:31, 8 May 2026 (UTC)

Help needed

I am being harassed by this user here ↗, here ↗, and here ↗. Following this ↗, it seems they are teamed up against me. This is all because I rescued many College and University articles at AfD nominated by them.

Please suggest what should I do? They are treating me as if I am not wanted in Wikipedia by repeatedly questioning my ability of understanding notability guidelines. My understanding of notability rescued many articles ↗ at AfD.

I tried to say all this to HJ Mitchell who has checked my NPR trials and my AfD and made me regular NPP. But I afraid they(HJ_Mitchell) might take it otherway. SatnaamIN (talk) 02:58, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

:For the most part, this seems like a heated inclusionist&ndash;deletionist dispute being handled quite badly.
:{{re|Flyingphoenixchips}} The repeated accusations of sockpuppetry and UPE are definitely aspersions ↗, and you would do well to remember that; I would recommend retracting the accusations and striking them out wherever feasible. If you have credible evidence of paid editing, please send it to {{no spam|paid-en-wp|wikimedia.org}}. Inclusionism is not the same as UPE or sockpuppetry.
:{{re|SaTnamZIN}} I would recommend that you keep your cool and remain civil ↗. This comment ↗ accusing a good-faith deletionist of vandalism is uncivil, as is this edit summary ↗. I understand the stress of the situation, but it's important to try to avoid escalation where possible. If the aspersions continue after warnings, you could see about proposing a WP:IBAN ↗ at WP:ANI ↗, but everyone's goal should be to work together civilly and avoid getting to that point.
:I don't want to get involved in the content dispute, but any kind of mass redirect should probably be proposed at WP:VPM ↗, a well-attended WikiProject, or similar; using AWB for the task without broad and explicit consensus would also be a violation of WP:AWBRULES ↗#3. <span class="nowrap"><span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0 on fire</span> <span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537">()</span></span> 12:34, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
::I will try to be calm and CIVIL. As per your assistance, I have withdrawn the edit ↗. I will be careful from now. SatnaamIN (talk) 05:18, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks for the ping @Lp0 on fire. Just to clarify the talk page discussion was part of a broader pattern-based discussion with diffs attached of different users and, not targeted at this specific user. I was the one who tagged the said user to inform them about Significant Coverage guidelines, as it did not seem they truly understood it by our interactions. You can check the links they attached yourself. Noting a likelihood of paid editing based on a documented pattern of retaining promotional content is an observation grounded in edit history, not an aspersion. Per WP:DUCK ↗, behavioral evidence is a legitimate basis for raising concerns at SPI, and a checkuser only becomes an issue '''if there is something to hide.''' There are increasing concerns with indian pages, of promoting a specific PoV and retaining heavily promotional content, so this is why it was a cause of concern. I have not interacted with this user recently and would not have known about this thread without your ping. Honestly, them reaching out to multiple users to solicit support when the accused parties are not even interacting with them in recent days, does little to build confidence on innocence. I have off-wiki commitments keeping me inactive until mid-August, so I will leave it to community processes and to the user on what they wish to do with it. Thanks Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 23:59, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

'''Backlog update'''

At the time of this message, there are 15,282 articles and 32,951 redirects awaiting review.

After the January–February drive the article backlog was reduced to 15,179 articles and the redirect backlog to 19,053 respectively. Great job! However, both queues are growing rapidly and any additional reviews are highly appreciated.

'''2024 and 2025 NPP Awards'''

74px|left ↗{{no ping|JTtheOG}} was selected as the NPP reviewer of the year for both 2024 and 2025, for reviewing the most articles amongst all reviewers.
{{no ping|Hey man im josh}} and {{no ping|MPGuy2824}} won the Redirect Ninja Master Award for 2024 and 2025 respectively, for reviewing the most redirects.

Overall in 2024, one Platinum, two Gold, eight Silver, 12 Bronze and 45 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 66 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year. In 2025, one Platinum, ten Silver, 13 Bronze and 38 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 38 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year.

{{no ping|BoyTheKingCanDance}}, {{no ping|Rosiestep}}, {{no ping|SunDawn}}, and {{no ping|Vanderwaalforces}} were inducted into the NPP Hall of Fame ↗ for having two separate years of 2,000+ article reviews.

'''January–February backlog drive'''

The experimental two-month long backlog drive concluded with 183 reviewers patrolling over 27,761 articles and 35,309 redirects, earning over 36,836 points. Congratulations to {{no ping|JTtheOG}}, who achieved first place with 6,484.6 points in this drive.

'''May backlog drive'''

An article-only backlog drive is currently underway. We are hoping to make a big dent in the backlog. You can read more about it or join at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/May 2026 ↗.

'''PageTriage'''

An attempt was made to get the New Pages Feed ↗ to sort by date marked as reviewed instead of date created. However we had to revert it due to bugs. We may try again in the future. You can subscribe to the Phabricator ticket ↗ if you're interested in following along.

Question from Kinjalite (22:10, 15 May 2026)

so, i more or less know how to use Wikipedia now. but i just wanna know: what can I and can not link in pages? is using AI for descriptions allowed? (most likely no I’m guessing). how long do pages take to get verified here? I know on Microwiki (since I use that way more) it takes AGES to be verified, but here bc there are more moderators, how long is it? --Kinjalite (talk) 22:10, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

:{{Re|Kinjalite}} Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for volunteering! I'm fairly sure that's three separate questions, so I'll answer them separately.
:Most things can be linked as long as there's an article to link to. External links (links to other websites) shouldn't go in the text of an article. Other than that, the limits are detailed in MOS:LINK ↗: don't link really common words ↗, don't make links go to unexpected places ↗, don't link to draft articles, and don't put multiple links next to each other ↗ (like ↗ this ↗).
:You are correct that using AI for most purposes is prohibited ↗.
:There are several kinds of "page verification" that happen here; if you're referring to Draft:Pierre Elliot Trudeau Elementary School, Vaudreuil-Dorion ↗, you need to press the "submit draft for review" button and then someone will review it. Mostly submissions get reviewed within a day, but it can sometimes take three months or so. However, elementary schools aren't usually notable ↗, so you might be better off creating a redirect ↗ to a list of schools in the area, and adding some description there.
:I hope that helps! Please feel free to ask if you have any more questions. Good luck, and thanks for volunteering (: <span class="nowrap"><span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0 on fire</span> <span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537">()</span></span> 08:26, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from PageGoblin (09:39, 20 May 2026)

Hi mentor. I may have labelled a few non-minor edits as minor edits. Is there any way to revert them? --PageGoblin (talk) 09:39, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

:{{re|PageGoblin}} Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! It's technically possible to revert the edits, but that wouldn't be helpful as long as the edit itself was an improvement. There's no way to retroactively mark as not minor. You could theoretically make a dummy edit ↗ saying your previous edit should have been major, but I think you're probably fine unless you did something really ''really'' contentious. Minor edits are a pretty minor thing, and while it's nice to get them right, I don't think it's worth going too far out of your way to fix them. Question from Wishmaster26 (19:43, 28 May 2026)

Hi Lp0, I have a question about a specific source.

I am adding sources and citations to the page for the defunct pro-life organisation TheCall ↗, and specifically politicians associated with it. I have an article from https://www.peoplefor.org/rightwingwatch/post/brownbacks-ties-to-engle-becoming-an-issue-in-kansas-gov-race RightWingWatch ↗, however I don’t know if it’s appropriate considering it may be considered biased. Could you help me with this.

Thanks.
- Wishmaster --Wishmaster26 (talk) 19:43, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

:{{Re|Wishmaster26}} Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for volunteering! Biased sources are actually allowed on Wikipedia ↗, although you might want to attribute the claims (by writing {{tq|according to progressive advocacy group ''Right Wing Watch ↗''...}} or similar), and to consider how much weight ↗ it's appropriate to lend to their point of view (usually the answer is not very much). Bias is separate from the reliability ↗ of the source, which depends on whether they have independent editorial oversight and a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. There's some discussion of this particular group at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 271#Right Wing Watch ↗, which suggests it ''might'' be usable as long as you're careful with it. Good luck, and happy editing! <span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0&nbsp;on&nbsp;fire</span>&nbsp;<span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537">()</span> 08:20, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

You can't create articles directly, but you can submit them through articles for creation ↗ using the article wizard ↗; have a read of Help:Your first article ↗ though. Writing an article is quite difficult, mostly because you need to find secondary sources, which might not exist. Question from CuriousStrange (11:50, 4 June 2026)

:''Note: CuriousStrange's mentor MuffinHunter0 is away.''
Hi,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clos_Marey-Monge exists on en.w.o, but has no equivalent on fr.wiipedia.org where all pommard are under https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pommard_(AOC) which also exists in English.

How can I suggest the removal of the Clos_Marey-Monge stub ?

Cheers, --CuriousStrange (talk) 11:50, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

:{{re|CuriousStrange}} Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Sorry for the rather slow response.
:What to do with stubs that will seemingly never improve is a tricky question. If you don't think it would be possible to have a separate article (of reasonable quality) about Clos Marey-Monge, you could perform a merge ↗ of whatever has sources, into Pommard wine ↗.
:If you think there are enough sources that someone could write an article (this is called notability ↗), then merging is still an option ↗ if you think the article won't be improved in a reasonable amount of time.
:Hopefully that helps! Deciding whether to merge or not can be difficult, and you should feel free to bring it to articles for deletion ↗ for further input if you aren't sure. Good luck, and happy editing! <span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0&nbsp;on&nbsp;fire</span>&nbsp;<span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537;background:inherit">()</span> 07:37, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
:@Lp0 on fire Hey,
:The thing is, I was surprised this Clos got a article in English when it wasn't deemed necessary in French.
:I'd like to bring it for deletion, but it seems complex because my account is not autoconfirmed yet.
:Maybe I should do more edites first. CuriousStrange (talk) 09:00, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
::In all likelihood, the reason there's one in English but not in French is because someone bothered writing one in English but no one bothered writing one in French. I'm happy to nominate it for deletion on your behalf, but you're only one edit away, and then you'll be able to do it with Twinkle which is much easier. :{{re|Chairseawer}} Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! The visual editor ↗ provides some ability to format citations automatically, but it isn't perfect. In general, it's best to double-check that what it's done is correct, and fix it if not (if the citation is in the wrong place, you can usually just copy and paste it to the correct place). Question from Mohamed Gamal Fathy Ramadan Hassan Abdullah (20:00, 30 June 2026)

Mohamed Gamal Fathy Ramadan Hassan Abdullah (talk) 20:00, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

I have a memoir of myself, Keenan Rodammer, growing up with parents owning “The Listening Room Inc est 1973” in Saginaw, Michigan. It is also about how I named “Lana Del Rey” when I was 12.

This is the memoir I would like cited to create edits on Lana Del Rey’s page as well as used to make a new page for my parent’s corporation they started.

Question from VijayChavdaSEO (09:03, 8 July 2026)

Hi! I'm new to Wikipedia and want to make sure I follow the rules correctly.
I work in digital marketing/SEO for a company, and I have a conflict of
interest disclosure on my user page. I'd like to eventually suggest edits or
improvements to a company-related article (not my own employer — a different
company), but I'm not sure whether that also counts as something I need to
disclose, and what the right process is (e.g. Talk page suggestions vs.
Articles for Creation). Could you point me in the right direction? Thank you! --VijayChavdaSEO (talk) 09:03, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

:{{Re|VijayChavdaSEO}} thanks for checking in! My number one piece of advice is to avoid using large language models ↗ (AI chatbots); they're prohibited for just about all purposes ↗. It seems you already know about using {{t|edit COI}}, but the full guidance is at WP:PAID ↗ and I'd recommend reading that when you have time.{{pbr}}When editing about other companies, it's likely you still have a COI, for example if the company is a trading partner of your employer, or even a competitor. As a rule of thumb if someone might think you have a COI it's probably best to submit edits on the talk page rather than editing directly, even if you don't actually have one.{{pbr}}Hope that helps; good luck, and happy editing! <span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0&nbsp;on&nbsp;fire</span>&nbsp;<span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537;background:inherit">()</span> 11:30, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from PaniCarpathian (15:21, 8 July 2026)

Hello! I want to translate this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coverture
into Ukrainian. Got any tips? --PaniCarpathian (talk) 15:21, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

:{{Re|PaniCarpathian}} Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm not familiar with the policies of Ukrainian Wikipedia but it looks like there's some guidance at :uk:Вікіпедія:Переклад ↗ which might help! Make sure you use an edit summary like {{xt|translated from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coverture}} as this provides attribution to the original authors, which is required for copyright reasons. Good luck, and happy editing! <span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0&nbsp;on&nbsp;fire</span>&nbsp;<span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537;background:inherit">()</span> 17:24, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
