30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history at :Hurricane Melissa ↗ shows that you are currently engaged in an '''edit war ↗'''. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please ''stop editing the page'' and use the '''talk page ↗''' to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus ↗ among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished ↗. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗ such as a third opinion ↗. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection ↗ while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.

'''If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing ↗ Wikipedia'''&mdash;especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor ''must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period''. Undoing another editor's work&mdash;whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time&mdash;counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring&mdash;'''even if you do not violate the three-revert rule'''&mdash; if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page.<!-- Template:uw-3rr --> Jasper Deng (talk) 22:59, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ '''You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war ↗, according to the reverts you've made to :Hurricane Maria ↗.''' This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate ↗ with others, avoid editing disruptively ↗, and try to reach a consensus ↗ – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:
# {{strong|Edit warring is disruptive behavior ↗ – regardless of how many reverts you have made;}}
# {{strong|Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.}}
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page ↗ and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. Your changes to WWII

Hello there

Please don't try to force through your changes over the objections of other editors. Two editors have objected to your changes to the info box so it is now up to you to seek consensus on the article talk page. Please see: WP:ONUS ↗. If you are going to try to make changes to the info box it would also be a good idea to achieve competence in source coding. You can practice in your sandbox until things turn out the way you want them to.

Thank you Aemilius Adolphin (talk) 07:49, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

:hello there
:Two editors agree that we shouldn't bold the words allies and axis in the info box, so you are in a minority of one on this. Instead on insisting, you should seek to build a consensus for your preferred option on talk.

Suffix

Regarding this edit ↗, the documentation specifically indicates that the suffix parameters are to support footnotes; why do you believe the parameter should ''not'' contain footnotes? Nikkimaria (talk) 00:23, 8 May 2026 (UTC)

:::::Perhaps I phrased it wrong. I meant to say that generally for reader’s convenience, if a record low or record high stat is achieved in a tropical cyclone we have used the suffix parameter to note that below. There’s nothing wrong with the footnote, but for reader’s purposes when they first view the page we have kept that as it has been so it’s easy for them to see. Yes the small font was an issue and I went and fixed most of them. ::It’s an easy fix, just add the <code>|Pressurepre = <</code> parameter above the pressure parameter (while removing the < from that as it now considers it invalid). '''''MarioProtIV''''' (talk/contribs ↗) 19:41, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
::That seems to work, but now there's another problem. The infoboxes aren't displaying the field name '''Pressure''' before the numbers; instead, they're displaying <nowiki>{{{Pressure}}}</nowiki> and no numbers at all. Look at the infoboxes for the individual hurricanes in 1893 Atlantic hurricane season ↗, for example. Deor (talk) 23:57, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Ugh. I’ll take a closer look at it when I get home as I’m currently not near a computer to easily fix it. I sandboxed this a lot earlier making sure everything was good before merging, but I guess some errors slipped through the cracks. '''''MarioProtIV''''' (talk/contribs ↗) 00:02, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
::::If it's of any help, many of the affected pages can be seen in the list at :Category:ParserFunction errors ↗ in the "0–9" section. Deor (talk) 00:07, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Any progress on this? Deor (talk) 13:59, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::{{ping|Deor}} Fixed, at least I hope it is. A quick look seems to me its working properly now. '''''MarioProtIV''''' (talk/contribs ↗) 16:18, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::Well, the relevant pages have been cleared from :Category:ParserFunction errors ↗, so I guess the ParserFunction problem has beeen addressed; but the field name '''Pressure''' no longer exists. Look at the infoboxes in 1901 Atlantic hurricane season ↗, for instance; the pressure information appears as part of the '''Peak intensity''' field, separated from the wind speed by a semicolon. Was that your intention? Deor (talk) 17:41, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::::God damnit. No, because I’m trying to have them not show up if they’re not being used, mainly for the use with winter storms. '''''MarioProtIV''''' (talk/contribs ↗) 18:17, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::Actually I just tested the show preview thing on an older revision of the template and the pressures always been separated by a semi-colon, so it’s actually correct for once I think. With storms with an unknown pressure it’s always been excluded since nothings typed into the parameter. '''''MarioProtIV''''' (talk/contribs ↗) 18:23, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
{{outdent}} Then I suppose all is well. Thanks for your efforts. Deor (talk) 18:52, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

Draftification of article 2026 Union City tornado ↗

This article was ready for mainspace and published by a confirmed user, if it is published again do not under any circumstances undo it The Rochelle EF4 (talk) 17:18, 14 June 2026 (UTC)

:Please read WP:NTORNADO ↗. It has not been 6 months yet which is the amount of time needed to pass for it to meet WP:LASTING ↗ criteria. This was specifically brought up at the discussion about deleting/merging ↗ it in the first place. '''''MarioProtIV''''' (talk/contribs ↗) 18:04, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
::Explain how several tornado articles got published within weeks then The Rochelle EF4 (talk) 18:05, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
:::There are certain cases in which WP:IAR ↗ is invoked, primarily if the death toll is in the double digits (Somerset-London), or exceptional intensity (even months afterward for a rural tornado - see Enderlin). Some of these though should not have been published, because of LASTING. '''''MarioProtIV''''' (talk/contribs ↗) 18:11, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
