Aromanian names

The Aromanian minority is not too insignificant.Aromanians live inside the cities and towns that you describe. Many left for Greece so as to work as immigrants, since Albania is a relatively poor country.Many of us were hellenized. It was the only way to leave. That way the Greek minority in Albania is Huge. Aromanians declared as Greeks. Only in the recent years has Albania recovered economically and politically and gave us Aromanians to express ourselves and who we are. It is an officially recognized minority and we are estimated at around 200.000. We just got assimilated and absorbed by forgetting our language. Our national hymn also states that (Parinteasca Dimandare). I was just trying to preserve the language and the toponyms of the Aromanians that my forefathers used for centuries in this country when they wandered with their flocks of sheep and goats. I do not believe in racism nor am I offending anyone. I respect and appreciate all countries and peoples around the world. But you know what, you are correct, the Albanian laws do not allow us to have schools because we are too few. It doesn't matter anymore. I am sorry, I apologize. I knew Albania was not a democratic country, so do as you please. It is your country after all. We have no place there. In the recent past The Albanian Civil War of 1997 forced my parents out of the country permanently and for good reason. My friend, Wikipedia is about facts not feelings. Those facts state that Aromanians make up less than 1% of Albania's population. Adding Aromanian toponyms to Wikipedia articles is not going to make anything better. All the best MercedesBenz240 (talk) 21:45, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

No feelings. Unofficial estimates place us at around 200.000 people. The Romanian embassy in Tirana, Albania places us at around 300.000 which is an exaggerated number but still we are many.The Greeks place at around 150.000. I already reported an assimilation process and extinction of the language. That is a fact. Albania has a small Aromanian community now, because of immigration and assimilation.Many people did not declare their affiliation. It is your duty to recognize us all. Disruptive page moves


Don't move a page around to several different titles. Doing so can make it horrendously difficult to keep track of the history of a page.
