If you leave a question/comment here, I will respond your comments/questions here, not on your talk page. If you left a question or anything else to which you want me to respond, check back here; I don't leave {{Talkback ↗}} alerts but I do usually reply quickly. Also, if I left a message on your page and you're coming over here to respond, I'd prefer that you respond under my point/question on your own page, please try ''not'' to leave a {{Talkback ↗}} message for me. This way keeps the whole conversation on one section and you don't have to shuttle through two or more pages to follow the conversation chronologically. Thanks. —Mr. Matté
Hubbards Bridge, River PLaza, red bank
Its great to see Fredrick Pohl's house on the corner, and still painted grey, as in the 70's. I used to see Randi's (the Amazing) red ford pinto (i think) parked there (He'd had a domino mask painted on the door, about the size of 2 packs of cigarettes end to end).
I woder if the house is still in the family - i'd bet it is from the paint job 2603:6010:5207:1300:FDEE:7453:AB08:8676 ↗ (talk) 02:55, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

US 70 Map
US 70 Map is still very outdated.
It had since changed in the Triad and it needs to be a reflection of it.
It follows Wendover Avenue. Beejayhelper (talk) 15:19, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Help with KML?
Hello Mr. Matté,
I just recently made Forest Service Road System ↗, and someone marked that I needed a KML file on the talk page.
The KML file for the Forest Service Road System is publicly available ↗, and presumably public domain (uploaded by the US Government), but the issue I'm having is that it's massive. It's a little over a gigabyte. I don't know enough about KML to know if this can be trimmed down maybe. If you're able to help or even just offer advice that'd be fantastic, thank you.
feedmepaperr (talk) 07:21, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
:Couple of things: You can run the KML file through QGIS ↗ and use the simplify function to remove some points. Maybe start out with a smoothing factor of 0.00001 and increase from there if still too big. From there, you can save as a shaepfile .shp or another KML file.
:Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Maps task force#KML files ↗ does have a tutorial on how to turn the file into a file ready for Wiki. However what's left of the USRD on there generally do not use the KML files anymore. We generally create JSON files that can be uploaded to Commons (which you can't do with KML files) and then use for interactive maps. There's a JSON tutorial in the section right below the linked KML tutorial section. —'''Mr. Matté''' (Talk/Contrib ↗) 12:12, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you, I appreciate the guidance :)

Map for Florida State Road 12
Hi there, while looking at Florida State Road 12 ↗ I noticed the map and caption you added in this edit ↗ don't match. Maybe something changed (it has been six years!) but now the map shows CR-12 in purple, former FL-12 in brown, and doesn't indicate FL-269 at all. I've tweaked the caption but was thinking you might want to be aware in case this was an unintended change to the map! - The Bushranger <span style="color: maroon;">One ping only</span> 03:54, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
:Sorry for the late response. Yes the Data:Florida State Road 12.map ↗ file had been updated recently to change some colors and formatting by others. Most road article maintainers had left or stopped editing regular Wikipedia for reasons too long to get here. When the .map file was updated, the legend had not been updated in the article here as well. Looks like your updated caption is fine. —'''Mr. Matté''' (Talk/Contrib ↗) 22:54, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
