Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Category:RuPaul's Drag Race season 6 episodes ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗

A tag has been placed on :Category:RuPaul's Drag Race season 6 episodes ↗ indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category ↗, a category redirect ↗, under discussion at Categories for discussion ↗, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. Category recreation

Naraht, are you aware of this previous deletion discussion ↗? I ask due to your recreation of :Category:RuPaul's Drag Race season 6 episodes ↗.-- <span style="color: Navy;">'''Ponyo'''</span><span style="color: Navy;">''bons mots''</span> 20:06, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:{{U|Ponyo}} Yes. That isn't what these categories are. These categories are specific to the episodes rather than overall to the seasons. *Both* levels existed at that point and once the Season categories were deleted in this CFD and later a *lot* of back and forth over the notability of individual episodes the primary author moved all of the episodes to Draft and the season episode categories were deleted. See :Category:RuPaul's Drag Race season 5 episodes ↗ for information on when the *episode* categories for each season occured and the notifications to me are at User_talk:Naraht/Archive_18 ↗, specifically around 21 November, by Liz.

:Once enough episodes of each season went through the AFC process for a season, the episode categories were recreated. (Given that they weren't removed by a CFD but rather after being emptied, there is no issue with recreating them) Each of the categories has at least three entries. There are a few left in the overall :Category:RuPaul's Drag Race episodes ↗ for the seasons that don't have three episodes.Naraht (talk) 20:18, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::Okay, I just wanted to double check that you were aware as the recreation popped up in an edit filter. Cheers, -- <span style="color: Navy;">'''Ponyo'''</span><span style="color: Navy;">''bons mots''</span> 20:23, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:::I understand. I presume this means that if :Category:ABC DEF GHI ↗ had been deleted in a CFD then creating :Category:ABC DEF GHI JKL ↗ would hit the filter?Naraht (talk) 20:26, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:::{{U|Ponyo}} Apologies, didn't ping.Naraht (talk) 20:27, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::::I'm not sure exactly what specifically tripped the recreation filer in this case. All good though!-- <span style="color: Navy;">'''Ponyo'''</span><span style="color: Navy;">''bons mots''</span> 20:35, 23 January 2026 (UTC)

The arclimits method

It appears you had reverted my update of the Angle Trisection page. If you are able to refute my solution, which I have called the arclimits method, I would welcome correction. Sandwich the arc of an angle between a straight line and a semicircle, both of which may be divided into thirds easily, and connect those dividing points. I wonder if the line to connect/trisect/divide is exactly circular, and would enjoy comment. But I cannot reason that the trisecting line would inflect in any way; whereas I reason it must depart from the straight line's dividing point perpendicularly Michaelatobias (talk) 14:51, 30 March 2026 (UTC)

New Page Patrol Newsletter - May 2026

<!-- do not use ;Header to make bold headers per H:DL ↗, causes errors for screen readers -->
Hello {{BASEPAGENAME}},

thumb|400px|New Page Review queue November 2025 - May 2026 ↗

'''Backlog update'''

At the time of this message, there are 15,282 articles and 32,951 redirects awaiting review.

After the January–February drive the article backlog was reduced to 15,179 articles and the redirect backlog to 19,053 respectively. Great job! However, both queues are growing rapidly and any additional reviews are highly appreciated.

'''2024 and 2025 NPP Awards'''

74px|left ↗{{no ping|JTtheOG}} was selected as the NPP reviewer of the year for both 2024 and 2025, for reviewing the most articles amongst all reviewers.
{{no ping|Hey man im josh}} and {{no ping|MPGuy2824}} won the Redirect Ninja Master Award for 2024 and 2025 respectively, for reviewing the most redirects.

Overall in 2024, one Platinum, two Gold, eight Silver, 12 Bronze and 45 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 66 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year. In 2025, one Platinum, ten Silver, 13 Bronze and 38 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 38 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year.

{{no ping|BoyTheKingCanDance}}, {{no ping|Rosiestep}}, {{no ping|SunDawn}}, and {{no ping|Vanderwaalforces}} were inducted into the NPP Hall of Fame ↗ for having two separate years of 2,000+ article reviews.

'''January–February backlog drive'''

The experimental two-month long backlog drive concluded with 183 reviewers patrolling over 27,761 articles and 35,309 redirects, earning over 36,836 points. Congratulations to {{no ping|JTtheOG}}, who achieved first place with 6,484.6 points in this drive.

'''May backlog drive'''

An article-only backlog drive is currently underway. We are hoping to make a big dent in the backlog. You can read more about it or join at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/May 2026 ↗.

'''PageTriage'''

An attempt was made to get the New Pages Feed ↗ to sort by date marked as reviewed instead of date created. However we had to revert it due to bugs. We may try again in the future. You can subscribe to the Phabricator ticket ↗ if you're interested in following along.

Stupid mistake

(Perpetrated by me, not you.) Before spending my time doing this ↗, I should have looked to see if there was an article with the same title (but conventionally capitalized). After editing, I did notice that there indeed was, and was about to zap the draft -- but found that you'd beat me to it. There's a moral in that, somewhere. Just out of curiosity...

... is Special:Diff/1356075077 ↗ really necessary? Whitespace is not usually something we care about, especially in templates. I've seen a few of these now, and they seem rather pointless. Primefac (talk) 19:46, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
:I was trying to clean up the usages of dts where I had left a space behind in the template when I had used my editor to add dts to the chapter and it sort of grew from there. I didn't think it was a problem to clean up, but now that you've objected, I can see where it falls into the category of things that don't change what the user sees. Sorry. :(Naraht (talk) 20:02, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
::No worries, thanks for the explanation. Primefac (talk) 20:23, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Check your Regex with AWB

Please be sure to check your AWB ↗ edits. Special:Diff/1358346093 ↗, Special:Diff/1358346908 ↗ & Special:Diff/1358348540 ↗ all duplicated the {{para|open_theme}} parameter. We all make mistakes with AWB, but these are pretty glaring as the duplicated parameters were right next to eachother showing you did not review the edits at all. The last one also had a misleading edit summary. '''<span style="color:#00d5ff !important">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94 !important">mann</span>''' (Talk to me ↗/<span style="color:orange !important">What I been doing</span> ↗) 04:11, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
:{{U|Zackmann08}} Hmm. I thought that the automatic fixes of depreciated parameters by AWB would clean that up. I'd see that in the past, may have to loop through again. (So it will eliminate if A exists twice, but not when the change duplicates A) I completely agree on the last, I don't know what happened on the last one's edit summary (I had had a consistent title out of AWB, wierd.) Thank you for the catch.Naraht (talk) 04:22, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
:As an additional comment, While I initially was doing normal replaces (without regex) I then noticed it was doing narrated to narrator without me including that in my changes. I was actually pulling from the category that had the depreciated parameters and AWB was doing the depreciated paramters itself, so no regex at all (which is unusual for my AWB edits.Naraht (talk) 04:24, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

"3st" & "4st"

Sorry to bother you about this again, but do you know of a possible advanced search that would find articles that contain ''both'' the strings "3st", and "4st"? I am asking this as I have came ↗ across ↗ four separate ↗ examples ↗ of articles that have abbreviations of numerical adjectives listed as just ''n''st, regardless of what ''n'' is, and I wanted to know if there are more out there, although it could also be useful just to have ''any'' advanced search that only selects articles that have both of 2 adjustable strings. {{break}}
I haven't been very active in the past 10 days, so hopefully I will feel the desire to edit again, since I have only done maybe 10% of the master typo list ↗, at most. - BlueEleephant (talk · contribs ↗) 02:51, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

:{{u|BlueEleephant}} sorry for not getting back to you. You want anything with the letters 3st or 4st in that order so it will find 93st and 94st? Naraht (talk) 14:15, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
::{{U|BlueEleephant}}. I did the following https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?limit=500&fulltext=1&ns0=1&profile=advanced&search=insource%3A%2F3st%5B%5Ea-z%5D%2Fi+insource%3A%2F4st%5B%5Ea-z%5D%2Fi&title=Special%3ASearch . This eliminates anything like 3stirring. This causes a few groupings of perhaps problematic pages to jump out. One group is Russian Soldiers, who have :File:RUS Georgievsky Krest 3st BAR.svg ↗ and :File:RUS Georgievsky Krest 4st BAR.svg ↗ in their list of medals. Since that is from a Russian government source and it is apparently from a Russian source, I'm not sure it is worth applying for a name change on Commons (which would then filter down to the english version. A second group is images for various pieces of Beethoven Symphonies where the 3st (and 5st for example) are in the image names of musical scores. A third group is in URLs to a specific german sports team's website. Not sure what the st means after the date, not sure it is worth it for those. Let me know if you'd like help on either of the groups of images and renaming.Naraht (talk) 18:04, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Thanks! I am on vacation right now, so I am not able to edit anything with adequate efficiency, although I should get back on the 21st of June, not sure what time though. - BlueEleephant (talk · contribs ↗) 19:02, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
