Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia ↗! Thank you for your contributions ↗; however, ''please'' remember the essential rule of respecting copyright ↗s. '''Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page :Siberian Tatars ↗, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license ↗.''' It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you ''can'' clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse ↗, or you can {{edit|Special:MyTalk|click here to ask a question on your talk page|section=new|preload=Help:Contents/helpmepreload|preloadtitle=Help me!}} and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tilde ↗s (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:56, 23 May 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Mellk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, :Ket people ↗, but you didn't provide a reliable source ↗. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable ↗. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation ↗, your edit is archived in the page history ↗. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mellk (talk) 05:48, 19 July 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please do not add or change content, as you did at :Siberian Tatars ↗, without citing a reliable source ↗. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources ↗ to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. --Altenmann ↗ >talk ↗ 02:17, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here ↗, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy ↗.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 10:57, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

30px|link=|alt=Copyright problem icon ↗ Your edit to :Kurdak-Sargat Tatars ↗ has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted ↗ material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission ↗ from the copyright holder. If you {{em|are}} the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗ for information on how to contribute your work appropriately. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ I've noticed you keep reverting this paragraph on this article https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jie_people&diff=prev&oldid=1309936751 ↗, I've checked the source and there's no mention of the clans that are mentioned. The no original research ↗ is an important policy of Wikipedia, please do not revert or change the content without citing verifiable sources. LothofOrkney (talk) 09:27, 7 September 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please do not add external links to the same paper into numerous articles, like you did, e.g., here ↗. This looks like a promotion of Nikolai Tomilov. Tobol Tatars ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Tobol Tatars ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because '''it needs more sources to establish notability'''.
I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Your recent edits/revisions on Giray Dynasty

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Narym2025! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore a version of an article. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy ↗. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you're doing is justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages ↗ in order to try to reach a consensus ↗ with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement, please use one of the dispute resolution options ↗ that are available in order to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of repeatedly reverting other editors' changes can help you avoid getting drawn into edit wars. 30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ You appear to be engaged in an '''edit war ↗'''. An ''edit war'' occurs when editors who disagree about the content of a page repeatedly revert each other's changes. Please '''do not revert or undo''' the edits made by other editors when your changes are reverted. Instead, use the '''talk page ↗''' to discuss how the page can represent consensus ↗ among the editors involved. Here is some advice on how to do this ↗. If discussions get stuck, you can request a third opinion ↗, ask for help at a relevant noticeboard ↗, or seek dispute resolution ↗.

'''Edit warring can result in being blocked from editing ↗''', especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts ↗ within 24 hours on one page. Undoing any other editor's work, in whole or in part, involving the same or different material, is a revert. You can still be blocked for edit warring '''even if you do not violate the three-revert rule''' should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.--Ermenrich (talk) 12:43, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. And now you're removing sourced information and replacing it with unsourced ↗. That's purely disruptive editing. Canterbury Tail talk 19:31, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

:It looks like Narym2025 has continued their usual pattern right after coming from a block for similar reasons. I think they have been given enough rope ↗ and it's time for a formal WP:ANI report now. Sutyarashi (talk) 19:49, 4 July 2026 (UTC)

Blocked

For your persistent adding of unsourced material, edit warring, adding of your own original research, adding refs that clearly don't support the claims being made, general disruption and complete and utter refusal to discuss edits or use talk pages when your poor edits are reverted. Upon returning if you continue to add your own original research, don't source everything clearly, or continue editing warring or disruptive editing, you will be blocked indefinitely. Canterbury Tail talk 21:05, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
