Edits must include a supporting citation

Your edit to the 2024 United States Senate election in Michigan β†— article was reverted because your edit regarding Justin Amash β†— being a potential third party candidate was reverted because there is no citation from a journalistic source or from the Libertarian Party web site to support your edit. Please include a supporting citation that is NOT from Amash himself to support your edit. Steelbeard1 (talk) 20:43, 1 February 2024 (UTC)

:There is no need for a citation besides the one I included. Amash is a Libertarian party member considering a run for the Senate, he's said he's considering running in the Republican primary, but because he's a Libertarian it's absolutely logical to assume that's a possible route he could take. RickStrate2029 (talk) 01:41, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
::This explanation is a good example of original research β†—, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. A logical assumption is not enough to include something, it must be directly supported by a reliable source. This policy has been in place for over 2 decades and is one of Wikipedia's core content policies β†—. Jamedeus (talk) 07:44, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
:::Ah, fair enough. I won't re-add that section into the page unless further information compels me to. RickStrate2029 (talk) 05:24, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

30px|link= β†— You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war β†—&#32; according to the reverts you have made on :2024 Democratic Party presidential primaries β†—. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate β†— with others, to avoid editing disruptively β†—, and to try to reach a consensus β†—, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:
# '''Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;'''
# '''Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.'''
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page β†— to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. Introduction to contentious topics

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''the Arab–Israeli conflict β†—''', a topic designated as '''''contentious β†—'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee β†—. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators β†— have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

<p><strong>Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days β†—, and you are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.</strong></p><p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics <em>procedures</em>, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard β†— or you may learn more about this contentious topic β†—. Endorsements

Social media is not a permittable source for endorsements '''made by individuals'''. It is intentionally exempt from the organization criteria because there was not enough consensus to ban it. The onus is now on you to prove why it would not be reliable given that all other editors on the page disagree with you :) aesurias <small>''(ping me in your reply, or I won't see it)'' (talk)</small> 20:48, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon β†— Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines β†— in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name does not follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus β†— needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test β†— Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page β†— to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. ''Please seek consensus prior to moving articles and especially refrain from doing so across multiple articles where no discussion has established a basis for a move. ~''<!-- Template:uw-move1 --> Pbritti (talk) 19:28, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

:Welcome to you as well. The article was moved due to consensus in the talk page, and the information provided in the sources used throughout the page (which indicate the new title was more fitting than the old one.) The new title will be restored shortly, in future edits I'd encourage you to keep WP:NPOV in mind. RickStrate2029 (talk) 22:48, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
::A suggestion from one other editor is not consensus. The re-moving after you were reverted and asked to engage in the discussion process is disruptive. :::RickStrate2029, please listen to what Oklopfer said: you did something unideal with your undiscussed moves, but massively escalated the issue by doubling down (which contradicts a number of important policies). If you are unfamiliar with a Wikipedia process, please seek guidance at the Teahouse β†— or one of the many other helpful places on the project. ~ Pbritti (talk) 02:12, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
::::I'd encourage you to avoid any further edit warring, as that specifically is pretty expressly forbidden per Wikipedia policy. Your soft violations of WP:NPOV are one thing, but nobody likes an edit war. RickStrate2029 (talk) 03:49, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

::::::::Unfortunately, the only one unable to comprehend what they're speaking about in this instance is you. My recommendation would be to not spread misinformation, there are two different discussions in the talk page right now where a majority of editors approve of the changes I've initiated.
::::::::You're all alone on this one, nobody supports the unilateral changes you keep pushing, but I suppose we'll see where the conversation leads. RickStrate2029 (talk) 17:47, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::No, I disagree with the change, too. You should open a formal requested move using the link I provided above to substantiate your claim that the majority of other editors support such a change.
:::::::::Your responses here don't feel like they are fully in good faith, so I would also like to caution you about that. ~ <span style="color: #e3308a">oklopfer</span> (πŸ’¬) 20:51, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::It's clear that you're new to this platform, and have much to learn about the Wikipedia process and it's most important policies. Making significant changes on a unilateral basis is generally frowned up, my recommendation would be to continue your trajectory no further. RickStrate2029 (talk) 00:25, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
