Your questions

I realize I just said you could put your RFC back up, but I notice that another experienced editor has already discussed this with you ↗. Please follow RedRose's advice on this with regards to WP:TALKBEFORE ↗. I'm not intersested in politics and templates, so I can't give you any further advice on this other than to use article talk pages to discuss changes and get consensus for major changes (like introducing new templates). <b>OhNo<span style="color: #D47C14;">itsJamie</span> Talk</b> 17:26, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

:Ok—I already made the changes to include the past discussion link on the RFC. Should I still take it down?
:Thanks! RiverMan18 (talk) 18:38, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

::Do you have any more disc logos for political parties, and if you do, may I use them for my US govsim? I really like your work!

:::There might be more disc logos on Wikimedia Commons—search for “party disc” or “disc logo” or something like that, and they should all show up.<br />FYI, only two of the disc logos are my own work (most of them are by two other users). I’m fine with you using them (to be honest, I don’t think I can stop you), and it’s good that they’re getting some use. RiverMan18 (talk) 15:30, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Nomination for merger of Template:Infobox US political party ↗

30px|alt=|link= ↗Template:Infobox US political party ↗ has been nominated for merging ↗ with Template:Infobox political party ↗. You are invited to comment on the discussion at '''the template's entry''' ↗ on the Templates for discussion page. Thank you.<!--Template:Tfmnotice--> A1Cafel (talk) 07:27, 25 December 2024 (UTC)

:Ok—thanks! I just added a comment. RiverMan18 (talk) 20:33, 25 December 2024 (UTC)

incomplete handling

See also "Libertarian Disc.svg" usage on en.wikipedia.org, it would be even more strange if only a small part of it was changed without any other replacements, I think incomplete handling of reverted in recent years needs to reviewed. Cbls1911 (talk) 17:43, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

:Ok—so should it be removed across the board on Wikipedia? RiverMan18 (talk) 01:28, 18 February 2025 (UTC)

Haiii River

it's been a while River! Remember me, I'm crazy from the backrooms wiki!
How are you doing? I personally am doing fairly well currently, kinda got diagnosed with a depression and stuff yknow, but I have found ways to cope. We really miss you a lot so how about you come chat with us on the backrooms fandom wiki or the discord server every once of a while?
Your last message on the server was really concerning, we were worried sick about you. but I'm glad you seem to still be around, even if thats not the case on the backrooms wiki.

Best Regards,
Crazy! :3 Crazylosthismind (talk) 17:00, 7 September 2025 (UTC)

:@Crazylosthismind Hi! I’m doing pretty good—I’m sorry that you got diagnosed with depression, but I’m happy that you found ways to get past it.
:To be honest, I’ve sort of moved on from the wiki. I went through a lot of stuff in late 2023 and early 2024–the upshot is that my family’s banned me from the wiki for a while. (It’s not a Fandom rule—it was done by my family.)
:I might come back at some point, though—I sort of miss it. I miss the Backrooms and the community I found there. And I do think I can still write good levels.
:How’s the wiki doing? I saw that the negative levels got removed.
:Please tell the wiki I said hi (and that I’m still alive lol). If they have Wikipedia accounts, they can find me here. RiverMan18 (talk) 13:19, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
::@RiverMan18 The wiki's been doing mostly fine recently [...] besides a few kiddos complaining about the negative level removal of course xD. A lot of stuff happened while you were gone, here lemme make a list of some:
::* Mickey / Mctoran was blocked and demoted for some shitty behavior
::* Alway left
::* Pexy came out as transfemme (not too long ago)
::* The wiki joined the fandom compass wiki program
::Some more stuff happened, but I missed a bunch of it since I was gone for almost two years as well xD.
::See you soon! Crazylosthismind (talk) 15:12, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
:::@CrazylosthismindInteresting. Are the 9-year-olds still a big problem?
:::What’s the compass wiki program? RiverMan18 (talk) 16:07, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
::::@RiverMan18 afaik they're still a problem. though I must admit, I havent seen as many lately

Your unsourced changes

I noticed that you changed that you changed and added a bunch of information in List of political parties in the United States ↗ without providing any sources. It would be helpful if you provided some sources in the article or on the summary. Thanks! Breck0530 (talk) 19:46, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

:Ok—I’ll do it.
:I do have one question though—the revisions came from a set of sources that I compiled (particularly the ballot access pages of various secretary of state websites). How should I cite this? Should I just put all the links up, or should I do it in some other way?
:Thanks! RiverMan18 (talk) 20:08, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
::Cite them where you received info like membership count (cite website or book)
::I also recommend creating a sandbox. It is a place where you can store and test your edits undisturbed before publishing. Breck0530 (talk) 22:12, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
::if you don't know how to cite, this ↗ should tell you what you need to do. Breck0530 (talk) 22:14, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
:::Ok—thank you. I’ll add the citations to my sandbox. RiverMan18 (talk) 22:42, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

:I do just have one question.
:Why did you remove all my abbreviations on the historical/defunct parties? Breck0530 (talk) 18:04, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
::My mistake—I didn’t see those on the page. I’ll put them back in soon. Thanks for letting me know. RiverMan18 (talk) 14:22, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
:::Thanks! Breck0530 (talk) 15:15, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
::::@Breck0530 For the ballot access section, having a chapter in a state doesn’t mean it has ballot access there—having its name listed as a political party (major or minor) in that state (often via the Secretary of State’s website) does.
::::Also, is it ok if we move parties with chapters/affiliates in multiple states, but ballot access in only one (such as the Liberal Party USA) to the multi-state third party page? I feel like these parties are in a different category than parties like the Colorado Center Party (which only operates in Colorado and which, based on its name, has no desire to expand).
::::Thanks! RiverMan18 (talk) 13:33, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::In response to your first question, this is true. You can do that but after you have a reliable source.
:::::In response to your second question, I am not sure. I'm pretty sure that this is a thing that you can state on the page's talk page. However, I would advise against making changes yet because people might be confused that there are parties with ballot access in one state in the multi-state category. Breck0530 (talk) 15:22, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
::::::Ok—thanks!
::::::For the first one, I do have reliable sources (Ballotpedia and the Secretary of State websites I added earlier above the party list). For the second, maybe we could put them in a new category? RiverMan18 (talk) 15:36, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::::ok then just cite them next to how much states the parties has access too. Also, for the second I recommend talking about it on the talk page of the article to see different people's opinions first. Thanks! Breck0530 (talk) 15:50, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
::::::::Im not really sure about citing them next to every party for ballot access—there’s probably around 30 different sources for each one all grouped into one reference, and if I copy-paste it for everything it might clog up the code a lot. You sure? Right now it’s just as a note before the party list. RiverMan18 (talk) 17:39, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::::::Just one should be fine Breck0530 (talk) 18:31, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello River

This is Bobz99 from Backrooms Fandom, if you remember me. I found your Wikipedia account, and I wonder how things are going for you. So many things have changed since the 2 or 3 years we last met. I haven't been active on the fandom for just over 2 years now.

If you want to talk more in depth, you could slide me a DM on discord (bobz99)

Have a nice day! Bobz99 (talk) 05:47, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

:@Bobz99 Hi—things are going ok. How are things going with you?
:To be honest, I’ve sort of moved on from the Backrooms—about 3 years away from the wiki will do that to you. I am thinking making an analog horror series though. RiverMan18 (talk) 16:24, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
