Women in Red

Hi there, SDGB1217, and welcome to Women in Red. I see that in the short time you have been contributing to Wikipedia, you have not only made constructive improvements to a whole series of biographies of noblewomen and royals but have created a biography of Egidia Stewart. I hope this is the first of many more. In this connection, you should find it useful to look through our Primer ↗. You might also like to sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members ↗ where others will be able to see your interest in the project. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 07:49, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

Margery Manners

Hi, thank you for creating this article. I've tidied it up a bit. You might want to have a look. Song titles are not italicised on Wikipedia, but instead, quote marks are used. It's also worth noting that the sheet music you referenced states those songs as "featured and broadcast" by Manners, not "recorded". It was quite common in those days for artists to appear on sheet music without having recorded the song. Sorry if you know this already. Incidentally, someone removed the death date from the article lead, which I have restored - as far as I'm aware, it is the custom on Wikipedia articles. TrottieTrue (talk) 16:45, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

Harry Paulo

''This is the House that Jack built; or, Harlequin Pussy Cat, Where Have You Been? The Little Wee Dog and the Good Child's History of England''
Is that all one title? The formatting reads like it is, but I'm not sure. TrottieTrue (talk) 11:52, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

:It is one title yes! SDGB1217 (talk) 13:10, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
::Thanks for clarifying! I wasn't sure. I did some more tidying of the article, which you might want to look at. TrottieTrue (talk) 14:26, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted

right|80px ↗
Hi SDGB1217, I just wanted to let you know that I have <span class="plainlinks">added ↗</span> the autopatrolled user right ↗ to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed ↗. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested ↗ on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers ↗.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject ↗ templates, stub tags ↗, categories ↗, and incoming links ↗ to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies ↗, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller ↗ yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! —Femke 🐦 (talk) 08:08, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

The World Destubathon ↗

You are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. It's currently planned for June 16-July 13, partly due to me having hayfever during that period and not wanting to run it throughout July or August in the hotter summer and will be run then unless multiple editors object. There is currently $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. As 250 countries and entities is too much to patrol, entries will be by user, but there is $500 going into prizes for editors covering the most countries. Sign up if interested! ♦ <span style="font-variant:small-caps;color:#aba67e">''Dr. Blofeld''</span> 13:51, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm 204.111.137.106. I noticed that you recently removed all content from a page. Please do not do this. ↗ Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit ↗ the page and replace it with appropriate content. Chanda Vyas

Thanks for starting the article Chanda Vyas ↗. She had been on my "possible future projects" list since WiR 5 ↗, almost 10 years ago! I might just have managed to get around to her this month, as a nice intersection of WiRs 353 and 354. I've found a Mongolian politician with a U-name for now.

I had her website noted down, couldn't find it, but found it again with "https" rather than the old "http", so I've added it. I had one ref I don't think you included, for which I've found an archived version ↗: Indian recognition of her pioneering status in UK. Sadly http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Chanda-Britain-s-female-Hindu-priest/story-12050616-detail/story.html doesn't seem to have been archived by the Internet Archive and is no longer live on the newspaper's pages. It might be available in an online newspaper archive, or on paper in a Leicester library.

Anyway, I'll now remove her from my "possible to do" list - thanks! <span style="color: green">'''''Pam'''''</span><span style="color: brown">'''''D'''''</span> 16:52, 1 November 2025 (UTC)
