Hi ShelfSkewed - thanks your comment ref. the Sir John Booth ↗ article. Under '''Background''' is this the amendment you were looking for? Didn't quite understand what you meant, but if this is not preferable then can happily change as nec. Best Primm1234 (talk) 16:50, 3 December 2025 (UTC)

Edit question
Hi! Just wondering what I could do better in future on this page ↗, Thanks.
EmsSV (talk) 03:05, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
:In general, write the article first ↗, before adding an unsupported entry to a disambiguation (dab) page. Dab pages are navigation aids for topics available on Wikipedia. With no article for the author or the play, there is nothing for an entry to link to. Alternatively, if you don't want to write an article, but there is an existing article that mentions ↗ the play, you could add an entry to the dab page that includes in its description a link to that article. —<span style="color: Red;">'''Shelf'''</span><span style="color: Black;">'''Skewed'''</span> <span style="color: Blue"><small>Talk</small></span> 03:24, 5 February 2026 (UTC)

The End (2022 and 2025)
I do get your point ↗, but the 2025 version is actually considered a totally different song released on a totally different album. The 2022 version on FFDP's "Afterlife" and the 2025 version on their "Best of (Vol. 2)" compilation. I don't know how you all deal with reissues or new versions, I'll leave that up to you. :) - <small style="white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid #FF7518;padding:1px;"><span style="color:#900;">Neutralhomer</span> • <span style="color:Black;">Talk</span> • 23:00, 19 May 2026 (UTC)</small>
:Just so we're on the same page: Is this just a different version of the original song, or is it actually a completely different song that happens to have the same title? If it's the former, then it wouldn't deserve a separate mention; performers often release different versions of the same song (demo versions, single releases, re-recordings, remixes, live versions, etc.). If it's the latter, then it should have a separate entry pointing to the relevant album. —<span style="color: Red;">'''Shelf'''</span><span style="color: Black;">'''Skewed'''</span> <span style="color: Blue"><small>Talk</small></span> 01:20, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
::This is a little OR-ish: the 2022 version has lyrics sung by FFDP that are now sung by Babymetal (in Japanese) in the 2025 version. I would call it a re-recording with different lyrics (because they are in a different language). That's just my opinion. I'm going to link to the 2022 version ↗ and the 2025 version ↗ so you can judge for yourself.
::Just for clarification, if the 2025 version is or isn't added really makes no difference to me, I am just not familiar with the protocols with how reissues and re-recordings are added. - <small style="white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid #FF7518;padding:1px;"><span style="color:#900;">Neutralhomer</span> • <span style="color:Black;">Talk</span> • 22:47, 20 May 2026 (UTC)</small>

Mama ↗ Songs
Hello! Thanks for the note in your revert, I think we mostly agree. You're right about {{tq|listing songs mentioned in album articles is consensus}}, and I'll also keep the secondary-link piping in mind moving forward. The 4 song entries I'm looking to remove ↗ are linked to an artist instead of an album or song. On each of these pages the song is not discussed in any significant way, often appearing as an entry in a discography table, or not at all (madclip). The four entries are:
:*"Mama", by Ant Wan ↗, 2019
:*"Mama", by Ella Eyre ↗ and Banx & Ranx ↗, 2019
:*"Mama", by the Kelly Family ↗, 1999
:*"MAMA", by MadClip ↗ (1987-2021) Greek-American rapper
Would you take another look at these four to see if you think they can be removed per MOS:DABMENTION ↗? Thanks Matthew Yeager (talk) 17:10, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
:The first three should be listed—the song is mentioned in those articles. What counts as "significant" is subjective; simple chronological context is useful to some, and the discography tables show chart positions and/or the name of the album the song appears on, which is definitely helpful info. The fourth should go—I see no mention of the MadClip song in his article. —<span style="color: Red;">'''Shelf'''</span><span style="color: Black;">'''Skewed'''</span> <span style="color: Blue"><small>Talk</small></span> 17:32, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks for taking a look, I've removed the MadClip entry. I agree that the content within the article (name of album, chart position, etc) should stay. Separately, the target of a disambiguation entry should be ''discussed'' in the linked article, not just mentioned or appearing in a table. Otherwise, we risk producing something closer to a "List of all songs titled ''Mama''."
::When we help readers find the right content, the article we direct them to should have meaningful information about the term. You're right that "significant" is subjective, but when I looked at the articles they only appear as rows in a discography table. Ella Eyre has the content in prose with {{tq|In July 2019, Eyre signed with Island Records and released the single "Mama" featuring Banx & Ranx and Kiana Ledé}}, but still provides no discussion (significance, reception, content, style) about the song. Are there areas within those articles where the songs are discussed that I have missed? Matthew Yeager (talk) 20:04, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Not "List of all songs titled 'Mama{{'"}}, but, yes, "List of all songs titled 'Mama' that are mentioned in a Wikipedia article". And current consensus as I understand it is to list all of them, regardless of the brevity of the mention. The same applies to books, films, fictional characters, and other typical uses. —<span style="color: Red;">'''Shelf'''</span><span style="color: Black;">'''Skewed'''</span> <span style="color: Blue"><small>Talk</small></span> 21:17, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
