Disambiguation link notification for July 28

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Telephone numbers in China ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page LTE ↗ ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Telephone_numbers_in_China check to confirm]&nbsp;|&nbsp;[//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Telephone_numbers_in_China?client=notify fix with Dab solver]). Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Li Yong 2016.jpg

64px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Thank you for uploading ''':File:Li Yong 2016.jpg ↗'''. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline ↗ is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag ↗; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-disputed fair use rationale-notice --> Thryduulf (talk) 21:13, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :File:Scarlet Heart 2 Original TV Soundtrack.jpg ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The file :File:Scarlet Heart 2 Original TV Soundtrack.jpg ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in :Scarlet Heart 2#Soundtrack ↗. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in :WP:NFC#cite_note-3 ↗ and the context for non-free use ↗ required by :WP:NFCC#8 ↗ is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in :WP:FILMSCORE ↗ and :MOS:TVPRODUCTION ↗.</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the file's talk page ↗.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:58, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Wan Li.jpg

32px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':File:Wan Li.jpg ↗'''. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use ↗. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion ↗. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have ''no free equivalent''; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

# Go to the file description page ↗ and add the text {{Tlx|Di-replaceable fair use disputed|&lt;your reason>}} '''below''' the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <code>&lt;your reason></code> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
# On the file discussion page ↗, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license ↗, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on <span class="plainlinks">[{{fullurl:Special:Contributions|target=Shwangtianyuan&namespace=6}} this link]</span>. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:di-replaceable fair use-notice -->

'''<span style="color: red;">This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history ↗ of each individual page for details.</span>''' Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

<p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics ''procedures'', you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic here ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template. </p>}}<!-- Derived from Template:Contentious topics/alert/first --> <span style="background-color:black;color:cyan;font-family:Comic Sans MS;">''Tarlby''</span> (''t'') (''c'' ↗) 17:34, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Yu Wenming ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

Thank you for the star! Out of my love for English, I have been engaged in English writing for fifteen years. In the beginning, I was not even aware of basic rules such as adding a space after punctuation in English, and to this day, my English proficiency remains only between elementary and intermediate levels. Over the years, I have devoted most of my spare time and energy to "getting the writing done", rather than consciously improving my ability to express myself in English—a direction completely contrary to my original intention of "enhancing my English". As a result, articles of the same or similar topics often ended up looking monotonous, with repetitive sentence structures as if they were produced from the same template. In today's world of rapidly advancing artificial intelligence, the volume of writing I accumulated over fifteen years could likely be completed by AI in just a week or two. Looking back on this journey, I was almost like a donkey walking in circles blindfolded, unaware that I was stuck in a loop on the path of language learning. Fifteen years passed in a blink, yet my English skills hardly progressed. From now on, I have decided to genuinely dedicate my spare time and energy to reading, note-taking, reflection, and communication, striving to improve my English in a down-to-earth manner.

}} Huangdan2060 (talk) 12:59, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
