Hi Svartner, and pinging in {{U|Chubbles}}. Thanks for the above merge closure today. I was completely unaware this was going on until I saw the merging template added to a page I watch. I've raised a question about how we do merges at Wikipedia:Village_pump_(policy)#New_merge_process_-_header_banners ↗. That's a general issue about how the new process may actually ''reduce'' merge discussion participation. I'd welcome thoughts there.{{pb}}However, on this specific case, if I had seen this, I would (a) have argued there is nothing mergeable here and we should just delete the page and (b) if we were going to merge, it is the wrong target. The correct target is Christ Embassy ↗. Could you revert the close and relist to allow me to !vote on this? As it is, we have a weak consensus (WP:SILENCE ↗) to merge to the wrong target. If it were an AfD it would be a soft deletion, but I don't think we have a soft merge option - so better if we could just relist and strengthen the consensus. Thanks. :: {{ping|Voorts}} The nomination was for deletion so there was no procedural requirement to tag. The problem came when a merge was proposed and acted upon for closure. This has, I think always been a problem but more so now deletion and merge are conjoined. I have just now raised the matter at WT:Deletion process#Deletion nominations being closed as "merge" ↗.
