'''Welcome!'''

Hello, {{PAGENAME}}, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! Please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (~&#126;~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions ↗, ask me on my talk page, or place <code>{&#123;helpme}}</code> on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!&nbsp;--Srleffler 00:20, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

I enjoyed your contribution at High Church Lutheranism ↗, and made some adjustments and additions. See what you think!--Srleffler 00:20, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi. Re: Evangelical-Catholic ↗, is there a reason why you are adding categories to a redirect page? Redirects normally don't need to be categorized. (In fact, until recently the software did not even ''allow'' redirects to be categorized.)--Srleffler 22:43, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Germany-related articles

Hi Terot,

I noticed you recently created a few Germany-related articles like Kirchliche Arbeit Alpirsbach ↗ and Heinrich Hansen ↗. I just wanted to inform you that you can announce any Germany-related articles you created at Portal:Germany/New articles ↗ and Portal:Germany/New article announcements ↗. Further, a WikiProject Germany is being started. If you're interested in contributing see User:Badbilltucker/WikiProject Germany and Wikipedia:WikiProject/List of proposed projects ↗. A CfD has been called against :Category:Based on Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia ↗ and most other "categories by source". (The categories are proposed for deletion, not the articles within them). New category

Many thanks for your hard work in creating :Category:Lutheran hymnwriters ↗. I'm afraid I've been a bit distracted lately by a new task force I've joined and haven't been putting my all in all into Lutheran category work. Thanks for pitching in! Fishal 21:10, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Spelling of Lutheran names

I was going through the Lutherans mentioned in the book I referenced, and included the names as they were spelled there. I noted myself that on occasions this small-press book's spelling was at times erratic, but couldn't be sure that he was necessarily wrong, so went ahead with what I saw. Sorry for any spelling errors which creeped in. (For what it's worth, I actually won a five-state area award for vocabulary back in high school. I do note that some words, like "prosletyze", are ones I consistently screw up on. As that word has come up a lot in a recent discussion I've had, I made a comment on my poor spelling on that basis. But, in general, I try to ensure that I spell correctly, if I can verify the correct spelling. Except maybe on my user page. There, I am less interested in being correct than accurate, and spelling errors are something which I know can occasionally come up from me. But thank you for catching those errors, and helping ensure that mistakes don't stay in any articles too long.)John Carter 15:08, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

:Johann Franck ↗

left|40px ↗
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of :Johann Franck ↗, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.ccel.org/s/schaff/encyc/encyc04/htm/ii.ix.xii.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:48, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

translation dispute

There is a discussion going on whether the name of that German church body can be translated or not (it appears like this on the english pages of this church's homepage). One user changed the name of this Church (actually a federation of several Lutheran, United and Reformed churches) and it's regional member churches to the German form because he says their names can't get translated. so the article on the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria now appears under its German name because he says the "concept" can't be translated into English. Please go to the discusson page of the Evangelical Church in Germany and have your say --93.130.249.56 ↗ (talk) 02:02, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Mörlin

Hi Terot, I like your new article on Mörlin. Will you nominate it for DYK? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:11, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
: Hi Gerda, thank you for your suggestion. I am not familiar with the procedure, would you care to do it for me? (Terot (talk) 19:16, 27 September 2010 (UTC))
::I looked and see a problem I had overlooked: articles for DYK have to be referenced by footnotes. If you want to do that, the procedure to nominate is simple: you pick a fact that looks interesting to the general public, word it in no more than 150 characters and reference it with a reliable source. Then you go to Main page and click "nominate an article" below the current "hooks" and take it from there, you may add a picture. It's just filling three fields in a template. Perhaps you want to write your next article with footnotes from the start rather than adding to this one? Template:Cite web ↗ is recommended. Good luck. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:14, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
:::Thanks! Is it only for new articles, or is it possible to nominate one of my old articles as well? (Terot (talk) 16:06, 28 September 2010 (UTC))
::::Yesterday I answered in length, but forgot to save, sorry. Now, with less time: it's for articles not older than 5 days or expanded 5-fold within that time frame. I recommend to look at the suggestion page (s.a.) and get familiar with the process, watching how suggestions are sometimes questioned, then approved ... interesting reading! Then I would go for the next article and reference it from the start. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:28, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

This won't affect you at all—it just means that when you create a new article, someone else will look at it to make sure it's all right. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 04:43, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
