:{{u|~2025-33754-36}}: Thanks, Simon, I'm glad to hear you liked the article. I saw different authors give it only a sentence or two, sometimes incorrectly dating the events to 1967. It seemed ripe for an article collecting all the extant info.
:Because of Wikipedia's guidelines around self-published sources ↗, I haven't been able to use your books directly as sources. That said, I have sometimes used them for background reference, primarily the day-by-day section. I'm a sucker for timelines – I think if you put events down into a neat timeline, you can often learn a lot.
:Timelines are also good for spotting contradictions in recollections. This example is a little in the weeds, but I think it may interest you. I was curious exactly when the band recorded "Summer in the City". The only source I've seen give a date is Sam Richards' 2021 article in ''UNCUT'', which pegs it to March 1966. One thing that caught my attention though is that, according to Steve Bonne's autobiography (p. 141), John incorporated a riff he heard Artie Schroeck playing during the recording of the ''What's Up, Tiger Lily'' soundtrack. But that album is dated to mid-April, immediately before the band left for their European tour. This timeline obviously doesn't work, and it makes me think "Summer in the City" was probably actually recorded in May or June 1966. What do you think?

New book about the Kinks

Hi there! I'm sure you already know about this but a new edition of the Kinks ↗ ''Day-by-Day'' book by Doug Hinhman and Andrew Sandoval ↗ was (or will be) published this month (mid-February). I knew Doug Hinman was still collecting information about the band and that he promised to correct some errors from the 2004 version of his book, but I was uncertain whether he would actually follow through on it.
:I'm a little shocked at the shipping price. The book is US$99 and the cheapest shipping option I can get to Canada is US$50. I wonder if it's comparable for Sweden.

::Shipping prices always seems to be the infuriating factor when it comes to these small publishers. Just checked and it's fractionally more expensive to import the book to Sweden.
