Non-breaking spaces
Hi @1969camaro12121966,
I noticed that you removed a ''non breaking space'' (WP:NBSP ↗) on Thiamazole ↗. These are added between values and measurements to avoid the text breaking over a line - which would separate, say, ''12'' and ''cm''. I know they're easy to overlook, since they appear in the Visual Editor simply as a gray bar - in fact, I removed a fair few in my time, until a more informed editor let me know. I reverted your edit, but please keep in mind the usefulness of this small formatting mark moving forward. Thank you! Giovanni Guasconti (talk) 01:46, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
:I am so sorry if these are markers signify that they are not to be removed. In my study of wikipedia through their editing tutorials, I thought they said the bars in spaces were placed by bots to remind editors that they should be removed. If I messed that up, please forgive me. Frankly, thank you for the clarification. I will have another look at the tutorials and determine where I got the wrong idea. I am definitely not well experienced at editing, and will take all the help I can get. I am an MD, and used to knowing what I am doing, which makes this even more confusing. Did you have a problem with any of the other edits I made to the article if you looked? Thank you in advance! 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 13:16, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
::No problem! Wikipedia is all about being bold ↗ and learning from our past mistakes. Then, once we know how to resolve a problem, we can share it with other editors. Thank you, and happy editing! Giovanni Guasconti (talk) 14:38, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Thanks again, but I have found that every time I am even a tiny bit bold, a very experienced editor is housing the page and immediately removes anything I changed. Often very opinionated and unwilling to discuss like you kindly are. I’ll keep trying. It is quite disconcerting to see very wrong information without sources or with dubious sources be defended by editors I cannot even discuss information with. I am learning the system, but still have no say if someone disagrees. Thanks again for your kindness! 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 15:05, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
::::That sounds frustrating, and it's unfortunately a fairly common pain - discussion can be hard to initiate with some editors, especially if they watch over a specific page. There's a few things you could try:
::::* 1) You could cite WP:MEDRS ↗ for sourcing specifically. Sometimes, citing a specific policy convinces editor to take action.
::::* 2) You could bring up the issue on WikiProject Medicine ↗ - you'll likely find some editors there who'll be open to fixing potential problems.
::::I wanted to say one thing though: ''Don't let yourself be discouraged.'' Wikipedia needs editors like you with experience on specific topics. I myself have no experience in that domain, but I can help with general editing and counter-vandalism. Everybody contributes in their own way!
::::Thank you. Giovanni Guasconti (talk) 00:14, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::The first kind editor I have found among the bullies. I really appreciate the help and encouragement. Ill get there, and hopefully wikipedia will too! Have a great evening. 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 01:11, 18 June 2026 (UTC)

Palatka, Florida ↗
Hello, I noticed you updated the population of Palatka, Florida ↗ to the result from a 2025 census, but I can't find the source supporting that, so I reverted it for now. Feel free to add it back with a reference to the census.

:Huh. I thought I gave a citation, no? 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 18:08, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
::All I can see in your edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Palatka,_Florida&diff=prev&oldid=1361108760 ↗ is that you changed the number and not much else. Please feel free to add it back in with a source!

sources
Hi. Please be more careful of the sources you are adding to articles.
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Economy_of_Oman&diff=prev&oldid=1361946818 ↗ - you add a link to a document on the filesharing site scribd, which is not great in the first place, but it is an obvious mirror of the wikipedia article
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Madeline_Kahn&diff=prev&oldid=1361619945 ↗ - this is less obviously a wikipedia mirror but it is, and if you scroll to the bottom you will see "Source: wikipedia.org".
We cannot use Wikipedia as a source for data because of the risk of developing WP:CIRCULAR ↗ references.
Additionally
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bradycardia&diff=prev&oldid=1361950463 ↗ - the link goes to a dead site for me, that doesn't appear to be in archive.org - does it load for you?
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rivian_R1T&diff=prev&oldid=1361929644 ↗ - here you have cited a thread in a forum! we would only do this very unusual circumstances which do not appear to be present here
Morwen (talk) 12:34, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
:I am very sorry. The article had a “need citation” comment box, and I searched for quite a long time to find a citation that included the information left in the article. The link does open for me. 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 14:08, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
::If you're not able to find a valid citation then it would be better to leave "citation needed" present, or, if you are satisified that the material is uncitable you could remove or replace it with something that is. Re the cedars-sinai link, interesting because for me it says "Gone
The requested resource is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address. Please remove all references to this resource." Morwen (talk) 16:07, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
:Understood. It was live and I thought it a good citation when I linked it. I understand your concerns and will heed advice. 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 16:52, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
Welcome and introduction to contentious topics
Hi 1969camaro12121966! I noticed your contributions ↗ and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
{{box|color=var(--background-color-option-green,#dff2eb)|align=left|CSS=padding:10px 20px;|I've noticed that you've expressed an interest in <strong>the Arab–Israeli conflict ↗</strong>. ::You left a typo in one sentence while trying to improve another. No big deal. Cheers. Materialscientist (talk) 16:26, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
:::The typo should have been removed. It was misplaced. My bad. I believe many pages on WP are filled with excess verbiage that adds nothing to the meaning and should be removed for readability sake. My second edit was done for this reason, and I think your revision makes the article less readable. Like you said, not a big deal, but why change it? Do the extra words add anything? 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 16:31, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
::::My bad. The tool that I used to check the edit showed me only the 1st sentence with typo (top part). Yes, verbiage should be avoided in an encyclopedia. Materialscientist (talk) 16:36, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::Thanks for reply. Kind of new at this, didn't want to push too hard on a person with 2M edits. Plus, with only an MD, I fear the real docs with PhDs who actually KNOW stuff. (Like my daughter). Have a great 4th. 1969camaro12121966 (talk) 16:42, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
Do not remove non-breaking spaces
Do not remove non-breaking spaces as you did at Bangladesh Air Force ↗. Wikipedia's Manual of Style stipulates that there should be a non-breaking space between a number and a unit symbol, i.e. 25 mm, never 25mm. See MOS:UNITNAMES ↗ and MOS:NBSP ↗ for more information.
You can undo it yourself, but for an extra challenge try to figure out from the guidelines what is wrong with the other unit measurement in the same sentence, and fix it too. One thing that can help, but is also complicated to master, is the {{tl|convert}} template. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:20, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
Proposed deletion ↗ of :Nathan Lean ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Nathan Lean ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Several signs of AI use, such as capital letters in headings and promotional wording.'''</blockquote>
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion based on established criteria ↗.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion ↗ of the article at any time.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> RossEvans19 (talk) 00:02, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
