Reminder: WP:FAITH

Hi, I'm The username filter bot is way too sensitive. I noticed that you provided a warning to a user after reverting vandalism(thanks!) but jumped immediately to their final warning. As per WP:FAITH β†—, users are generally supposed to assume that others are acting with good intentions. Next time, it might be better to start with the first warning(<nowiki>{{subst:Uw-vandalism1}}</nowiki>. Thank you! The username filter bot is way too sensitive (talk) 16:14, 24 April 2026 (UTC)

:I can see why you think I was harsh (and maybe I should have used the second-level warning instead), but how could changing the short description of a living person to "twat" possibly be in good faith? Chess enjoyer (talk) 16:17, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
::Also, {{re|The username filter bot is way too sensitive|p=,}} I see that you've been reverting vandalism, too (thank you!). You should consider enabling twinkle β†—. It makes reverting and leaving user warnings a lot easier. Chess enjoyer (talk) 16:22, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
::{{tpw}} Second-level would've been fine, probably (maybe can change now...?). The edit could've been a joke or nonserious, so first-level is fine, unless it's repeated behavior. That's the point of warnings, but you know that. I'd just say that final was WP:BITE β†—y. πŸ«€ <span style="color:maroon;">'''Crash // Organhaver'''</span> ( ''it / he'' &#124; ''<span style="color:darkred;">talk to me, maybe?</span>'' ) 16:47, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
:::You're right. I went overboard because it was a biography of a living person β†—, and we're supposed be more cautious around those. I tend to go straight to level two if there's no chance the edit was in good faith and it contained slurs or something, but using an only warning there was excessive. Chess enjoyer (talk) 16:57, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
::::Yeah, it probably was clearly not good faith. I definitely agree with level two-ish for this warning. Also, thanks for the recommendation of Twinkle. I'll see if I can install it soon. The username filter bot is way too sensitive (talk) 17:34, 24 April 2026 (UTC)

Your response about word count

I will gladly stop replying, but just noting that (I think) I am at just about 1000 words, or a little over, within that discussion. I'm assuming the extra 800 also encompasses the many other discussions on that page. πŸ” β†—&nbsp;Chicdat&nbsp;&nbsp;''Bawk to me!'' 18:40, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

:See my recent revert. I may have gotten confused. Chess enjoyer (talk) 18:41, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
::I was wrong. You've still got ~60 words, not counting the quotes and the text you struck. Sorry about that. Chess enjoyer (talk) 18:50, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

Thanks, Chess enjoyer!

Just wanted to say thank you for fixing my spelling mistakes on the userbox categories. Yikes. I don't even think "humourous" is the correct spelling in ''any'' dialect?? Yeah, uh, the redirect {{noredir|Humourous}} is an {{tl|R from misspelling}}. Another yikes.

:You're welcome. I thought it was a British-English spelling. I looked it up on Wiktionary β†—, and it turns out we're both right; it's a misspelling that only occurs over there. Chess enjoyer (talk) 20:28, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

Kim Ju Ae

back a couple hours ago i did a edit on your wikipedia about Kim Ju Ae and i was adding one of Kim Ju Ae’s latest appearances not putting in deceased people in it or anything just writing about that in march this year she was for sure driving a tank with kim jong un and top officials on top of it and just check the internet and news articles you may find this sorce of information Isaiahs role plays (talk) 06:08, 5 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi. Was {{diff||1357877842|label=this edit}} you logged out? I ''was'' able to find a source that covered most of the content and cite it in the article, but you should really be citing sources ''yourself'' instead of expecting others to do it for you. Otherwise, editors are likely to remove it as unsourced, like I did initially. Chess enjoyer β†— (talk) 06:41, 5 June 2026 (UTC)

Game Show Congress

Does it seem a little WP:POINT β†—y to you that Katzrockso deliberately reinstated unsourced information to justify their "keep" !vote in the RFD? <span style="color:green">'''Ten Pound Hammer'''</span> (<small>they/them</small>) β€’ (What did I screw up now?) 18:25, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

:Well, that guideline is about making edits you don't actually agree with to make a point, and I assume that Katzrockso genuinely thinks the information should be there. I don't think WP:POINT β†— applies. That being said:
:#{{ping|Katzrockso|p=}}, I would prefer that you add sources ''when'' you reinstate challenged material, not later, per WP:BURDEN β†—.
:#{{ping|TenPoundHammer|p=}}, I don't think {{diff||1358441602|label=this}} was a valid use of Rollback. It wasn't obvious vandalism, and none of the other uses of Rollback β†— seem to apply. Per point one, I think the edit was otherwise okay, it just needed an edit summary.
:Chess enjoyer β†— (talk) 18:52, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
::I was at work at the time, which is why I was unable to go search through the references I had previously uncovered when researching for the AfD nomination. No WP:BURDEN β†— challenge was stated, the material was initially removed for mentioning a "non notable org", which is an invalid reason for removal. WP:ARTN β†— and WP:NNC β†— make it clear that non-notable topics can certainly (and very often are) included ''within'' other articles, but they just don't warrant a standalone article. Katzrockso (talk) 20:27, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Notability aside, I don't think any content that has a {{t|cn}} tag should be restored without a reference to a reliable source, regardless of whether the edit summary had an explicit burden challenge. However, I knew all of that would become moot once you added those sources, and that's why I didn't revert you myself. Chess enjoyer β†— (talk) 20:51, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
::::{{ping|Katzrockso}} my apologies for assuming bad faith. I still think the history of the article (again: A7'd, restored, AFD'd, deleted, upheld at DRV, then re-created by me anyway to mitigate off-site harassment) is enough that the redirect should not stand, per both WP:UNDUE β†— (other game show personnel were also at Game Show Congress; why this one in particular?) and WP:NOPAGE β†— (given the contentious history of the page). <span style="color:green">'''Ten Pound Hammer'''</span> (<small>they/them</small>) β€’ (What did I screw up now?) 13:05, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::WP:REDIRECTPURPOSE β†— states {{tq|Subtopics or other topics that are described or listed within a wider article. (Such redirects are often targeted to a particular section of the article.)}}. A7, AfD deletion and a DRV are not under the list of reasons to delete a redirect.
:::::But this is not RfD, so I'm not sure why we are discussing the merits of the redirect. Katzrockso (talk) 23:37, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
