'''Welcome!'''

Hello, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages ↗, add a question to the village pump ↗ or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Felix Werder ↗

A nice little article. I have a question about it, though: is FW dead yet? the article reads as though he is, but I can't see any mention of his death over the internet. If he IS dead, could you add the date? and if not, the article needs a little re-casting. Best, Staffelde 01:26, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Prototypes

A tag has been placed on :Prototypes (band) ↗, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company or website, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable ↗. If you can indicate why Prototypes (band) is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Prototypes (band) ↗. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion ↗, particularly item 7 under Articles ↗. You might also want to read our general biography criteria ↗. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template <code>{{tl|hangon}}</code> to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations ↗ from reliable sources ↗ to ensure that your article will be verifiable ↗.<!-- Template:Nn-warn --> cholmes75 ↗ (chit chat) 20:00, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Mediation

I just wanted to let you know that I have taken up the mediation of the Nicole Scherzinger ↗ on its talk page. Wikipediatoperfection (talk) 20:49, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

About "Top of the World"

Yes, I've checked the Billboard page but that doesn't make it a single at all. Afterall, promo single "Right Now" is listed as well and we both know that both "Top of the world" and that song were promo singles added to iTunes as PROMOTION for a project and not a main single for the Pussycat Dolls.

Cazxiro (talk) 20:27, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

I understand, but if that's the case why is "Right Now" still under promotional singles? And another thing I do believe "Out Of This Club" is missing from Promotional singles. To be honest, the Pussycat Dolls would not even call "Top of The World" an official single so why bother including it? They were both there not to promote PCD but to promote the NBA & MTV's The City respectively. Cazxiro (talk) 23:41, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Boston Arts Academy ↗

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for trying to help by including Boston Arts Academy ↗ in :Category:Massachusetts school stubs ↗. Please note, however, that we don't use stub categories directly. In stead, please follow the instructions on the stub category page - in this case, for example, you should have used {{tl|Massachusetts-school-stub}}. Kaya Jones

Her Name is Nicole

For a while now i've been working on a version of the article to get permission from administrators for the album. I do personally believe that as an unreleased album there is now enough information of a credible nature. However before doing so i am seeking experienced editors opinions. If the page shouldn't be reopened can i intergrate the information into Nicole Scherzinger ↗?

Here is the final draft for what i am proposing. (Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:16, 22 September 2009 (UTC))

pussycat dolls

Hello, Regarding your recenet edits to Pussycat Dolls ↗: Kaya Jones was in the recording group and her vocals appear on at least 2 tracks on ''PCD'', so under your criteria she qualifies as an ex-member. Secondly I think you should discuss at the talk page your recent revert of the opening para. I think the franchise description is accurate and we should avoid stating or inplying that th recording group is the only entity. I agree that it is currently the primary entity.--Design (talk) 09:54, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
: I strongly disagree. The Pussycat Dolls are a music group. That's what they are. The intro doesn't say that they are the only entity. In pop culture, they are a music group. Every artist is a brand. The Spice Girls was a brand; Beyonce is a brand. Yet, their opening paragraphs don't say "Beyonce is an American brand etc..." <span style="color:navy;font-family:Garamond;">'''O'''ran</span><span style="color:green;font-family:Garamond;">'''''e'''''</span> <span style="font-family:Garamond;">(talk)</span> 17:11, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Paul Kelly

Hi, was just having a look at your recent edits to Paul Kelly ↗, whilst you maybe correct in Mary-Jo Kelly plays in Latin Bands the reference that you cite does not establish that the Mary-Jo Kelly who plays in Latin Bands is in fact Paul's sister. Similarly whether Lazare Agneskis is actually Paul's nephew. As the article is currently at GA ↗ status any comments contained in your edits need to be verifable ↗. MySpace ↗ unfortunately isn't considered to be a reputable source of information, any claim should be based upon reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process ↗. You are being notified as you have made a number of contributions to the article. Donald Friend

Hi. Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, I've been offline since I made that edit (and am trying to limit my Wiki time - it's obsessive but ultimately pointless, given that nothing anyone writes has any real hope of lasting, let alone of being correct). Anyway, the material on Donald Friend ↗: my point is that there is no controversy, and that Kerry Negara's docu isn't significant enough to note. I'd be happy for you to put this to arbitration by an outside moderator. Cheers. (By the way, Ian Britain is currently writing a biography of Friend - this should provide a good source when it comes out). PiCo (talk) 00:44, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Copyrighted information blanked at Tony Gould ↗

Just FYI, I've {{diff2|363940224|blanked}} the Biography section as being a copyvio of Gould's own bio page ↗. Without that information, the article probably won't survive a deletion nomination. I've not proposed it for deletion, however, just letting you know in case you want to work on it before someone else does. Scarlet Fever (band)

Thank you for finding the Jin Joo Lee name! I'd been looking for it for a month! (But your reference text doesn't actually have her name, is it in the video? Sadly, won't show in my area.)

Thanks for the Taratata reference. I'd included it on the German version (as well as a German broadcast). There are 2 other major French TV performances, although only on satellite. I was thinking those were less important here, although that's my American bias. Should all the major European links be included on this page?<br />--William Allen Simpson (talk) 13:55, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

:Hi William, thanks for the note on my talk page about Scarlet Fever (band) ↗, proper refs can be difficult. I have been looking for refs for Jin Joo Lee. Her name is not on the video link I posted, so I guess it doesn't meet the standard. I'm hoping somone else can find a better ref. I put the Taratata TV appearance in partly because it's the earliest performance I've come accross of "Fuck You!", maybe you know of earlier? I agree only major performances should go in the article. If you think the french and german are major then please add them.

:I'm still looking for the name of the backing viocalist who appeared during the Chloe Pappas line-up. Sometime from August 2010 the line-up changed from 6 piece to 4 piece with the departure of Chloe & backing vocaliast and the arrival of Theresa Flaminio.--Design (talk) 01:21, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

::(Discussing here) Then, I'll drop that reference, and point to the Taratata video as a visual reference. I've sent an email asking for the names of vocalists. Sometimes, they're separate from the "band", and travel in a different vehicle. The size has varied, was 6 for the Summer ''What part of forever'', 5 for the Fall European ''Lady Killers'' promotional tour (with both Flaminio and Lee), and now only 4 for the current concert tour. Who knows what lurks in the mind of tour organizers? I'm guessing the band didn't have much say on the early gigs, but is more cohesive now.<br />--William Allen Simpson (talk) 15:00, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Deidre Willmott

Looks okay to me. From their contributions I doubt that User:CJMorsey is a totally impartial contributor, but there was some negative uncited material in those articles that had to go, so we can thank them for bringing it to our attention at least. In this case, the refs quite clearly underline that she was a controversial figure during her time working for Barnett, so I don't see any problems. Lankiveil (speak to me) 11:04, 12 April 2011 (UTC).
: Hey dude, just wanted to say LOL regarding this edit by you ↗. You really have a thing against Twiggy don't you lol? Well oh well, I agree with you, the source does say explicitly - not only FMG was found to be misleading and deceptive ↗ but also Twiggy. So how about the Aboriginal stuff, did you want to compound on that on Twiggy's article, as it's been done on the Fortescue Metals Group ↗ page? What was actually the history of the page, what have FMG tried to censor, and what actually happened in the "edit war"? Because whatever it is I can't find it on Talk:Fortescue Metals Group ↗. Thanks for having my back r.e. that cite; I actually looked at that, ''actually read the reference'', I noted the headline spelling... and then I apparently ''changed it anyway''.<br />

Johann Georg Stauffer ↗

Thanks for starting the Johann Georg Stauffer ↗ article. I have placed an "under construction" template at the head of the article to explain its current condition. I hope you will continue working on converting the machine-translated text into coherent English. I will pitch in as well, as time permits. — ℜob C. ''alias'' <small>'''&Agrave;LAROB'''</small> ↗ 17:32, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

In future, please do not paste text from Google Translate into Wikipedia — especially in the main article space. Not only does the machine translator generate incoherent text full of foreign words; it also contains lots of HTML tags that are useless in Wikipedia and only interfere with editing. As noted on the article talk page, I have moved the machine text to User:Alarob/Stauffer. I had to strip out the HTML tags, which also removed the <nowiki><ref></nowiki> tags. They will have to be recreated.

I'll continue the discussion on the article talk page, as I probably should have done all along. :-) — ℜob C. ''alias'' <small>'''&Agrave;LAROB'''</small> ↗ 17:56, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

Headstock - how to expand it?

Hello, and a note of thanks for the Stauffer article - excellent addition! I agree with your point entirely about the use of modern guitar headstocks (what happened to the banjo, mandolin, etc..?) When and where did the term originate is a question for me, at a guess I would say it was the USA but... In Spain it's just plain ''cabeza'', Portuguese ''cabeça'', head. I guess the 'stock' bit could be an alternative for 'wood'. But I'm not aware of any equivalent Spanish ''cabeza de palo'' being used. Maybe German or Dutch luthiers introduced it.
