You were correct in the idea to remove needless extras, but seeing as the vast majority of media coverage of her speech was criticism (even CNN were unusually critical <ref>https://edition.cnn.com/2018/04/29/politics/michelle-wolf-whcd-takeaways/index.html</ref>) and seeing that this was indeed the first such event to include such profanities these points are significant enough to be mentioned.
Branding all the reviews as just 'criticism & praise' is a gross misrepresentation of the true response.

Thank you - because it's a very fresh news story, let's see how things progress, how the fire dies down, and then see if it needs to be updated. - DFLovett

Deletion discussion about The 20 MSP ↗

Hello Dflovett, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, The 20 MSP ↗, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The 20 MSP ↗.

Deletion discussions ↗ usually run for seven days and are ''not'' votes. Our guide ↗ about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability ↗, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with <code><nowiki>{{Re|</nowiki>Wasianpower<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code>. And don't forget to sign your reply with <code><nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></code> . Thanks!

Preceptis Medical ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Preceptis Medical ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because '''it needs more sources to establish notability'''.
I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Charlie (talk) 14:32, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

Thank you Charlie. What are your thoughts on overall notability based on what you saw so far? There are quite a few more sources about Hummingbird tubes that I can add in, but if it seems like a losing battle and I should just give this time or sit on it, I can/will do that. Dflovett (talk) 14:53, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

:Don't give up! Try adding citations that include some coverage of the company. Check out this page Wikipedia:Citing sources ↗ and Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) ↗. Charlie (talk) 16:28, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

I mentioned you at ANI

The report is about Derosse, not you, but I'm linking you here because I indirectly mentioned you at WP:ANI#Derosse, conflict of interest editing, and personal attacks ↗. Comment if you like, but I imagine you won't need to. MrOllie (talk) 15:12, 23 August 2025 (UTC)

Do you deserve your own Wikipedia page?

I came across your Substack article ↗ and enjoyed it; I thought it was a great primer on notability. It reminded me of the time I really wanted to write a Wikipedia article about a 1980s video game ↗ I had loved, but there just weren't enough reliable sources... until someone at ''Time'' wrote a piece about the game that expressed surprise that it didn't have a Wikipedia article. That proved to be the tipping point. Perhaps the same thing will happen to ''Top 10 Games You Can Play in Your Head, By Yourself.'' Cheers, 28bytes (talk) 15:26, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

:@28bytes it would be pretty fun if that happened to the <nowiki>''</nowiki>Games You Can Play in Your Head, By Yourself<nowiki>''</nowiki> series but I won't hold my breath. I also won't be the one to create said article. It'll be neat if it happens though! Dflovett (talk) 22:10, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Reverting

Just for future reference, if you need to revert an edit that's ''multiple'' edits back in the edit history, it isn't necessary to manually revert every individual edit that's taken place since then — just go to the version of the page you want to restore, click on its date and time link, and then edit and save that version. It both saves you time and avoids notifying me of a reversion on my unrelated edit that wasn't a revertable error on my part, so it's better for everybody if you do it that way instead of performing multiple reverts just to get back to an old version. Bearcat (talk) 17:43, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

Optum page edits

Hello, Dflovett! My name is Barbara and I work for UnitedHealth Group ↗. I'm here on Wikipedia to submit edit requests and suggest improvements to articles related to the company and its subsidiaries. One of our subsidiaries is Optum and I want to thank you for improving the readability of the Optum article by adding bullets to some of the content. I was wondering if you might also be willing to review an edit request I submitted on February 19 on the Talk:Optum ↗ page. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks Barbara at UHG (talk) 19:16, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

:User:Dflovett, thanks much! Really appreciate the quick response. Barbara at UHG (talk) 23:01, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
::No problem. Let me know if there is anything else. No promises but if it's something that's small and reasonable and well-sourced (or correcting something that isn't sourced) I'm happy to make the edit. Dflovett (talk) 15:23, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

:User:Dflovett, Thank you! I will take you up on your offer. And again, I appreciate your continued efforts to improve the Optum article.

Would you be willing to update the '''Revenue''' listed in the Optum ↗ infobox with 2025 data? If so, here's the new number:

The information to support this update is on page 29 of the UnitedHealth Group 2025 10-K ↗.

Thanks for your help! Barbara at UHG (talk) 18:40, 24 April 2026 (UTC)

Question about acceptable sources

Hello again, Dflovett!

Question for you: Are '''online forums''' on sites like Glassdoor.com ↗ and Indeed.com ↗ considered reliable, independent sources by Wikipedia?

I’m asking because in the Controversies ↗ section of the Optum ↗ article, an editor added information about '''Worker outsourcing and layoffs''' and cites those online forums as sources to support some of the content. In the forums, former Optum employees share stories and opinions about Optum.

'''Request:''' Will you please give me your thoughts on whether online forums like those mentioned above are acceptable sources to support Wikipedia content? I would like to ensure the entire Optum entry on worker outsourcing and layoffs cites reputable sources with verifiably true information. I would be happy to recommend edits if that would be helpful.

Thanks once again for your help. Barbara at UHG (talk) 18:05, 19 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @Barbara at UHG - Interesting question.
:No, from my POV, Glassdoor and Indeed are generally not considered reliable sources for Wikipedia. While they aren't listed as being explicitly prohibited on this page (Wikipedia:Reliable sources#Questionable and self-published sources ↗), I think both should be considered examples of user-generated content, similar to Reddit or Facebook. I'll take a deeper look at the Optum article in the meantime but let me know if you have more thoughts. - David Dflovett (talk) 18:32, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
::Hi, Dflovett. Thank you for flagging the sourcing issues in the Optum ↗ article, Controversies ↗ section, '''Worker outsourcing and layoffs''' entry. I am unaware of any reputable sources to replace the Glassdoor and Indeed citations. I will keep an eye on the article to see if any editors find relevant replacement support for the text, as well as for the unsourced text in the second paragraph of that section. If no credible citations are provided, I will send you a draft with proposed edits to the text for your consideration.

::As always, alternative suggestions for fixing this entry are welcome.
