National varieties of English
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. In a recent edit to the page :King George V School, Hong Kong ↗, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English ↗ in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English ↗. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English ↗. For something related to another English-speaking country ↗, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the ''original'' author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style ↗. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk ↗. ''Please use Hong Kong English spelling for Hong Kong articles.'' <!-- Template:uw-lang --> '''Citobun''' (talk ↗) 04:46, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Whitespace in wikitext
Re LNER Thompson/Peppercorn Class K1 ↗ and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=LNER_Thompson/Peppercorn_Class_K1&curid=6490017&diff=1240624484&oldid=1172336092 ↗ (and others)
This sort of whitespace reformatting is pointless and just clogs up the article change log, making it hard to see real changes. It has no effect (none at all) in the resulting article. Most editors see this as a complete waste of time, not worth doing, questionable as to whether 'your' version is 'better' or 'worse' than the previous one, and really not a good idea to be doing. Keys of symphonies
Keys of symphonies are not part of their names, but belong in the parameter "key". I reverted a few of those cases that I noticed, but see that you changed more. Please revert yourself. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:52, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Other points:
- no need to change W. A. Mozart to some "full name" that the person never used
- no need to change a movement number from 4 to "four", because countable things are better in numbers, at least in the infobox. Please self-revert. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:25, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Can you please indicate that you understood the key thing? I saw you changing (back) to numeral number of movements and W. A. Mozart, and thank you for that. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:32, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Reverting those changes would be more helpful than creating redirects nobody needs such as Schumann 1 and German dictator. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:35, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello!
Thank you for all of your edits recently. I need to request something though: please slow down. You are violating some rules and policies that you should review:
- All edits that introduce new content '''need''' a reliable source. Even small things, like this ↗. Otherwise, anyone could add any runtime they wanted, that's why we source things.
- Any content you add to the lead or infobox needs a citation (as above), but is also '''needs to be in the main text'''. The lead and infobox are intended to be concise summaries for the rest of the article, this doesn't work if we start backwards.
- For year ranges, we use en dash – not hyphens -. I.e. 1900–2000, not 1900-2000.
- Please use edit summaries, especially if you are going to be making so many edits so quickly.
Most importantly: please communicate, and in fact '''communication is required ↗'''. There are a number of editor inquires on this talk page, but you have not responded to any of them. It would give the community reassurance if you could at least acknowledge that you've read and understand this post. Let me know if you have any questions. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm UtherSRG. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, :Ivory-billed woodpecker ↗, but you didn't provide a reliable source ↗. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable ↗. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation ↗, your edit is archived in the page history ↗. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-unsourced1 --> UtherSRG (talk) ↗ 20:43, 21 May 2026 (UTC)

Edit summaries again
Back in January you were asked by Jonesey95 to please use edit summaries as a courtesy to other editors. A few weeks ago Aza24 asked the same thing. For the most part you seem to have ignored these requests (80% of your edits this month have no summaries) . So I am asking you again: please use edit summaries so that other editors can more easily see what kinds of changes you are making to pages on their watchlists. The rest of the advice that Aza24 gave you is also worth heeding, especially the point that communication with other editors is required, not optional. Thanks. CS1 error on Copper ↗
25px|alt=|link= ↗ Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have '''automatically detected''' that this edit ↗ performed by you, on the page :Copper ↗, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A generic title ↗ error. References show this error when they have a generic placeholder title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title to the reference. Double-spacing is not a typo
It's irrelevant and even usually ignored by all parsers, so all you're doing is clogging our watchlists when you make an edit consisting solely of that type of change. Please stop. DMacks (talk) 20:45, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. In a recent edit to the page :Schubert's last sonatas ↗, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English ↗ in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English ↗. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English ↗. For something related to another English-speaking country ↗, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the ''first'' author of the article used.
Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-engvar --> Graham87 (talk) 14:36, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
