25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style ↗ that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in :Viki (singer) ↗, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page ↗ to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Disambiguation link notification for February 18

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Stark Raving Black ↗, a link pointing to the disambiguation page English ↗ was added. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 20:13, 18 February 2026 (UTC)

Overlinking

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to :Thomas Peel ↗, you added links ↗ to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links ↗ to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Graham87 (talk) 03:51, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
:In particular, we don't link to commonly known words or major geographical features like London or England. Graham87 (talk) 03:51, 19 February 2026 (UTC)p

25px|alt=Warning icon ↗ Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, you may be blocked from editing ↗. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style ↗, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Graham87 (talk) 10:02, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

Despite the message above, you've added a link to South Africa to [[Ivor Phillips (cricketer) ↗. Having reviewed all your edits, I believe that your best editing path is adding short descriptions; please do that rather than adding links. Graham87 (talk) 10:02, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for removing the United States link at Christ Evangelical Church ↗. Graham87 (talk) 11:05, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

:No problem! I have already learned from my previous mistakes. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 11:06, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
::In some ways, yes ... but at Spokane Public Library - East Side Branch ↗, you add a link to "library", a common word. See my recent edit summaries ↗ regarding your other edits. Honestly, please slow down ... you're editing way too fast for a new user. You'd be better off editing articles about topics that that bring you joy, rather than your current approach of finding and editing articles about a staggeringly large array of topics. How are you finding these pages and why are you making so many edits? Graham87 (talk) 11:21, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
:::I just click "Random article" and find a part or parts for editing. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 11:22, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
::::I thought as much. I'd rather that you don't do that. Many articles are unwatched or barely watched here and it's difficult to review your changes, especially at the rapid rate you've been making them. Random page patrol ↗ is more suitable for much more experienced users. Graham87 (talk) 11:28, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
:::::I'll try to keep that in mind, though the rate of edits being made is already declining since your notices and rules reduce what parts I can and cannot edit. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 11:32, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
::::::Basically I can't edit as much anymore. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 11:32, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
:::::::Thanks again for removing links to countries. See my edit summaries on your recent edits: more standard to leave the country out of the link ↗, as I said before, whether to link states/provinces should be up to the original authors, not drive-by editing ↗, and rv link to country ↗. Perhaps you'd like the typo team ↗. Graham87 (talk) 12:12, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
::::::::That's not a bad idea. Since it's the easiest mistake to fix, I'll look deeper into the team. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 12:13, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::I like your grammar fixes (and suggest that you concentrate more on those rather than trying to do linking ... also see the page on basic copyediting ↗), and some of your link additions/fixes are good, like this one ↗, but you're still linking major geographical features like Paris, Los Angeles, London, etc., which isn't looked upon well here. Also, re your edits to Zurich Seebach railway station ↗, "the Swiss city of Zurich" is British/Commonwealth English wording whereas wording like "Zurich, Switzerland" tends to be more associated with the US. We prefer to retain an articles English variety ↗ where possible, so that sort of thing shouldn't be changed. Also see my edit summary ↗ at the 2021 NRL finals series ↗, where I explain why the extra links there are so unnecessary. These two examples are why it's often better to write or copyedit about something you know. Graham87 (talk) 14:52, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::@Graham87 Yes, thanks for the compliment. I just decided to edit the article since it was the same studio that created the first versions of the Octonauts, one of my favorite childhood shows. Also, it was an orphan article, so it needed those links at some point. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 17:49, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::::Awwww cool. However, an article being orphaned refers to the links from other articles that go to it, not the links on the articles themselves. (i.e. if article A has no links going to it, it'd be an orphan, even if it had links on the actual article). Similarly, your previous addition of expand templates was incorrect because that is for when an article in another language exists *and* has more information about it than the English Wikipedia article ... these sorts of templates should only be added by people fluent in the language of the other article. Graham87 (talk) 01:26, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::::@Graham87 I apologize if I used the term incorrectly or I caused some confusion. What I meant to say was that the article didn't have any links going to other articles. I think the term you are trying to find is a "dead-end" article. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 03:40, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::::@Graham87 I am aware of that, and I have already reverted those expand templates. As of now, they have been cleared of. Jeremy1231233 (talk) 03:42, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
