It is clearly a quote, but from where? There are other examples.

For notability, I can see that is tricky because the club is a relatively new "expansion" side rather than one with a long history. New source 1 from the Manila Bulletin helps, but WP:NTEAMS ↗ effectively equals WP:GNG ↗ for the club (rather than games) so we need at least one more similar source. The MB story looks to me to be a reworded wire story, so another newspaper probably has their own version of this?

That expansion may be another/second way forward on that one, rather than putting lots of references to individual games/signings. There is source for this expansion but it's just a few words - but presumably other sources can be found for this set-up stage? Hello! There are reports of Marilao getting an MPBL team over on social media. Since "MAR" is already used for the Marikina Shoemasters, we may have to find a new abbreviation for the reported Marilao MPBL team.
