:Hello John, thank you very much for your article. I accepted it because it ticks all the basic boxes, but there is still work to do in terms of formatting. Take a look at the Simplified Manual of Style ↗, and rules for when bold, italics and ALL CAPS should be used ↗, for your article contains much of this which should really be taken out. Also
I will add that in the future you should just start your articles in "mainspace" without going through the Articles for Creation bureaucracy. You've got the hang of it. Just make sure that any topic you touch has at least 3 good independently published sources dealing substantially with the topic and of presumed reliability in the footnotes and life will be golden. It would also be a strategically good thing for you to start a "User Page" as soon as possible, as people without user pages draw extra scrutiny from the New Page Patrol people, and that's not where you wanna draw extra scrutiny. Just click the View User Page redlink below and start typing. Thanks again for your efforts. —Tim /// Carrite (talk) 13:50, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from :Charles Morgan Jr. ↗ into :Captain Howard Levy ↗. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing ↗ does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary ↗ at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking ↗ to the copied page, e.g., <code>copied content from <nowiki>page name ↗</nowiki>; see that page's history for attribution</code>. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:TheNewLegionsBookCover.jpg
64px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Thank you for uploading ''':File:TheNewLegionsBookCover.jpg ↗'''. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline ↗ is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag ↗; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-disputed fair use rationale-notice -->

Voice of the Lumpen
Just had a short look at your marvelous work on GI newspapers. Just as an aside: the Frankfurt Solidariätskommitee (see esp Maria Höhn's very detailed essays), founded by K D Wolff, the last head of German SDS, if I remember correctly, and later Maoist and head of the Frankfurt a. M. Verlag Roter Stern. Various members of the Panthers Solidarity Commitee and the Roter Stern publishers went on to co?-found the Revolutionäre Zellen terrorist group (in some sense at least as important as the Baader/Meinhof RAF) and later on became very important members of Carlos's group - some died "in action". --2001:9E8:5661:1100:D948:27AC:D006:4EB4 ↗ (talk) 12:50, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Correction to previous election announcement
Just a quick correction to the prior message about the 2022 MILHIST coordinator election! I ({{noping|Hog Farm}}) didn't proofread the message well enough and left out a link to the election page itself in this message. The voting will occur '''here ↗'''; sorry about the need for a second message and the inadvertent omission from the prior one. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 17:41, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Willbb234. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view ↗. Replaceable non-free use File:Servicemen anti-Vietnam War ad NY Times 9Nov1969.jpg
32px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':File:Servicemen anti-Vietnam War ad NY Times 9Nov1969.jpg ↗'''. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use ↗. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion ↗. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have ''no free equivalent''; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
# Go to the file description page ↗ and add the text {{Tlx|Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} '''below''' the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <code><your reason></code> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
# On the file discussion page ↗, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license ↗, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on <span class="plainlinks">[{{fullurl:Special:Contributions|target=JohnKent&namespace=6}} this link]</span>. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:di-replaceable non-free use-notice --> -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:22, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
Myth of the Spat Upon Vietnam Vet
I hate to badger you on your talk page....but you need to weigh in on the talk page of the Myth of the spat upon Vet as to what that article will ultimately be about. If it is about spitting alone, then a lot of things need to come out. Considering the fact you are working on a similar article in your Sandbox, it may be a case where stuff gets shifted around when that is done. But whatever is the case, as the article creator, we need your input. Thanks. Rja13ww33 (talk) 20:45, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

Not to be a jerk and call you out so publicly, but you should refrain from referring to yourself as a "U.S. Navy fighter pilot" because that's a title you never earned you never even finished flight training. You might want to drop the whole "Vietnam Veteran" thing too as you only spent a few months as mid afloat in the Gulf of Tonkin. ~2026-17574-51 ↗ (talk) 19:00, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
