25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, :Outright Games ↗, but you didn't provide a reliable source ↗. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation ↗ and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners ↗. {{tl|Non-free use rationale logo}} required when placing images on Marianne ↗

Hi Josh0108 (alt)! Use of non-free images requires a {{tl|Non-free use rationale logo}} template on the file page for each article that the image is used on. Please put this in place on :File:2024 Summer Olympics logo.svg ↗ & :File:2024 Summer Paralympics logo.svg ↗, then you can undo my reversion on Marianne ↗. Peaceray (talk) 17:01, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

:Those files already have those templates. Josh0108 (alt) (talk) 17:40, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
::For the 2024 Summer Olympics ↗ article, but not for Marianne ↗. A separate template is required for each article. As Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline ↗ states, {{tq|2. A detailed '''non-free use rationale'''. A separate, specific rationale must be provided each time the media file is used in an article. The name of the article the media file is used in must be included in the rationale.}} Peaceray (talk) 18:19, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion

link=|alt=Control copyright icon|30x30px ↗ Your additions in this edit here ↗, have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted ↗ content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain ↗ or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible ↗ copyright license. To see the possible source of the copyrighted text, look in the edit summary which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. There should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright ↗ and plagiarism ↗ issues. Here are the key points:

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked ↗ from editing.

<nowiki>I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Legoland Sichuan ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Billund ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that your recent edit to :2025 Women's Rugby World Cup ↗ did not have an edit summary ↗. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary ↗, or by discussion on the Talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief ↗.

The edit summary field looks like this:
{{Edit summary field/OOUI}}

'''Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make.''' When logged in to your Wikipedia account ↗, you can give yourself a reminder by setting {{myprefs|3|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}, and then click the "{{int:saveprefs}}" button.

Thanks for the comment on the sockpuppet investigation page. It certainly looks like the same user. The admins would require another full SPI report, rather than just a reply to something that's already been adjudicated, so I think I'll keep an eye on it to see whether the new user keeps at it. My gut tells me the admins won't want to bother with a user who has only two edits. 1995hoo (talk) 13:19, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
