98th Academy Awards

Hi there, thanks for helping edit 98th Academy Awards ↗. I have a queston about the name in awards, it seems that some titles are different with past edition, which titles we should use? Thanks. Stevencocoboy (talk) 03:53, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

:You're welcome! I was planning on a gargantuan edit beforehand, but you got a head start. Which categories are you referring to exactly? Movie Lover 111 (talk) 03:53, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
::I think your title is correctly, but I don't know why many titles was changed, like director, actor, actress, supporting actor, actress, etc. I don't know who changed it. If you have free time can you change back before? Thanks. Stevencocoboy (talk) 03:53, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
:::They all seem correct to me. Not an issue I believe. Movie Lover 111 (talk) 04:04, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
::::But the title should be unified will more better. Stevencocoboy (talk) 04:04, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::Oh, I see what you mean now. I just fixed it. Movie Lover 111 (talk) 04:04, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::I believe that official names will more better. Thanks. Stevencocoboy (talk) 04:04, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

January 2026

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to :Actor Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie ↗, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines ↗ in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name does not follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus ↗ needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test ↗ Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page ↗ to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.—MPGuy2824 (talk) 10:01, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

:Please see WP:PCM ↗ for how to get these pages moved and feel free to create redirects from the new names (Actor award for blah) to the old names (Screen actors guild award for blah) in the meantime. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 10:10, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
::Understood. I'm sorry; it won't happen again. I just thought that since all of the film categories were moved, it would be wise to move all of the television categories as well. Movie Lover 111 (talk) 13:13, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
:::Not a big deal. Do create the redirects though. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 13:23, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
::::Gotcha. Thanks! Movie Lover 111 (talk) 13:33, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Hi! Thank you for you contributions so far, I've seen many of your edits on my watchlist and they seem productive. I wanted to reach out to ask you to make sure to use WP:Edit summaries ↗, it helps other editors understand your edits and the intention behind them more easily. Thank you again for your contributions! 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 17:37, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

:Thank you for your compliments and praise regarding my "productive" contributions; I appreciate it. As for your reasoning for reaching out to me, I'll take your concern in consideration. A majority of my edits are self-explanatory, so I honestly didn't think WP:Edit summaries ↗ were necessary, though I have summarized several of my edits, but I will try to do better moving forward (especially for large, gargantuan edits). Thanks again and please reach out to me again for any further suggestions. Happy editing! Movie Lover 111 (talk) 01:11, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

''Avatar''

Hey there! Thanks for all the attention you've been giving to the ''Avatar: Fire and Ash ↗'' page.

I have one tiny little baby request. When you make edits that are merely updates or fixes to citations, could you please leave a quick edit summary such as "Ref fix" or "ref update"? If someone makes a bunch of edits in a row, I will often review them, but if they're just reference edits I usually don't feel the need to review. It will save time for others if they can glance at the revision history and see that your series of edits are just ref fixes, and don't need to be reviewed. And if they are really minor ref edits, you can mark them as minor edits with no summary, which will also allow others to save time by not reviewing them.

Thanks, and have a great day! OrdinaryOtter (talk) 05:35, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Images

Hey there! Just a brief note to respond to your query about the order of the Weaver and Lang images. I'm not sure it's important to order the two images within the image box based on their appearance in the credits. However, since Weaver is facing just slightly inward (left), in my personal opinion it looks better to have her on the right, so she is looking towards both Lang and the text. If she's on the left, she's looking away from Lang. Not a big deal, but all things being equal, I think it looks better if the actors face each other than face away from each other. OrdinaryOtter (talk) 17:49, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

::Also, just an update on our meddling ghoul ↗. I have sent them a warning, and if they continue to vandalize, I will report them ↗ here. ::::Any sign of the ghoul? He's been absent for a few days from all the Avatar pages I'm currently working on. Feels great. OrdinaryOtter (talk) 04:24, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

''The Boys'' season 5

Can you explain why you change the titles of the references as you see fit? Because this isn't the first time you've done it. Marco camino 10 (talk) 03:30, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

:I change them per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters ↗, but I will stop if you want me to. Movie Lover 111 (talk) 03:33, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
::Don't worry and great job helping generally on the article Marco camino 10 (talk) 16:16, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

''The Boys'' season 5 cast

Could you explain why you've suddenly added several actors to the "Recurring" column without any justification? They've all always been credited as "guests," and for consistency with other seasons, they can't be moved to the "Recurring" column until they've appeared in at least three episodes. So I don't understand this unilateral and unexplained decision. Marco camino 10 (talk) 16:16, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

:Sorry, I thought if you were in two episodes then you qualify as "Recurring"; I didn't realize it was three. I only wound up performing that action following your edit summary ↗ regarding Ely Henry ↗. Now I know. Thanks! Movie Lover 111 (talk) 16:36, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
::No problem. For future occasions, normally in a series of 6–10 episodes, as is usually done now, there must be 3 appearances in different episodes to be able to list them as "Recurring", and in some cases agreed upon beforehand with 4 Marco camino 10 (talk) 17:17, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

Information in ''The Boys'' season 5

It's unacceptable that so much information, most of which could be omitted, is added using only three sources. The paragraph you added far surpasses many other paragraphs in the article that have significantly more references. Just like with episode summaries, you should always add only the information necessary to tell the story, not sentences with irrelevant information or quotes from the author that can be removed or shortened to convey the essentials. And something I've pointed out to you on several occasions, and I've commented on your error: Wikipedia doesn't use things like "season three," the correct term is "third season," and so on with all the numbers. I appreciate your contribution to the article, but you can't overload it with so much information, much of which could be omitted, as it makes the reading tedious. And the information isn't bad, so just summarize it—a good portion of it, to be honest—and add it back in. Marco camino 10 (talk) 11:44, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

:I've already added the summarized information. Actually, apart from a few minor details, most of what had to be removed were direct quotes that weren't essential to conveying the information, and you added a large portion of those. And before I bring that up as justification, I just realized that the same thing happens in other parts of the text: a large amount of information comes from a single source and, just like with yours, it has many unnecessary parts. When I have more time—I'm mostly busy right now—I'll also summarize them to include only the information truly necessary to convey the intended message. Marco camino 10 (talk) 14:14, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
::* Response to Special:Diff/1354275782 ↗: Understood. It won't happen again.
::* Response to Special:Diff/1354291380 ↗: Thanks for adding the summarized information. I appreciate it.

Alien/extraterrestrial

Hey, thanks for letting me know about the alien/extraterrestrial ↗ wording on ''Disclosure Day ↗''! It definitely read to me as unnecessarily verbose, but I see your point and agree with your changed wording.

I just wanted to check, what did you mean by ''"you also reverted the RT review count update, which definitely isn't acceptable"''? I couldn't find the edit you were talking about, but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. Kognise (talk) 02:02, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

:Oh, I see. I missed that you also made a Rotten Tomatoes ↗ count change in the same edit. I'm so sorry! I'll make sure to be more careful in the future. Kognise (talk) 02:02, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
::You're welcome and thanks for understanding. Glad that you see my point and agree with my changes in the wording; no need to respond to this.

Reverts

Hello {{ping|Movie Lover 111}} I inadvertently reverted one of your edits of Mariska Hargitay ↗ with my edit here ↗. Sorry about that - I corrected it. Nonetheless, I reverted the new image you placed in Hargitay's Infobox here ↗. As is typical, please take the issue of image usage to Talk:Mariska Hargitay ↗ for consensus before re-adding it. Thanks, Quaerens-veritatem (talk) 01:18, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
