Your account has been granted the "{{mono|templateeditor}}" user permission, allowing you to edit templates ↗ and modules ↗ that have been protected with template protection ↗. It also allows you to bypass the title blacklist ↗, giving you the ability to create and edit editnotices ↗. Before you use this user right, please read '''Wikipedia:Template editor ↗''' and make sure you understand its contents. In particular, you should read the section on wise template editing ↗ and the criteria for revocation ↗.

Chinese History: A New Manual

Chinese History: A New Manual. The article I was revising is based on the 6th edition (2022). Because a 7th edition was published in 2025, I am in the process of updating the article based on the contents of the new edition. My updates were written by me. I do not use LLMs! Was that you on Minecraft Wiki?

I was curious because I've seen edits there from the same username; see https://minecraft.wiki/w/Special:Contributions/Sumanuil - although no activity for the last couple of months.

I'm an admin there, as well as here. And at the moment I'm really frustrated that Minecraft Bedrock Edition refuses to run. The launcher starts it, a black screen opens, and then closes, and that's it. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it for one day but then it stopped working again. ~Anachronist (who / me) <small>(talk)</small> 02:52, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

Yes, that is me. I haven't been having that issue. Just some difficultly getting my classic skin to load. Although I don't bother with the launcher. Once the game is installed, the launcher is superfluous. Try running Bedrock directly from a shortcut.&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. '''</span><span style="color:Purple">(talk to me)</span> ↗ 03:01, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

:The problem is that the installation folder is no longer in "Program Files" but in "C:\Xbox games", not the same place it used to be, and there is no longer any choice about installing the launcher. I did try to find the executable and run it directly (it wasn't a straightforward path), and the launcher was bypassed but it still opened as a black window that closed eventually by itself. I guess I'll have to ask for help on Reddit.
:Even stranger, the last time I got it to work it showed me all my previously-saved worlds, but those no longer existed in the expected path. I have no idea where they are stored. I may do a full reset and lose them all, which is a shame because I have an island survival world that I've been playing in Hard mode since before the pandemic started 7 years ago. ~Anachronist (who / me) <small>(talk)</small> 03:31, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
::By the way, I notice you didn't have the rollback user right, so I just granted it. You don't have to use it, but it's there if you ever need the convenience of quickly reverting obvious vandalism. ~Anachronist (who / me) <small>(talk)</small> 04:00, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

Germanic languages map

Hi, I created {{t|Germanic languages map}} because Languages of Europe ↗, Germanic languages ↗, North Germanic languages ↗, and West Germanic languages ↗ all used the same map and caption. WG is the only page that uses it in its infobox. I could create parameters for the template to display image-only and caption-only to split them up for the infobox if that seems preferable; I see no reason to have duplicates over transclusions. ~ <span style="color: #e3308a">oklopfer</span> (💬) 06:19, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

:Then could you not have it as a thumbnail? Infoboxes aren't supposed to use thumbnails.&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. '''</span><span style="color:Purple">(talk to me)</span> ↗ 06:21, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
::It wasn't using <code>thumb</code> at first, but another editor complained that it was making the map massive without it (I was not able to reproduce the issue). Just trying to find a middle ground to satisfy everyone. ~ <span style="color: #e3308a">oklopfer</span> (💬) 06:31, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

:The only other templates like this I could find are {{t|Old Norse language map}} and {{t|Linguistic map of Europe}}. Could you use those as a model?&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. '''</span><span style="color:Purple">(talk to me)</span> ↗ 08:01, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
::There is also {{t|Germanic tribes (750BC-1AD)}}. Given these others, there is probably not much more I should do to the template itself. Perhaps better to put a more West Germanic-specific map in the infobox, but I can't seem to find one on Commons. ~ <span style="color: #e3308a">oklopfer</span> (💬) 08:24, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

:None of those are causing "infoboxes with thumbnail images" errors. I'm going to try re-writing it in my sandbox.&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. '''</span><span style="color:Purple">(talk to me)</span> ↗ 09:12, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks for your work on it with the reduced image size. I did restore the parameters and the old caption, as there is a difference between dots and lines, and the parameters make it more flexible. I made sure to transfer your parameter values to the WG page (scale 1.0, display framed). ~ <span style="color: #e3308a">oklopfer</span> (💬) 15:02, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Page Banner Query

Hi, I created the Julie Moselen ↗ page, and was wondering if you could please point out where in the page my language is promotional? I am still a relatively new editor and am open to feedback. I am aware some of the sources used are associated with the artist, which is often the case with smaller contemporary artists, but I try my best to keep all language neutral and informative.
I also wanted to ask if the image you deleted was due to aesthetic reasons or a violation of rules? I have used this method of putting a photo of the artist's artwork when an image of them is not available as it increases the interest and reach of the article, but if this is strictly forbidden I'm happy to keep your edit.
Thank you, Avawatson03 (talk) 07:07, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

:Phrases like "inspires the symbolism within her work, as well as influencing the way they respond to their environment" belong in a press release, not an encyclopedia. The image was used twice, and as a thumbnail in the infobox (which goes against the manual of style).&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. Blood libel

Hello. I am surprised that you reverted my edit ↗ in Blood libel ↗. The statement is solidly referenced and is useful for people to understand why the term "blood libel" is used nowadays in a way that is drastically different from its traditional meaning. Please provide an explanation or undo your edit. Hispalois (talk) 08:11, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

It's been discussed on the talk page before. :I'm on a desktop. Hovering gets me an article preview. But that doesn't matter, because marker images should be from the marker images categories on Commons. ::Thank you for the feedback. Would you please let me know what you mean by "marker images should be from the marker images categories on Commons"? Assadzadeh (talk) 05:50, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

:I mean exactly what I said. Marker images need to be marker images, like this: File:Asselian_pog.svg ↗, or dots like the map already has. Also, the hovering images aren't really necessary for locations/teams that have articles about them, which is all of them.&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. Corrections of errors. "Township of Hamilton"

I have only made corrections to factual mistakes on the Wikipedia website. The usage of "Hamilton Township" to describe or refer to that place, is not factual. The authentic and factual description is "Township of Hamilton". This is the only legally acceptable title to refer to the municipal corporation which was established by the legislature of the state of New Jersey, in the United States of America. hi!! I see your attention, but you'd mentioned it was source related and i'm not sure what to do about that. I made my account for the museum so I could work on the pages related to it, so I'm not super well versed in editing or creating wiki pages. how should I go about sources because of that? everything is cross checked with our resources and history regarding the museum, building history, local history, etc. so I'm not sure why my edits were removed otherwise. anything helps! thank you!! Hey, I'm about to revert a good faith edit of yours on Sovereign Yidindji Government ↗.
