Separating AOC and Subsidies



Hi im just here to leave you note that has been discussed and agreed that we do not separate airlines with different subsidies for example like Wizzair, Wizzair UK, Wizzair Malta, Wizzair Abu Dhabi or Eurowings and their subsidies except Eurowings Discover or Easyjet and their subsidies or British Airways and their subsidies, etc. The list goes on. All these subsidies have just different AOC but using the same website with the same rules. That's why we do not list it separately. As you stated your example Air India and Air India Express are two different brands indeed using different rules and different websites etc. in that case those are listed separately. That is the sole reason I stopped editing the pages as I was expecting the discussion link. First you say there's been a discussion and consensus and then when I ask about it, you fail to provide it. Also, your reason of merging the subsidiaries because of them "having the same website" rather seems invalid because if it had been the case, then AirAsia's subsidiaries (Indonesia AirAsia, Thai AirAsia, etc.) would be shown as merged into AirAsia as the website is common. But, they are listed differently on Wikipedia.

'''For example:''' Alliance Air was Air India's subsidiary till January 2022. During those times, there websites were the same. But Alliance Air's routes were never mentioned under Air India. They were and are still listed differently.

'''Example:''' AirAsia India flights (IATA: I5 ; ICAO: IAD) were and are never shown under the IATA code AK (which belongs to its parent company AirAsia), the flights are always listed as I5XXX. Thai AirAsia X, AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, all are AirAsia's subsidiaries and have the same website but are always shown differently because they are different airlines - this is the key here: DIFFERENT AIRLINES which have different codes. Where is the logic in your statement?

A flight which is being operated by I5 should not be under AK. It creates confusion as to which airline is actually operating the flight (I5 or AK). This is the reason they are listed differently. ::::::::I also noticed that you mentioned of WP:AIRPORTS in your edit summary on Abu Dhabi International Airport. I read the entire Airlines and destinations section of that page thrice but could found no statement which justifies your edit on merging subsidiaries. I also read WP:AIRLINES but as usual, there was no mention of any rule that stated "subsidiary airlines should be merged".

:::::::::It looks to me that the only confusion is you are creating for yourself by not reading the archive. you are still mixing names with flight/IATA numbers. all flights are by AirASia. If you buy a flight with Airasia I5 and another connecting flight is AK. what you use as a common name i fly with AirAsia no matter what IATA each flight uses. Thats if you would read WP:COMMONNAME you would understand. as you mentioned flights operate by (I5 or AK) which is another topic in the archive that we do not list operated by (you would have known that if you would read archive). Manually moving categories



Could you please stop manually moving categories from "X in Allahabad" to "X in Prayagraj"? The proper process is to list them at WP:CFDS ↗, citing WP:C2D ↗, not copy-and-paste and haphazardly change articles around. Regarding your edit at 18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly ↗, whenever there is a death/ disqualification or resignation by MLA, do not remove the name of outgoing MLA since they are historically a part of that assembly until their death disqualification or resignation. @TrangaBellam We need to mention about the report because it is a serious current issue pertaining to Gyanvapi. Important current events are always mentioned in Wikipedia, or they aren't? The content that I have added about the ASI survey is to expand the litigation section with respect to what is happening currently, of which the ASI report is a very significant part. Line-by-line details of the report have not been mentioned. Not mentioning the findings also undermines WP:NPOV ↗, as in that case the article seems to describe the current issue from a the point of view of the Muslim-side. :Hello sir. Hope you are fine and doing well! I really appreciate your work of linking the winning MLA pages with the winning candidates in the results section of the assembly constituency pages. Please continue doing that. I have absolutely no issues with that.
:However, there is one thing that we must address. You must have noticed that before you link the page, the candidates section are written in a certain manner. That is, first the winning candidate's name is mentioned at the top, followed by his party, written below his name, followed by the number of votes he/she got, the percentage of votes and finally the swing. Similarly, below that, the runner up candidate is placed, in the same format, written like bullet points, first the name, then the party, number of votes, percentage and the swing.
:Like this:

:| votes = 123
:| percentage = 10.15
:| change = +4.5
:You see, everything is written in a precise way, with equal spacing between the candidate and the candidate's name and the other details. This is the standard format followed in all candidate result tables across the globe.
:Now, I noticed that while you link the page, which is great work, you also remove the spaces and the above format becomes like this -

:When you do this, it becomes very complex and mixes up everything and is difficult to edit in future.

Unexplained revocation of bot edits to West Bengal constituency pages



Hi, I am the operator of the :User:C1MM-bot ↗ page which has been making edits to election results sections for multiple Indian assembly constituencies (you can see the bot's previous work in all the Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan assembly constituencies. I made edits to the assembly constituency pages for the 2026 West Bengal elections and noticed many of the bot edits were revoked by you without any explanation. Was there something the bot was doing wrong here? The bot intends to format constituencies more nicely, add candidates with vote thresholds above 0.9% (a cutoff I have felt reflects at least some support) and remove candidates below that threshold unless they are linked to (are notable). Under what conditions would you be OK with the bot running over these pages? Do you have issues with the bot in general running over any Indian assembly constituency page (not just for West Bengal)? Please let me know so I can make fixes or if you feel the issues with the bot are fundamental you can contact an administrator to ask for the bot to be blocked (see :Wikipedia:Bot policy#Dealing with issues ↗). :Hello. Hope you are doing well! Yes I reverted those edits because of several reasons.
:1) The bot removed swings for 2021 election results which were previously added.
:2) The bot's primary job was to re-organise the table format but instead of that it added extra para-space between different result tables, added disambiguation links (changing Revolutionary Socialist Party (India) to Revolutionary Socialist Party this creating confusion.
:3) It also replaced "None of the above (India)" version to only None of the above. I felt in case of Indian results if we keep the add version it will make much more sense.
:4) The bot replaced "Trinamool Congress", which is the official name on Wikipedia, to "All India Trinamool Congress" thus making a redirect which I felt was really unnecessary.
:5) Also regarding number formatting, is it permissible to keep the numbers in Indian number system format (i.e., in lakhs) instead of thousands?
:These are some of the reasons because of which I reverted those edits.

::6) The bot removed links of winning candidates to their pages and added unnecessary long names. For example: In Mandirbazar constituency, Joydeb Halder ↗ was changed to '''Joydeb Halder - S/O Kartick Halder'''. In Mangalkot, "Apurba Chowdhury" became "Apurba Chowdhury (Achal)". These bracket names are basically nicknames of the candidate which I think if we started to add in result tables will make the article too much crowded.

Not sure why the names with links were being overwritten, that should never happen and has worked correctly in the past, I think it has to do with the party names issue. I'll fix that. Swings should also be preserved, so I think there must be a bug.
:::For number formatting, I was asked to use <nowiki>{{formatnum:}}</nowiki> template for all numbers when I got the approval, and it uses the Western style as quoted in WP:MOS/India ↗ (doesn't make sense to me).
:::Another thing, I see you put <nowiki>{{new}}</nowiki> templates next to parties which haven't contested in the constituency in the last election, I would probably only use that for people/parties contesting their first election rather than returning to it after a while (see INC in Nanoor ↗).
