Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Draft:Iraqi Discord Campaigns ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as :Draft:Iraqi Discord Campaigns ↗, is considered to be vandalism ↗ and is prohibited ↗. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox ↗. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the '''loss of editing privileges ↗'''.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. <!-- Template:Db-hoax-notice --> shane (talk) 15:41, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Battle of Tall al‑Hammam ↗

A tag has been placed on :Battle of Tall al‑Hammam ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it exhibits one or more of the following signs which indicate that the page could only plausibly have been generated by large language model ↗s (an "AI chatbot ↗" or other application using such technology) and would have been removed by any ''reasonable human review'':
Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia ↗, and output must be carefully checked. Pages created using them that did not undergo human review may be deleted at any time.

If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find creating new encyclopedia content yourself difficult, please share this with other editors at the Teahouse ↗, and they may be able to help. Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions ↗!

You may have used a large language model (LLM), such as ChatGPT, in your edits. While using LLMs can be very useful, machine-generated text—much like human-created text—can contain errors or flaws, or be outright useless (see WP:LLM ↗). Specifically, asking an LLM to "write a Wikipedia article" can sometimes cause the output to be outright fabrication ↗, complete with fictitious references ↗. It may be biased ↗, may libel ↗ living people ↗, or violate copyrights ↗. Thus, editors should verify ''all'' LLM-generated text before using it in an article. Please prioritize manual contributions and thorough research when editing. If you are unsure about your wording, an alternative is to suggest it on the talk page for another volunteer to look at it. If you are creating a new article, you may find it help to use Articles for Creation ↗ process, where you can receive feedback on your work.

As you get started editing Wikipedia, you may find the pages below to be helpful:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse ↗, or you can {{edit|Special:MyTalk|click here to ask a question on your talk page|section=new|preload=Help:Contents/helpmepreload|preloadtitle=Help me!}}, and someone will be along to answer it shortly. In your messages, please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (~&#126;~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. Hello, Mohammadobeidi55

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged :Battle of Hawijah (1764) ↗ for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

Battle of Damascus (750) ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Battle of Damascus (750) ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because '''it consists of machine-generated text''' and '''it needs inline citations'''.
I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. aesurias ''(ping me in your reply, or I won't see it)'' (talk) 03:51, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

:Moved this back to draft space, as it lacks citations and is and contains original research ↗, ex: “The battle is considered a Political Collapse of the Umayyad dynasty, with Damascus’ capture demonstrating the Abbasids’ ability to consolidate authority quickly and ending the Umayyad Caliphate entirely as a force in Asia”.
:Ultimately, it fails notability ↗ guidelines. As a specific event, it is not significantly covered in reliable secondary sources.
:Based on the several similar notices to you, I highly recommend you stop attempting to create new articles until you familiarize yourself with our basic rules on notability, original resarch, citations ↗ and prohibition on using LLMs (like ChatGPT). —Al Ameer (talk) 10:09, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::I have changed most of the articles with chat gpt, and I had used sources I have Searched for myself. What more do you even request? Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 12:01, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:::ive changed over half of everything. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 12:02, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::::Not sure about that: you have not added in-line citations, you have not addressed the original research example I mentioned above (no page number provided so cannot be verified ↗), and still looks like much of it was generated by an LLM. Vitally, and this is the main issue, there's no indication that this specific event, the 'Battle of Damascus', merits its own article. The entire "Battle" section of the article is three sentences and even this unsourced information that you have provided alludes to its lack of notability: "Medieval chronicles and historians indicate that resistance within Damascus was limited. The Abbasids entered the city after brief skirmishes, encountering minimal organized opposition".
::::At most, the occupation of Damascus by Abbasid troops can referenced with some passing in the appropriate place at Abbasid Revolution ↗ and in the 'Aftermath' section of the Battle of the Zab ↗. I advise you move it back to Draft space, or if you agree with this assessment, I can delete it now.
::::As a general note, please refrain from starting new articles before you become acquainted with WP policies (it won't take too long to review and understand the basics). In the beginning, it may be better to try and improve existing articles. Al Ameer (talk) 15:57, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::ah. But couldn't you help me improve it? It's available for you to edit aswell after all. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 17:46, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::so if you will thanks. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 17:48, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::::As I said, I think the best course is simply to delete it and instead briefly mention the Abbasid occupation of Damascus in the article Abbasid Revolution ↗ and in the 'Aftermath' section of Battle of the Zab ↗. --Al Ameer (talk) 18:39, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::::oh come on man I can't waste progress. I had already changed most of the article. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 19:20, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::I understand your frustration, that's why I recommend you refrain from starting new articles until you're fairly acquainted with the basic policies. That way you do not waste your precious time and that of others. If the subject (Battle of Damascus) does not merit its own article, which it does not, then there's little point trying to improve it--it will just be deleted anyway. Hence, I recommend you at least take the worthwhile parts (at this rate ''maybe'' two or three sentences with appropriate citations) and relocate them to those two articles I mentioned above: that way you will be improving those existing articles and not creating a mess for other editors to clean up.
:::::::::Please consider this a learning curve (I had to learn the hard way too) and if you want to advice in the future, do not hesitate to ask me or other experienced editors ''before'' you create a new article. If you stick to basic policies and cooperation with others, you will become a productive editor in no time. Best, --Al Ameer (talk) 21:18, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::but couldn't I make Wikipedia articles with other people? I've already done one duo page with a Reliable historian. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 21:55, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:You can make articles but nearly all you've created have been deleted or moved by editors to draft space. Since you're not familiar with basic policies you should either stop creating articles in the meantime or, at minimum, start them as draft ↗s instead of mainspace. This will allow experienced editors to review and not waste their time and your time deleting your contributions. Do not create articles with "reliable historians": just stick with reliable sources ↗ as defined by wikipedia. In the meantime, I'm moving Battle of Damascus (750) back to draft space. Ultimately, unless it's demonstrated that this event is notable ↗ in its own right, which is determined by reliable, secondary sources, it will be deleted or some of its content moved to other related pages (with attribution to you). Al Ameer (talk) 03:23, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::well what sources do you recommend? Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 08:02, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::The sources themselves are not the issue. The problem is they are not discussing a battle in Damascus in 750, except one (Kennedy), who offers a single sentence on the matter. This is what each of the secondary sources you listed mention regarding Damascus in 750:
:::#Kennedy: "In Damascus in fact the Yamani party opened the gates to the pursuing ‘Abbasid forces." Nothing about a battle.
:::#Donner: Nothing, because this book is about the 7th-century Muslim conquests.
:::#Blankinship: Nothing. This book deals with the reign of Hisham ({{reign|724|743}}) and does not discuss details of the Abbasid Revolution and nothing at all about the fall of Damascus.
:::#Crone: Nothing. This has book doesn't mention Damascus in 750 at all.
:::#THE DECISIVE BÄTTLES IN THE ARAB: I don't know what this source is but it does not discuss any battle of Damascus in 750, only the conquest in the 630s.
:::Primary sources you listed, keeping in mind primary sources are only to be used sparingly and for supplementary purposes:
:::#Baladhuri: Nothing, as this book deals with the conquests only, not Umayyad or Abbasid rule.
:::#Tabari, vol 26: Nothing, because this volume does not deal with the fall of the Umayyad Caliphate in 750, the volume's coverage ends in the year 745 when Marwan II takes power.
:::Despite the clear lack of support, you make numerous claims in the article, going as far as mentioning troop numbers, casualties, false claims that the entire Umayyad family was killed except those who fled to Spain, that Marwan defended the city when he was not even allowed in, that Ibrahim al-Imam was among the Abbasid commanders, despite having died the year before this event took place.
:::It is clear you generated this article with an LLM and the LLM perhaps vomited these plausible sources to support the information. Turns out it's all bullshit. Since you refuse to cooperate in good faith, as demonstrated by your restoration of the page to mainspace yet again, I will nominating it for deletion. Further, if you continue this way, you will be reported for disruptive editing as you are introducing LLM-generated original research and wasting editors' time. --Al Ameer (talk) 15:23, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::::I have read sources from others who had made Wikipedia articles before I have. The sources had mentioned that most of the Umayyad Dynasty had been killed. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 15:44, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::But I have contacted others to find sources that does. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 15:45, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::::So If you could, It'd be helpful if you named at least one source. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 15:47, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::but good news I have found a source but it is just a site. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 15:49, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::so that's just 2 sources talking about The battle. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 15:52, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::::i am more frustrated than I have been in days. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 15:53, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::::Mohammed, I've been patient but can only spend so much time if you're not willing to cooperate in good faith. You need to start with the basics: do not use LLMs ''at all'' (start from scratch wherever you used LLMs previously). And please review our policies about original research ↗, reliable sources ↗, notability ↗. You need to actually read and understand the sources you are citing. Using sources falsely or completely misrepresenting sources is a serious violation. --Al Ameer (talk) 16:15, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::i am, but it's extremely difficult to find sources talking about this. I only had Britannica which isn't even directly a historical site. It's only on the historical site other than the news articles. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 16:50, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::so I politely ask. Is there a way I can find sources about the topic I'm talking about? I've searched on Google. I'm gonna have to use Every single other source I can get at this rate. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 16:52, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::::one says it was a capturing with barely any Resistance. Others say it was a storming. Other say it was a skirmish. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 16:56, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::::but I guess I'll use citation bot to help. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 17:15, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::::::This is what I’ve been trying to tell you. The fact you find it extremely difficult to find a source about it means it is not notable enough in and of itself to warrant its own article. I cannot be any clearer. —Al Ameer (talk) 17:41, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::::::at this point I give up delete it. Mohammadobeidi55 (talk) 22:48, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Siege of Kalinjar (1545) ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗

Thank you for your interest in Indian military history ↗. Due to past disruption, a special set of rules ↗ apply to anyone editing in this topic area. Specifically, only extended confirmed ↗ editors are allowed to make direct edits and page creations ↗ to this topic area. Since you currently do not meet the requirements to contribute to this topic area, the page you created has been nominated for speedy deletion under G5 ↗.

If you think this page does not fall under the general sanctions described, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Additionally you may wish to read about the topic restrictions here ↗.<!-- Template:Db-gs-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> ScalarFactor (talk) 18:05, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Important points to note:
# {{strong|Edit warring is disruptive behavior ↗ – regardless of how many reverts you have made;}}
# {{strong|Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.}}
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page ↗ and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. Your draft article, Draft:Operations Conducted On Marsh Arabs ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗

Hello, Iwantashawarma. This message concerns the Articles for Creation ↗ submission or draft ↗ page you started, "Operations Conducted On Marsh Arabs ↗".

Drafts that go unedited for six months are eligible for deletion, in accordance with our draftspace policy ↗, and this one has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply {{edit|Draft:Operations Conducted On Marsh Arabs|edit the submission}}, and remove the {{tlc|db-afc}}, {{tlc|db-draft}}, or {{tlc|db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you read this, you can '''request its undeletion''' ↗. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the draft so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! <!-- Template:Db-draft-notice --> DreamRimmer bot II (talk) 10:26, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to :Madhhij ↗. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see MOS:INFOBOXIMAGE ↗). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

{{para|image|{{var|<syntaxhighlight inline lang="wikitext">thumb|Some image caption ↗</syntaxhighlight>}}}}

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

{{para|image|{{var|SomeImage.jpg}}}}.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as {{para|caption|{{var|Some image caption}}}}. Please note that this is just an example that I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using. Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Siege of Rohtasgarh ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Siege of Rohtasgarh ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because '''it needs more sources to establish notability'''.
I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. <span style="color:MidnightBlue;">Zalaraz</span> (<span style="color:black; font-weight:bold;">talk</span>) 14:53, 20 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hello Iwantashawarma, and thank you for your interest in contributing to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, there are a number of issues with the new articles you've been creating. It does not appear that these historical battles are appropriately sourced to pass our notability ↗ requirements, namely, WP:NEVENT ↗. It also looks like Siege of Rohtasgarh ↗ was split from Sher Shah Suri ↗ without proper attribution ↗. Under-sourced articles on non-notable battles in South Asia are a persistent problem on Wikipedia. I've blocked you from creating new pages, because it doesn't appear that you have the experience yet to identify which topics merit standalone articles. You can edit existing articles to continue gaining experience on Wikipedia. I also encourage you to work on articles that have no connection to our contentious topics, since that can be a gentler learning environment. If you later think you are prepared to create articles again, you can read our Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks ↗ for the procedure; if you have any questions, feel free to ask. <span style="color: #6703fc">~ le <small> 🌸</small> valyn</span> (talk) 03:24, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

For making false pages even though I was searching for more citations during the time but I understand because they both have the lowest citations sadly but I have learnt my lesson and thought about it and I promise to search for more sources citing the articles or battles I made.{{pb}}
'''''If unblocked, what edits would you make and what (if applicable) would you do differently?'''''{{pb}}
Then I'd improve the pages and go search up for more citations and sources to add them to make the pages I need to improve.{{pb}}

You do not need to be creating new articles in order to demonstrate you can make better quality edits. The best way to get unblocked is to make an unblock request ''after'' you show that you make properly sourced, productive edits to existing articles. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 13:47, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
