I have, again, moved Tony Mattivi to Draft space

Please leave Draft:Tony Mattivi ↗ at it's current location unless/until Tony Mattivi is confirmed. This is the current policy of WikiProject United States courts and judges, particularly as Tony Mattivi likely will NOT satisfy WP:GNG ↗ until he takes office as a judge. ALSO, this will prevent the page from being nominated for deletion for failure to pass WP:GNG ↗. You ARE encouraged to continue working on the page in draft space and getting it ready for when Mattivi is confirmed and takes office. Thank you. Safiel (talk) 15:51, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

:My apologies, I did not realize the reason and assumed that it had to do with sourcing. Thank you for letting me know Jishara (talk) 04:52, 23 March 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Before adding a category to an article, as you did to :Dannie Druehyld ↗, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines ↗. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable ↗ content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-badcat --> SMasonGarrison 19:30, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Bạch Tuyết ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

Autopatrolled granted

right|80px ↗
Hi Jishara, I just wanted to let you know that I have <span class="plainlinks">added ↗</span> the autopatrolled user right ↗ to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed ↗. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested ↗ on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers ↗.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject ↗ templates, stub tags ↗, categories ↗, and incoming links ↗ to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies ↗, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller ↗ yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

This right will expire after '''2 months''' but when that period is expiring, you are welcome to ask me, or submit another WP:PERM ↗ request, for indefinite permissions. An expiry period was set because you are still new to regularly editing.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! <span style="color:#5A4FCF">Arctic'''ocean'''&nbsp;■</span> 20:32, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

:Thank you so much, Arcticocean! I am deeply honored and will make sure to keep a high standard in all my future articles. I'll also remember to request indefinite permissions from you in a little under two months. Jishara (talk) 20:37, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
:Also, Arcticocean, I'd be honored to become a new page patroller as well. I do not have the 500 mainspace edits yet, though, as I tend to focus on page creations. Should I wait to apply until after I've completed the 500 edits? Jishara (talk) 04:41, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

Clay Mills

Which sources do you think are sufficient? When I so clearly spelled out that the sources I found don't say a damn thing about him? <span style="color:green">'''Ten Pound Hammer'''</span> (<small>they/them</small>) • (What did I screw up now?) 15:02, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

:{{yo|TenPoundHammer}} I've found all of these: 1 ↗, 2 ↗, 3 ↗, 4 ↗ 5 ↗, 6 ↗, 7 ↗
:they all speak significantly about him, and at least 4 of them (Musicrow/2, AZSongwriters/5, Tennesseean/7, and Musicrow/6) are independent and reliable Jishara (talk) 15:08, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
::1 is a transcript of a video created by Mills himself, therefore a primary source. 3 and 4 are interviews, meaning they are also primary sources. 5 is routine coverage of a meeting he's about to have. "Local person to do random thing at local venue" coverage is historically not considered SIGCOV. 7 is paywalled, so I'm not sure how in-depth it is or isn't. I'm still not sold on the two MusicRow blurbs because of how short they are. Do you think they're SIGCOV, given how short they are?
::The ASCAP awards he won just verify that his song was recorded by somebody. They aren't equivalent to a Grammy or Country Music Association ↗ award. I have songs in BMI (ASCAP's main rival), meaning I am theoretically capable of winning a similar award from them. As I said, he himself was never nominated for those two Grammys; Diamond Rio and Trisha Yearwood were the nominees for his work, meaning it is inaccurate for him or sources about him to call him a two-time Grammy nominee. Also, as I pointed out with examples, other creatives who did notable works can still be deleted if the sourcing just isn't there (again, I still can't find ''any'' proof Danny Orton is from Louisiana, which is a big red flag). Notability is WP:NOTINHERITED ↗.
::The sourcing is still paper-thin here, and literally all we seem to know about him biographically is that he's from Mississippi. Still, good on you for backing up your stance. I've seen far too many editors completely ignore inquiries for sourcing and just blindly state "he wrote a notable song so he's notable" without trying to WP:PROVEIT ↗. It's still borderline at best to me, so I'll let it ride. <span style="color:green">'''Ten Pound Hammer'''</span> (<small>they/them</small>) • (What did I screw up now?) 15:29, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Hi! Thanks for the response. I'm sold on the Musicrow ones because they both surpass WP:100WORDS ↗, hanging out at around 230ish words each - and it seems to be a reliable source re: country music. I'm not sure how long Tennessean is either, but given that the pre-paywall chunk is already half of the 100 words, I'm fairly comfortable that it is likely to be sufficient. Also, AZSongwriters is based in Arizona while Mills is born in Mississippi/lives in Nashville, so not sure it's local person at local venue, though i see your point that it may be routine. Still, while the sourcing is lighter than ideal, i think it's sufficient.
:::Jishara (talk) 15:52, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
::::''MusicRow ↗'' is indeed a reputable source for country music. It's listed as reliable on WP:A/S ↗, and journalist Robert K. Oermann ↗ is heavily involved with it. WP:100WORDS ↗ is a good standard to know about. <span style="color:green">'''Ten Pound Hammer'''</span> (<small>they/them</small>) • (What did I screw up now?) 16:04, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Hey Jishara, the third annual Developing Countries WikiContest ↗ is now '''open for submissions'''. Welcome to the contest! You can now list your work at '''your submissions page''' ↗ to earn points ↗. We hope that you enjoy participating in this drive to fight Wikipedia's systemic bias ↗. If you haven't done so already, please review the following:

On behalf of the coordinators, we hope you enjoy participating and wish you the best of luck! If you have any questions, please leave a message on the contest talk page ↗ or ask one of the coordinators: {{noping2|Arconning}}, {{noping2|Generalissima}}, {{noping2|Magentic Manifestations}}, {{noping2|sawyer777}}, or {{noping2|TechnoSquirrel69}}. <small>(To unsubscribe from these updates, remove yourself from this list ↗. :{{@DCWC}} Sorry, quick q - i just wanted to confirm that I added my work in the correct format at my submissions page (reviewing the two Good Article noms), because it doesn't seem to be on the leaderboard yet? Jishara (talk) 16:01, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
::Hey Jishara. The coordinators were deliberating on one of your submissions, which is what caused the delay — the leaderboard is now updated! I unfortunately had to decline your submission of Amadu Bansang Jobarteh's GAN review ↗ under the relevant section of the scoring rules ↗, as the review was too short to meet the criteria. This is not to say that your review was invalid, however, just that we ask for a slightly higher standard in contest submissions to ensure that participants are doing their due diligence. The easy way to clear the threshold is to make it explicit that you've evaluated all of the GA criteria (which you've done) as well as to show the results of your spot-check (which you did for Wuhsha al-dallala ↗) even when you detect no issues. I think this GAN review ↗ is a good example of how, even when approaching "quick pass" territory, a review can be decently in-depth. I hope that feedback helps, let me know if you have any questions, and good luck with the rest of the contest! <span class="nowrap">—<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''TechnoSquirrel69'''</span></span> <small>(<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''talk'''</span>)</small> 20:57, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
:::Oh. That's really surprising {{yo|TechnoSquirrel69}} considering it's much higher than the minimum length criteria. Since it's already done and the article's already approved I'm assuming I can't lengthen and resubmit it? Jishara (talk) 22:41, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
::::We generally don't count text from the review templates (in this case, I think, {{tl|GAList}}?). I don't think it would be fair to the nominator to reopen the review at this point, so my message above was more about your future submissions. <span class="nowrap">—<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''TechnoSquirrel69'''</span></span> <small>(<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''talk'''</span>)</small> 23:29, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::Ah, okay makes sense. Thank you for letting me know. Jishara (talk) 23:33, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::Just to clarify, i wasn't proposing pulling and redoing it. I was proposing that since I remember which articles I checked I could just edit that in. But if that's not possible as you said I understand. Jishara (talk) 23:57, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
::::::Gotcha. I don't necessarily have a problem with that if it's not going to require more work from the nominator's side, but I'm not sure if that would change its eligibility from the DCWC's perspective, as your review was pretty light on commentary in other areas as well. Let me ask one of my fellow {{@DCWC|a=|p=}} for a second opinion on this. <span class="nowrap">—<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''TechnoSquirrel69'''</span></span> <small>(<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''talk'''</span>)</small> 00:30, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

::::::::Hi Jishara! We deliberated on your last submission, Leonid Kravchuk ↗, and I am sorry to inform you that the submission has been declined. We felt that the review did not fully address all of the GA criteria. A brief read-through of a few of the paragraphs revealed several clear grammatical and prose issues, for e.g. "Kravchuk refused their demands to dissolve the condemn the coup" , " by the time Kravchuk and Hurenko were appointed their positions", "Following the Act of Declaration of Independence Kravchuk was vested with presidential powers". Given that the article is well over 8k words, there could be a few more of these. For future reviews, it would be helpful if you can spend a little more time checking the prose and ensuring that each of the GA criteria is explicitly considered before making a decision. Thanks! Magentic Manifestations (talk) 15:39, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::Thanks so much for catching that - I clearly need to make my prose check and citation check separate rounds, so have started doing that now. I've also gone back thru and found/fixed those and a few other prose problems I spotted. Thanks for your comment, and my apologies again. Jishara (talk) 17:18, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::Also, for clarity, for DYKs, do you score points upon getting the DYK promoted or upon the DYK going live? Thanks. Jishara (talk) 00:33, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
::{{outdent|7}} DYKs can be submitted once they hit the Main Page (it's point #4 under {{slinkno|WP:DCWC26/S#General rules}}, if you're curious). <span class="nowrap">—<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''TechnoSquirrel69'''</span></span> <small>(<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''talk'''</span>)</small> 01:37, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
