NSW Cup seasons
The information about other competitions is really out of scope of these articles. Perhaps they should be redesigned so that they are "NSWRL season" and cover all of the competitions run by the NSWRL in those years. Mattlore (talk) 22:08, 5 September 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gold Coast Titans women's squad
Hello, Nhoj1898,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Hughesdarren, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Gold Coast Titans women's squad ↗, for deletion, because it is a very short article that doesn't provide readers with enough context to determine who or what the subject is.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can <span class="plainlinks">'''[//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title={{urlencode:Talk:Gold Coast Titans women's squad}}&action=edit§ion=new&preload=Template:Hangon_preload&preloadtitle=This+page+should+not+be+speedy+deleted+because...+ contest this deletion]'''</span> but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=Gold+Coast+Titans+women%27s+squad&subtype=delete|deleting administrator}}.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with <code><nowiki>{{Re|</nowiki>Hughesdarren<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code>. And, don't forget to sign your reply with <code><nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></code> . Thanks!

2023 Pacific Rugby League Championships squads and national squad templates
The discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Rugby league#Squad tables ↗ questions why these tables need so much information that doesn't appear to be relevant. You obviously think it is relevant so please join the discussion rather than edit war over this article. Nthep (talk) 14:51, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
:Hi @Nthep
:I am not sure whether discussion with you will be productive.
:You began the edit war by undoing what I have spent at least 20 hours over the past fortnight preparing simply because your opinion differs from mine. Please check the page views, you are the first to visit this page to express that there is to much information.
:I am wondering whether you have the courtesy to respect the effort I have put in, and accept my opinion that the data I have included is what I believe is relevant information. Do you have the capacity to be gracious in the way that I was in not getting into an edit war with you over the 2003 Tonga tour page?
:As I write it is just past 1am where I am in Townsville. I have been up for 22 hours now after travelling from Cronulla to attend the first two matches of the championships. After getting into a terrific conversation with locals in a pub - just two slow beers for me over three hours - I return to my accommodation intending to update the page, to find the page I started a fortnight ago changed in line with your own opinion.
:My approach on updates is to update the spreadsheets and then transpose that data into the wiki tables. The mends I have drawn on the RLP, as I acknowledged. The women's is from the database (although its in Excel) that I have built since begin research into Women's internationals in May 2020. That is three and a half years worth of effort. All my additions to the various Women's international team pages are referenced.
:Your change to the page does cause me stress. This is perhaps most about the lack of respect, exacerbated by your failure to consult when we have collaborated in the past.
:Well, I need to sleep now. Very tired. Hopefully this gives you time to think. Is enforcing your opinion more important to you than being nice.
:Regards
:John Moriarty Nhoj1898 (talk) 15:28, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
::The original concern is not mine but I admit to being the first one to edit as a result of those concerns, after the discussion I linked to had been open for several days and when all the comments were of the opinion that the tables, as formatted, are not optimal.
::I have no problem admitting that I am of the school that "less is more" and that I do not like duplication of content simply for the sake of it. Just because we can doesn't mean we must or should.
::So my question here is how does it assist the casual reader to know a player's entire international career and how many games they have played for their current domestic club in an article about a specific tournament? If I want to know that then I click through to the article on that player where that information is relevant and is hopefully there.
::How does it help my understanding of the Pacific Bowl to know that James Tedesco has played 136 matches for Sydney Roosters or that he has also appeared for Italy? IMO not a jot. If I'm interested in his career then I look at the article about him.
::My other concerns are stylistic and ancillary to the above but for the sake of completeness if domestic career information is going to be included in a table then it ought to be all of it, not just NRL appearances with any other competition relegated to a collapsed table.
::Of course, I acknowledge the effort that went into compiling the data in the first place and it's data that needed compiling. It's simply I think it is in the wrong place.
::I'm sorry if you think there was a failure to consult but there was a discussion started (not by me) at a central forum and after a week in which no opinions to the contrary were given, I acted on what I thought was the emerging consensus. I'm more than happy for the discussion to continue and will go along with whatever consensus is reached. Nthep (talk) 16:51, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Word (misspelling?) in article Central Coast Roosters
Hello, Nhoj1898 --
Wikipedia:Typo_Team/moss ↗ found an unknown word in the article Central Coast Roosters ↗. I tracked this down to an update that you made at 12:48, 27 September 2020. In the new section '''NSWRL Womens Premiers (2020)''', in the third paragraph (beginning: "In the Grand Final"), the fourth sentence reads: <blockquote>North Sydney scored early in the second half, and that try was <u>convetered</u>.</blockquote> What is the underlined word supposed to be? 2024 Rugby League Pacific Championships squads
Hi, thanks for your work on compiling the squads for the 2024 Pacific Championships. A decision was made last year on the WikiProject page that these tables shouldn't be used as they are too information heavy, bias to the NRL, and the amount of shorthand makes it near impossible for a casual reader to understand. A much simpler tables currently present of the 2023 Rugby League Pacific Championships squads ↗ would be better. Thanks. Mn1548 (talk) 13:18, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
:Hi @Mn1548
:As I pointed out last year, it is disingenuous to claim that a decision was made in the forum when just one other person actively agrees with your opinion. The number of page views to the 2023 page in October and November 2023 suggests than plenty of readers appreciated the additional information.
:There is in inherent bias towards the NRL in the Pacific Championships given the number of players selected from NRL clubs. The only additional information that I have added is to include the number of NRL matches (for current club and in total).
:Where the number of players selected from English/French clubs justifies it, I have included a Super League column. For instance, in Fiji's squad. And for others, like NZ, I have included a note.
:The number of first tier club matches at a high level does have relevance, as collectively it indicates the experience and playing standard of the squads.
:Once the tournament has concluded, it will have much less relevance, and could be removed them, but for now it is only two columns.
:For similar reasons I have included the other representative matches column.
:As I have used tooltips for acronyms and abbreviations, most readers not already familiar with similar shorthand used throughout Rugby League past and present media will understand/ To your point, however, I will add a key for the benefit of the casual reader.
:One thing, I do acknowledge is that whilst the format I have used presents well on a laptop PC or tablet screen, when viewed on a smart phone it does necessitate turning from portrait to landscape for best viewing. But the same is true for the current layout of the 2023 squads page.
:This leads me to the idea of having two pages that are both offered from the 2024 RLPC page:
:1. ...squad statistics - which uses the format I have developed
:2. ...squad lists - which simply lists the players' name and club
:The 2nd version to cater for the smart phone viewer and casual viewer.
:At the conclusion of the tournament we can look at the page views of the respective pages, and see whether the readers prefer the minimal information, or appreciate the additional information that I have spent many hours compiling.
:That way we have an objective measurement, rather than the subjective option, where your opinion differs from mine.
:If you object to having two pages, then an alternative is to use an external reference from the main 2024 RLPC page to the NRL and or League Unlimited squad pages that simply list the players names and clubs.
:Yours in rugby league,
:John Moriarty
:Cronulla, NSW Nhoj1898 (talk) 01:56, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
::Thats simply not true, from re reading last year's discussion there were 5 out of the 6 users who participated that agreed the table needed to be trimmed.
::Two pages isn't really an option as Wikipedia shouldn't have multiple pages on the same thing. Wikipedia shouldn't also be listing statistics that are tangental to the main purpose of the article in this case domestic appearance and points, other representation, etc (see WP:INDISCRIMINATE ↗).
::Either way, I've pinged you in the current discussion so you can share your views there in a forum with other editors, ones who are more experienced in Wikipedia:Manual of Style ↗ than myself. Mn1548 (talk) 13:38, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Nhoj1898,
Thank you for creating List of England women's national rugby league players ↗.
I have tagged the page ↗ as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process ↗ and note that:
{{Quote|1=Thank you for adding all those citations to the sources section of the article. However, the player register table is still not directly sourced. If, for example, I wanted to verify the player register facts of Natalie Gilmour, I would have to sift through all the refs in the sources section, which makes life difficult for the reader. The table needs either (a) a citation next to each item or (b) a citation or citations at the end of each line. That task might also show up where citations are missing, perhaps alerting other editors to help - so it's all to a good purpose. Thank you.}}

:{{Re|Storye book}}
:Hello,
:If your concern is that you wish to validate the data published in the table then I am happy to meet virtually (via Teams, Zoom, etc.) and take you though my research, and collation of match data.
:I've now added further sources to the page to cover more recent years. My attendance at the WODI cricket match at North Sydney Oval got in the way of completing that task yesterday.
:To do as you ask would involve a lot of repetition. For Natalie Gilmour, would you want me to provide a citation for each of her 18 matches?
:The ''Rugby League Records'' (RLR) website has a profile page which lists Natalie's World Cup matches, only. If that was an acceptable reference, it reduces the citations for her row to ten. That's one citation to her RLR profile (for her 9 World Cup matches), plus a citation for each of the nine matches played for England outside a World Cup.
:That would then be repeated for each player in the table, apart from those that only played in World Cup matches. To my mind, that would be more confusing to a reader. It would also make a mess of the formatting.
:If you do not wish to meet virtually, but desire further explanation, that's okay, I can provide more background via this medium.
:Regards,
:John Moriarty
:Cronulla, NSW
:Nhoj1898 (talk) 04:24, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
::Hi John. Thank you for your reply. I'm afraid that meeting virtually would not help, because sports articles and lists on WP are intended for the very large number of sports fans out there, and other interested parties, and it is not set up to provide verification in that way for each of those individuals. That is why we need verification of some sort in the tables. There are several possibilities which should help those readers:
::* Move the relevant parts of the sources section into a new box forming the bottom part of the table, leaving (if appropriate) the rest of the sources to remain in the sources section.
::* Provide at least a partial citation (i.e. a citation verifying one or more of the facts) somewhere on each row, leaving the sources section as it stands.
::* Add a combination of the above ideas into the table, keeping the sources section as it is.
::Please note that my request for citations in the table are not about me or my personal wish to see verification. It's about what we need to provide for our readers, i.e. the general public. Within that group, there are people who take our article subjects extremely seriously, including professionals of all kinds. They need to check facts as quickly and as conveniently as possible, and for that they need to know which citations will help them do that. If you can bear them in mind, that would help a great deal. Storye book (talk) 10:15, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
:Hi {{Re|Storye book}}
:Thank you for recognising that having a citation for every match that a player has played would be confusing.
:Unfortunately, the player records for England Women on the ''Rugby League Records'' website include World Cup matches, plus the two pair of games in 2023 and 2024. Consequently, most are incomplete. So, if a reference is to be included for each player in each row, the record referencing their squad selection for their first match is the best fit. Would you deem that as acceptable?
:I intend to retain the direct access tables that are under the '''Rugby League Records''' and '''European Rugby League''' sub-headings. In a bid to do this succinctly, I've used just the flag and the year as the external link. An alternative, is to use two rows for each group of matches, with the country code as the link in the upper row and the year in the lower row. Such as this very rough example:
:{{flagdeco|FRA}} FRA | {{flagdeco|FRA}} FRA | {{flagdeco|RUS}} RUS ↗ | {{flagdeco|FRA}} 2008 ↗ | {{flagdeco|AUS}} 2008 ↗
:__2007__|__2008__| ______2008 World Cup______
:I had looked at List of England women's national rugby union players ↗ (to which I have '''''not''''' contributed), which has a single reference to an external player archive. But, to your point, cricket lists reference ''espncricinfo'' player pages, and List of Scotland women's international footballers ↗ references the SFA website, rather than a third-party website.
:To add a '''Ref''' column without messing up the desired format of displaying one line per row (i.e. minimising text wrap in cells), it would be best to narrow one or two of the existing columns.
:The latter page provides an idea to reduce the width of the table, by using the accepted two-letter code for rugby league {{rlp|main}}. Unfortunately, this '''''rlp''''' template doesn't currently offer a flag that when used would display the abbreviation rather than the full name - e.g. LF ↗ rather than {{rlp|LF}}. So, a key would be needed.
:Another way to reduce the width to provide better formatting is to use the name override parameter in the '''''rlw''''' template to display the country code {{rlw-l|PNG|16|name=PNG}} rather than the full name {{rlw-l|PNG}} in the '''Debut - Opponent''' column.
:So, if you're okay - as a reviewer - with these suggestions, I can implement the changes.
:Regards
:John Moriarty
:Nhoj1898 (talk) 09:10, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
::Thank you for going to such a great effort with this. My initial main object here was to try to keep the article stable, without other editors worrying about a citation-free table, then deleting bits or tagging. I can see that you are doing your best here, and that your improvements have certainly benefited the article. Following your improvements, I believe that it would be OK now, if you would
::(1) write a note next to "Last updated: 11 January 2025" at the top of the table, saying something like "For sources, see Notes below the table". That should cover it, so long as
::(2) the notes look as if they are part of the table, or at least associated with it.
::If and when you can do that, then it should be OK to remove the tag at the top of the article. Well done for creating that very useful list, which must have required quite a lot of work to get it together. And thank you for your patience and understanding. I look forward to seeing more useful articles or lists created by you. Storye book (talk) 09:45, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
:::Hi {{Re|Storye book}}
:::The table just now updated to include a reference in each row.
:::There are two players where I don't have an online (direct or indirect) reference.
:::There are 3 or 4 where I have referenced their first match in an ERL report with a direct external link, but after seeing how it looks I will revert to a formal reference.
:::I am also aware that I have duplicate references, but I have a music gig to go to right now, so I will need to fix that tomorrow morning (Sydney time).
:::Regards, John Nhoj1898 (talk) 07:36, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
:::: Thank you. It looks fine, now. If you cannot remember which citations are duplicated, you can use Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser ↗ to find them, if you have 250+ manual mainspace edits. You would need to apply for permission to use AWB. Storye book (talk) 10:19, 15 January 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, :2026 NRL Women's season ↗. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page ↗. If you post your comments there, other editors ↗ working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. :Hi @MakaylaHippo1998,
:The reason that I added comments in the page was in an attempt to reach a new user-editor, @147.161.212.85 who has to date not created an account. Whilst their talk page records comments and suggestions from other editors, it appeared those had not been read. This assumption was based on the repetition by 147.161.212.85 of
:# Making edits without including references; and
:# Formatting errors made that would have been noticed if preview was being used.
:In defence of 147.161.212.85, she/he has begun including references, just not for every edit. Specifically, for the page 2026 NRL Women's season and the '''Players released'' section and the St George Dragons. Hopefully you also read this comment and saw that I received a reply from 147.161.212.85, and I responded asking for a reference to be added to the Instagram post. Some errors were made in the attempt to capture those references, which I was happy to fix.
:You may be able to answer this question. If a user is editing without an account, how are they prompted to read their talk page?
:I could experiment myself to find out, but if you already know please share.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to change the title of a page by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :2026 NRL Women's season ↗. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move ↗", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution ↗. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu ↗ for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge ↗. ''The redirect was nominated for RFC. If you disagree with deleting the redirect, please do not manually remove it but join the discussion, where you can even argue for publishing the Draft to mainspace. :Hi @Servite et contribuere
:In respect to 2026 NRL Women's season ↗, I did attempt to republish the page but was met with a message that prevented me from doing so.
:Looking at your Talk page it appears that your on Wikipedia is mostly disruptive rather than positive, so I took the option to re-establish the page.
:As I had commented in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2026 NRL Women's season ↗
:# My rationale for creating the page this month is that five player transfers were announced in the fortnight after the conclusion of the 2025 season, and recording them as they are announced (with appropriate references) will be easier than holding off. It also allows other editors to add newly announced transfers to the page, hopefully with proper references.
:# A new aspect to this post-season is the number of releases announced within a month. Again, it is easier to record them as they are announced rather than holding off.
:# Pages for the last two years have been created when the draw was announced in November of the previous year, and those time I added the draw to page.
:# There has been some speculation by some members of the media as to whether the timing of the season should change or remain, but that at this stage is only speculation.

::Nhoj1898 If you think the draft should be published into an article, you can bring that up in the discussion on the RFD to see if other editors agree and gain consensus that it is no longer too soon. But you can still edit the draft article. But the rationale that transfers are really going isn't really a good one since there were transfers being announced at the time of the AFD. Basically the same stuff has been happening since then. And there was clear consensus to Draftify at the AFD. Also, if the season is being announced, could you please provide a source to verify that claim? Thank you. Servite et contribuere (talk) 20:24, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

World Cup scheduling
I think the table is a great idea. I just don't think we're going to get each day on one row. I'm using a 1920 x 1200 resolution and many rows are still wrapped. On a tablet or phone it's going to be a lot worse. There are too many words/phrases that are too long, not just Papua New Guinea. New Zealand, United States and even Scotland are wrapping as are venue names like Port Moresby and Wollongong. I think there are a couple of things we could do to try and reduce the visual disruption. One would be to omit the flags altogether, there already in the article so do they need to be repeated throughout the table? Another would be to have all the flags precede the name, at least then the rows are easier to follow, the eye isn't confused by trying to work out where the text begins - before or after the name?
<small style="font-size:87%;">
{{Table alignment}}
{| class="wikitable col1right col2right col3center col5right col6center col8right col9center col11right col12center "

|}
</small>
The second row looks far less confusing to me as my eye and brain aren't having to work out where the name starts.
One question, Earliest Match ... Headline Match, are these designations the invention of the tournament organisers? I don't understand how some days e.g. 17 October, can have two headline matches. Looking at the times, are these slots really "early afternoon", "mid afternoon", "late afternoon" and "evening"? Nthep (talk) 23:04, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
:Hi @Nthep
:Firstly, thank you for reaching out, and the compliment.
:As I think you have seen, I reduced the text size in a bid to avoid wrapping, at least on the laptop screen I am using. I am already aware of the wrapping issues on the smaller screens. Ideally, it would be great to have templates that pick an appropriate table based on the device used, but as far I am aware that has not yet reached Wikipedia.
:My use of PNG rather than the templates was conscious, in a bid to reduce the width. For similar reason I went with the venue location rather than the full name.
:I had used USA for wheelchair, but I was unaware that templates had been created for wheelchair. I checked the WC-WC page but at that time, templates were not in use there.
:I am in two minds about the flags. I think their use hinders the distinction for Australia, NZ and Cook Islands due to the similarity of those flags, but is an advantage for the other nations. The flags are also very popular with Pasifika rugby league fans. At Eden Park, there were even six Niue flags being waved.
:In my sandbox, I experimented with the WC/W/M being on the left rather than the middle. Putting the flags closest to the WC/W/M was done to replicate the convention for the game template, where the flags are nearest the score, ala International rugby league in 2025 ↗ to which you contribute greatly.
:But I am not welded to the flags being "centred".
:Other options are to
:* use the flags with IOC codes and "manual" links to the nation (unless the templates can be adjusted to have an option to display the IOC code rather than the full name), for example: {{flagdeco|AUS}} AUS ↗
:* remove the vertical lines beside the WC/W/M so that the table appears to have 6 columns
:* use thicker or red lines between the game columns (e.g. style="border-right: solid 2px red;")
:* remove the flags but add a column highlighting who has a double or triple header. This idea, I don't like.
:The terms Earliest, Earlier and Early were an attempt to describe what is not usually described. It seemed better than 3rd curtain-raiser, 2nd curtain-raiser and 1st curtain-raiser.
:The use of time slots as you suggest is better. The only issue is that with Perth and Christchurch the local time does not exactly fit the description. A note could be used to clarify this, if that is acceptable.
:Regards, John @Nhoj1898 Nhoj1898 (talk) 00:33, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
::Hi @Nthep
::Alternate version now on Talk:2026 Rugby League World Cup ↗ per your suggestion.
::My first experiment removing borders without using ''colspan'' and it appears at first glance that "none" has to be used on both sides of the borderline. That makes the table messy, which I had been hoping to avoid by using ''Table alignment'', which is relatively new to me.
::Open to using NZ instead of New Zealand and Cook Is. instead of Cook Islands.
::Checking on my phone viewing in ''landscape'', display of the current is still not yet one line per row even after reducing to PNG and USA.
::Thanks for the tip to use name=
::Regards, John @Nhoj1898 Nhoj1898 (talk) 05:55, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
:::Hi (this could be a slow correspondence due to time zones. It's just about 9:30am in a frosty Yorkshire). Dynamic resizing would be lovely but as you say it isn't available to us so we'll just have to find the best compromise we can.
:::Much as I dislike overfussiness I do accept that the flags are probably best left in. We could use the name= to use the IOC code for all teams rather than just PNG but I have to say I'd prefer to see all the names if possible as some of the IOC codes are entirely self-evident e.g. COK and LBN (and things could get really interesting if some of the smaller European nations qualified e.g MLT).
:::The flags being closest to the score ''a la'' International rugby ... is something that perhaps not necessary here. I wasn't anticipating putting the scores in this table so we don't have to follow any convention and if we want to put them all on the left or the right then we can. My preference would all om left.
:::The demo at the talk page looks good on my tablet in both portrait and landscape mode and also looks good in mobile view. Indeed in mobile view the flags are even clearer. I was going to suggest amalgamating each match into one column so rather than Team A column, M/W/WC column, Team B column, we could just have Team A type Team B in one column but I suspect alignment issues between rows would make this look very untidy indeed.
:::I don't there is any problem in saying the time slots are based on AEDT as that's where the majority of matches are being played.
:::{{tl|Table alignment}} is pretty new to me too, but in looks a game changer in things like fixture lists. I have an Excel table I use where all I have enter are the teams and dates, then copy and paste in Wikipedia as I've already set all the cell formatting for each table up in the template. With the UK fixture lists due out in the next week or so, I'll have an opportunity to play around. With the Championship not bring everyone plays everyone (a throwback to the days of the County leagues) it'll be interesting to see how many fixtures there are each week. Nthep (talk) 09:21, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
::::Hi @Nthep
::::The Scheduling table has been updated in line with your by timeslot suggestion. You may wish to review both the table for accuracy and the notes I've written. Now that the the 3 columns for each game appear to be in one column, my preference is to have the flags together rather than all on the left.
::::@Anomalocaris suggested using ''smalldiv'' rather than ''small'' but this unintentionally hid the table, both in the page and in my sandbox when I tried it out there. Perhaps the use of ''Table alignment'' is thwarting ''smalldiv''. Regardless of what was put first, the table was not displayed when both were used.
::::On my mobile phone on landscape, the table is still wrapping in cells. As the last 3 rows are now the longest columns, I am thinking of changing
::::from Loser '''B3'''v'''A4''' WC '''A3'''v'''B4''' Loser to ''7th place'' WC ''Play-off''
::::and ''The'' WC ''Final'' for each of the three finals. I've updated the table in Talk:2026 Rugby League World Cup ↗ as an example.
::::Also, in the '''Stadiums''' section it is a conscious decision to list the NSW venues last in the table so that the two Wollongong venues are the bottom two rows.
::::Regards, John @Nhoj1898 Nhoj1898 (talk) 18:39, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
:::::Hi @Nthep
:::::Other idea since the typing the above is to drop the flag in the Venue column and use shading.
:::::In the talk page I've used Yellow for Port Moresby and White for Christchurch although the latter doesn't really show up that well.
:::::A table showing options for the non east coast venues has also been added to Talk:2026 Rugby League World Cup ↗.
:::::Please let me know your opinion.
:::::Regards, John @Nhoj1898 Nhoj1898 (talk) 20:44, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
:::::I think that looks really good. I can't get smalldiv to work either. I don't think the table is ever not going to wrap for some viewers so best fit is as good as it gets. I agree with changing to 7th place play off as B3vA4 etc isn't defined in this article, and it's shorter. Change 1st Pool A v 2nd Pool B etc to be what they are - the semi-finals in each competition because again the pools aren't defined in this article. The only ones I haven't worked out are the wheelchair games on 9 November would be called - minor place eliminators? minor semi-finals?
:::::The notes, I'd lose the last one as unnecessary, as soon as readers hover over a link there going to get the page preview that starts ''XXX national rugby league team'' anyway.
:::::The second note, delete the first sentence. I think the table is self-explanatory in what it's trying to do.
:::::There's an extra legend line needed to explain the colour coding of the venues. Or use text effects rather than colour e.g. bold for NZ, italics for PNG, nothing for AUS; after all it's only three matches that aren't in Australia. Personally I don't think it's necessary to identify which state for the games in Australia. The where in Australia can be handled in the venues section if map(s) are added. Nthep (talk) 21:10, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
::::::Hi @Nthep,
::::::Adjustments made. Text is still wrapping when I landscape view on my mobile. Curiously, the left side of the fixtures are all on one line while it is the right side of the fixture that wraps.
::::::Regarding the WC play-offs, I thought of using
::::::* ''5th place'' WC ''Semi-final'' (twice) as it is slightly shorter than
::::::* ''Consolation'' WC ''Semi-final''
::::::Although ''Consolation'' might not be the official term. At the moment, it looks undefined in the RLWC2026 website draw page and in the NRL draw, and the NRL article.
::::::Regards, John @Nhoj1898 Nhoj1898 (talk) 06:49, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
:::::::Hopefully the organisers will come up with a name for those fixtures soon. Nthep (talk) 14:51, 28 November 2025 (UTC)

Hi! In this revision, here ↗, you added refs with the name "20XX_GF_MR/CI_NRL". What do the "MR" and "CI" stand for?
I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I'm fairly certain that a user misused AI here ↗ that mixed up the MR and CI for a few of the years, creating a citation error I've just fixed.

:Note that the '''Most premierships won as a player table''' was added by inexperienced user JessGod94. The ~2026-14072-0 temporary account was the same user. His inexperience included not using a Sandbox to develop the table.
:Most of the NRLW tables that I am updating I do so from spreadsheets. I go to as many NRLW games as possible so there may be a delay as I return home to Cronulla.
:If you are interested in a particular club, please let me know as currently I am updating 11 of 12, although other users update club career records for the Bulldogs, Cowboys, Knights, Roosters and Warriors.
:Last season @Bewilderbeest offered to update the most tries table, so I have left that for him to take up agin this season, should he wish to do so.
