left|25px|alt= ↗ Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to :Jerome Laxale ↗ have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.
{{clear}}
- ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made was constructive, please read about it, [{{User:ClueBot NG/Warnings/FPReport|4453740}} report it here], remove this message from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
- If you need help, please see the Introduction to Wikipedia ↗, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, place {{Tld|Help me}} on your talk page ↗ and someone will drop by to help.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Youshouldchooseausernamethat. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions ↗ to the page :Jerome Laxale ↗ because you appear to have made an unexplained change to information inside an infobox, which doesn't reflect or contradicts facts contained within the article's body. The infobox is meant to summarize the key facts ↗ already present in the article itself. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source ↗ when making the change or discuss your change on the article's talk page. You can also find the information in the main written body of the article and change it there; make sure you cite the source there too. Have a look at the tutorial on citing sources ↗ if you need help with this. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox ↗ instead, and if you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page ↗. Please take careful note of the following points to avoid being '''blocked from editing''':
- You undid a revision by Cluebot NG but did not [{{User:ClueBot NG/Warnings/FPReport|4453740}} report an error]. This gives the appearance that you are engaging in WP:EDITWAR ↗ with an automated anti-vandalism system to force a preferred outcome. A review of your contributions ↗ shows frequent restoration of reverted edits, particularly regarding the designation of independent politicians as “teal independents.” This pattern is concerning and '''can result in an edit-warring block'''. To prevent this, you '''must''' seek consensus ↗ on the article’s talk page ↗ before reinstating contested material.
- You added honourific prefixes (The Honourable ↗) to several officeholders who have not earned them. Such changes are considered WP:SNEAKY ↗ and can be interpreted as subtle vandalism. To avoid sanctions, always support additions of this nature with a reliable source ↗.
- The alma mater ↗ field in an officeholder’s infobox ↗ must contain only the alma mater ({{xt|The linked name of attended higher education institution(s).}}). Adding unrelated information is considered disruptive editing ↗. Please ensure this field is used correctly in future.
''Please understand that while your three consecutive edits were not entirely disruptive, they did include disruptive elements. For that reason, they have been reverted in full. You may review them in the article’s revision history and restore any portions that are appropriate and properly sourced. Thank you.''<!-- Template:uw-infobox --> Youshouldchooseausernamethat (talk) 12:23, 29 November 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''living or recently deceased subjects of biographical content on Wikipedia articles''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia ↗;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines ↗;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system ↗.
<p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics <em>procedures</em>, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template. </p>}}<!-- Derived from Template:Contentious topics/alert/first --> ''<b style="color:#ff0000;">Tar</b><b style="color:#ff7070;">nis</b><b style="color:#ffa0a0;">hed</b><b style="color:#420000;">Path</b>''<b style="color:#bd4004;"><u>talk</u></b> 11:23, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
:Add 'teal independent' affiliation to 'Other political affiliations'? Wikiuser4999 (talk) 23:46, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
::Not everything needs to be jamed into the infobox, especially when the labels don't really fit that well. It should be sufficient to go into detail about them labeled "teal independents" in the body (where it hasn't been done so already). If you want more input about it from other editors you can start discussions in the articles' talk pages. Wikipedia and copyright
30px|alt=Control copyright icon ↗ Hello Wikiuser4999! Your additions to :Ralph Babet ↗ have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted ↗ content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain ↗ or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible ↗ copyright license—''to request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗''. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright ↗ and plagiarism ↗ issues. Here are the key points:
- '''Limited quotation:''' You may only copy or translate a ''small'' portion of a source. Any direct quotations ↗ must be enclosed in double quotation mark ↗s (") and properly cited using an inline citation ↗. More information is available on the non-free content page ↗. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners ↗.
- '''Paraphrasing:''' Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information ''in your own words''. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues ↗ and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing ↗. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources ↗ as appropriate.
- '''Image use guidelines:''' In most scenarios, only freely licensed ↗ or public domain ↗ images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons ↗. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria ↗; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide ↗ may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- '''Copyrighted material donation:''' If ''you'' hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you ''may'' be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗.
- '''Copying and translation within Wikipedia:''' Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia ↗. For translation, see {{section link|Help:Translation|Licensing}}.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Vincent Tarzia ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

Warning
25px|alt=icon ↗ Please stop your disruptive editing ↗.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute ↗ with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page ↗, and seek consensus ↗ with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution ↗ page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards ↗.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents ↗.
<br/>Good evening. You recently repurposed ↗ an edit summary of mine. I was warning you against continuing your attempts to implement change without consensus, regarding the opening sentence of the Liberal Party article. You recycled my words of cautioning in favour of your repeated edits.
You are changing the longstanding norm, against what existed at the time the note to contributors was inserted. It may have been myself that inserted it, which I wish to acknowledge in case it was so. Do not continue in this manner. Raise the matter on the talk page, and if your contribution is prudent and you make its case well, then other editors will accept it. Will Thorpe (talk) 10:50, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Broken citations
Please ensure that you do not break citations, by doing a Preview before you publish. Also, per WP:CITE ↗, one source per citation. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 07:49, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
:Broken how? I did a preview before publishing and everything looked to be correct.
:Also, WP:CITE ↗ says:
:"Sometimes the article is more readable if multiple citations are bundled into a single footnote. For example, when there are multiple sources for a given sentence, and each source applies to the entire sentence, the sources can be placed at the end of the sentence, like this: {{dummy ref|4}}{{dummy ref|5}}{{dummy ref|6}}{{dummy ref|7}} Or they can be bundled into one footnote at the end of the sentence or paragraph, like this: {{dummy ref|4}}". Wikiuser4999 (talk) 22:27, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
Personal titles
Much of your editing attempts to (incorrectly) invoke MOS:PEOPLETITLES ↗. There is a difference between specific and generic use of titles, and different rules for each. Please give the guideline another read. It is equally correct to say {{tq|Joe Bloggs was the prime minister of Foo}} or {{tq|Joe Bloggs was Prime Minister of Foo}} or {{tq|Prime Minister Joe Bloggs}}. However, the last two ''must'' be capitalised. '''''<span style="font-variant:small-caps"><span class="tmpl-colored-link " style="color: #388a54; text-decoration: inherit;">— An anonymous username,</span> ↗ <span class="tmpl-colored-link " style="color: #388a54; text-decoration: inherit;">not my real name</span> ↗</span>''''' 15:52, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
May 2026
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Before adding a category to an article, as you did to :Bob Katter ↗, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines ↗. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable ↗ content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-badcat --> Kerry (talk) 06:37, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
