Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban
{{Ivmbox
|2=Commons-emblem-hand.svg
|imagesize=50px
|1=The following topic ban ↗ now applies to you:
{{Talkquote|1=You are indefinitely topic banned from the self-identification or citizenship of living or recently deceased people ↗, broadly construed.}}
You have been sanctioned as a result of this AE report ↗.
This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator ↗ under the authority of the Arbitration Committee ↗'s decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Editing of Biographies of Living Persons#Final decision ↗ and, if applicable, the contentious topics procedure ↗. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions ↗. Please read WP:TBAN ↗ to understand what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with this topic ban, you may be blocked ↗ for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.
You may appeal this sanction using the process described here ↗. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template ↗ if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything above is unclear to you.<!-- Template:AE sanction/topicban.--> ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:23, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
}}
:Further, you are warned against casting aspersions or making accusations without evidence.
:As far as your questions at AE go, your topic ban would cover adding the citizenship to a BLP, e.g. adding an American writer to an article. You can still edit BLPs as long as you stay away from self-identification and citizenship.
:The off-wiki evidence needs to be provided to Arbcom, since they're the people who handle that. As an administrator I cannot consider off-wiki evidence, and certainly can't handle that situation. I strongly urge you to reach out to the arbitration committee with your evidence of off-wiki harassment and canvassing. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:29, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
::@ScottishFinnishRadish So what you are saying is that if I describe someone as an "Icelandic poet", that's against the rules? You know perfectly well that doesn't make any sense. That would prevent me from writing any articles about any persons, because almost every article starts with something like "Polish musician" or "Japanese artist". If that is what you are saying, that is jaw-droppingly draconian. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 13:35, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
:::You could just leave that out and wait for another editor to add it. The sanction isn't as wide as it could be, and the consensus of administrators is that that was the most targeted sanction that is likely to prevent further disruption. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:41, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
::::@ScottishFinnishRadish Well then, that is what I will do. It's patently absurd, but okay. At what point can I contest this decision and what is the process for doing so? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 13:46, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
:::::The full instructions for appeals are included in the template, and there's no actual time limit on when you can appeal. Generally it breaks down to appealing on process, which is saying that the process that resulted in the sanction was flawed. Those are normally filed fairly shortly after the sanction is placed. I won't tell you not to do this, but if you go that route after an AE report with that much administrative participation it is likely to be looked upon poorly, whether filed at AN or AE. An appeal for a lessening or removal of the sanctions due to lessons learned and behaviors changed are normally looked upon favorably after at least six months have passed, but that isn't always the case. In your case, with three months of adherence to the topic ban I wouldn't be surprised if you could get the sanction scaled back to only applying to self-identification. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 14:00, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
::::::I don't think this changes SFR's analysis of the situation but besides AN/AE you could also appeal to ArbCom. A different kind of appeal would be to propose a rewording that would allow you to do these examples ↗ without changing it so you can't do the issues that were identified at AE. But I have no clue how to word such a thing myself. Barkeep49 (talk ↗) 15:48, 15 November 2024 (UTC)

Baltimore photos
Hi, I noticed you posted in the Baltimore Project that you take photos of Baltimore? Not sure if that's stll the case, but I am working on numerous Baltimore articles that would benefit. For example, Weiskittel family ↗ could be enhanced with a photo of the Weiskittel House (Google Street View shows it beautifully restored currently). There are 21 buildings in Butchers Hill ↗ discussed on leaf #16-18 here ↗ that could benefit. I've already rewritten Bankard-Gunther Mansion ↗, that has one picture. Or if you know anyone else interested in a trip to document the buildings. -- <span style="color: #006A4E;">'''Green'''</span><span style="color: #093;">'''C'''</span> 23:04, 24 August 2025 (UTC)

: @User:Crunchydillpickle Oh, wow. Thank you for such a kind message. I think thematically, I'm most proud of my editing related to legislation, Indigenous sovereignty, and Jewish diversity. From seating ↗ to break room ↗s to Indian arts and crafts laws ↗, one major theme has been labor - empowering workers with knowledge, especially workers who are disabled, women, trans, Native, etc. I believe the two seating articles are a major reason several jurisdictions have proposed new laws in recent years. The articles on polysterene foam and elevators touch on environmentalism. Improving transit accessibility reduces car dependency. The articles about cosmetics ↗, dress codes ↗, lockers ↗, and toilets ↗ addresses public participation for women and LGBTQ people in a time of backlash. This all popularizes practical and legal knowledge for the working class, as content becomes increasingly paywalled and inaccessible. Mohawk skywalkers ↗ reminds non-Natives that Natives are part of modernity, not a vanishing ↗ relic. I think the article about becoming white ↗ provides some much needed context in relation to the legal status of Black, Asian, and Native people. Raising awareness of past ↗ and present ↗ antisemitism and of Jewish diversity - poor Jews, Jews of color, Jewish women - is important in a time of rising antisemitism. Naming anti-Palestinianism ↗ as a form of bigotry is important. My articles about colonialism ↗, racism ↗, and antisemitism ↗ in religious communities is an exploration of how we have succeeded or failed to recognize all humans as created in the divine image ↗. And some are just for fun; Halloween, tartans ↗, cakes ↗, dust ↗. What are your favorite articles? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 19:59, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

Stop making so many frivolous articles and categories.
All you're doing is filling Wikipedia with bloat. We don't need articles for every teeny tiny segment or fraction of a topic or category. Wikipedia has always favored consolidating topics into a single article rather than bloat Wikipedia with too many articles. ArslanKhan98 (talk) 00:50, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
Formal complaint

Slavery IN Belgium ?
Hi, I was a bit confused by your addition of various pages to :Category:Slavery in Belgium ↗. In my understanding, the category should comprise articles dealing with enslaved people forced to live in Belgium, not with Belgian abolitionists / imperialists interested in slavery in East Africa. Rsk6400 (talk) 10:44, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
:@Rsk6400 Yes, slavery in Belgium - the topic of slavery, in Belgium - as that is the category naming pattern for every single other European country. See also, :Category:Slavery in the Netherlands ↗, :Category:Slavery in Denmark ↗, :Category:Slavery in France ↗, :Category:Slavery in Spain ↗, etc. There are main articles on the History of slavery in the Netherlands ↗, Slavery in Switzerland ↗, Slavery in France ↗, Slavery in Ireland ↗, etc. As yet, there is no article relating to Slavery in Belgium ↗/History of slavery in Belgium ↗. There was certainly slavery in the Belgian colonies, most notably in the Congo Free State ↗. Before 1830, what is now Belgium was the Southern Netherlands ↗, and that historical region also had a relationship to slavery. Ostend ↗ in particular. Bruges and Antwerp ↗ as well: "Belgian historiography has paid scant attention to the southern Low Countries’ early participation in slavery in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries...this chapter makes clear that several social groups, including merchants and financiers, actively participated in human trafficking and the use of slave labor through important trade cities like Bruges and Antwerp. Though they operated primarily within the Iberian colonial systems, their networks and experience were crucial for the slave trade of the Dutch Republic." Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 22:34, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
::I feel that this is a confusing name and I guess I'm not the only person confused here. I'd suggest something like "Slavery and Belgium" to avoid the confusion because the preposition "in" doesn't suggest relationship. IMHO it suggests something happening in the area. I see the same confusion in Slavery in Switzerland ↗, but on the other hand, Slavery in Great Britain ↗ focusses on what I understand as the meaning of the lemma. Should we continue this discussion at Category_Talk:Slavery in Belgium ↗ ? Rsk6400 (talk) 11:46, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
:::The general naming pattern can perhaps be discussed also at Talk:Slavery in Finland#Requested move 29 November 2025 ↗. I imported the above suggestion Slavery and X ↗ to that discussion. Jähmefyysikko (talk) 16:55, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Indigeneity in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Indigeneity in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Article does not meet Wikipedia standards for notability or neutral point of view. Article is dealing with information that is already on Wikipedia as Palestinianism ↗ for anti-Zionist, and its counterpart with the WP:FRINGE ↗ denials relegated to Palestinian_identity#Denial_of_Palestinian_identity ↗ for Zionist, all easily findable. There is also Palestinian Jews ↗ which shows the incoherent framing of this article. The leaders of Zionism used colonialist and expansionist terms freely, and treating their neglectful of indigenous intentions in the beginning like a political football muddies the waters creating WP:FALSEBALANCE ↗. The small amount of new revelations related to shifting genetics and geopolitics of the distant past would end up revising the more Jewish ethnoreligious nationalism-based and external-to-Palestine issues caused mass immigration Zionist Aliyah ↗ underwrote by Zionism ↗.'''</blockquote>
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Levi M. Hubbell ↗ when you modified the page, you caused {{cl|Category:Pages using age template with invalid date|an invalid date error}} to appear in one or more places. This is likely due to an error in logic around use of one of the Birth, death and age templates ↗. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it and reveal any errors. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.
Thank you.<!-- User:Zackmann08/uw/Age-warning --> '''<span style="color:#00d5ff !important">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94 !important">mann</span>''' (<sup>Talk to me ↗</sup>/<sub><span style="color:orange !important">What I been doing</span> ↗</sub>) 16:14, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Lynching of Peb Falls ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Lynching of Peb Falls ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Only 2-3 contemporary secondary sources (others cited in article are either databases of those sources or modern articles referencing those 2-3 sources) with at points conflicting information.
The tone of those sources additionally conflicts with WP:QUESTIONABLE ↗ at points, and the event this article describes is referred to both here and else where as "reported, but unconfirmed".
As the event is unconfirmed and poorly sourced (compare with the similar Lynching of Charlotte Harris ↗ or others at Lynching of women in the United States ↗), and in the light of the above, fails WP:Notability ↗.
See: Notability covered under WP:BLP1E ↗ and/or WP:CRIME ↗.'''</blockquote>
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion based on established criteria ↗.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion ↗ of the article at any time.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify -->
