WP DAB banners

Hi, and thank you for your work on dab pages: that was helpful! Just one thing though: there's no need to create talk pages if their content is going to be the {{tl|WP DAB}} banner. You can see the template's documentation for the reasons why. Thanks! – Uanfala (talk) 11:00, 10 October 2021 (UTC)

Luke Rowe ↗

Hey GoAheadFan95,

Just wanted to know the reasoning behind making Luke Rowe ↗ a disambiguation page -- by my interpretation of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC ↗, the cyclist would seem to fit the parameter of "primary for a term with respect to usage." Given the description of each person, it would seem that the cyclist, a participant of multiple Tours de France, is much more "primary" than a footballer whose career has been mostly confined to lower divisions and smaller leagues. And yes, this is after removing my personal bias of WP:NWFCTM ↗. From what I gather, I think that this situation should receive the same treatment as the Maluma ↗ page move. In other words, the cyclist gets the primary page name and the disambiguation page gets named as such. Since the page was already moved, I cannot retroactively compare the page views of the cyclist to that of the footballer (API not found and whatnot), but if you were able to check those before the page move, I'd be interested in knowing what those figures are. Otherwise it would have been preferred to have a discussion on the relevant pages first. Benjamin112 ☎ ↗ 23:04, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

Sorry for the CSD mess the other day...

Honestly, I have no idea what happened – I was trying to tag KEWR (disambiguation) ↗ (which has now been done). Looks like everything's being cleaned up now – sorry for the errant notices. Skarmory (talk • contribs) ↗ 00:27, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

Moving redirects tagged for CSD

Please don't do this. It just makes a mess of the page history, the original redirect still needs to be deleted (hence the second speedy deletion nomination for Chickamin Glacier (disambiguation) ↗ above), and you could easily just create the redirect at the proper title instead of moving one there which avoids both of these issues. (In general, you shouldn't really move redirects at all; the double redirect has to be fixed, while you could have just created a redirect at the title you were moving the redirect to and there are no longer issues.) Skarmory (talk • contribs) ↗ 01:26, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Luke Rowe (disambiguation) ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The article :Luke Rowe (disambiguation) ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:

'''Disambiguation page not required (WP:ONEOTHER ↗). Primary topic article has a hatnote to the only other use.'''

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 15:43, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
