25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :2021 Chattanooga mayoral election ↗. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move ↗", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution ↗. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu ↗ for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove --> <span style="font-family:Papyrus; color:#800080;">'''''L'''''iz</span> '''''Read!''''' ↗ '''''Talk!''''' 01:30, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Jimbo218! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections ↗ or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. Any edit that changes the ''meaning'' of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit ↗ for more information. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-minor --> Kj cheetham (talk) 17:19, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on :2025 Gulfport mayoral election ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate ↗ how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable ↗.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it is a copyright violation ↗&#32;of https://newschannel9.com/news/beyond-the-podium/know-your-candidates/dangelo-davis and has no credible claim of fair use ↗ or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be blocked from editing ↗'''.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. Proposed deletion ↗ of :File:Wade for mayor logo.jpg ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The file :File:Wade for mayor logo.jpg ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Unused image, low quality, likely out of commons scope, person likely not notable currently'''</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the file's talk page ↗.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> --TheImaCow (talk) 18:27, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

2024 Georgia state elections ↗ moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2024 Georgia state elections ↗, is not suitable as written to remain published. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on :List of mayors of Conway, Arkansas ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help ↗ or reference ↗ desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub ↗ for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable ↗ subjects and should provide references to reliable sources ↗ that verify ↗ their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=List+of+mayors+of+Conway%2C+Arkansas|deleting administrator}}, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here ↗. <!-- Template:Db-nocontent-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> <small><b style="color:blue; text-shadow:cyan 0.0em 0.0em 0.1em;">CycloneYoris</b></small> <b style="color:purple">''talk!''</b> 00:51, 17 March 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of 2024 Huntington, West Virginia mayoral election

Hello Jimbo218,

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, 2024 Huntington, West Virginia mayoral election ↗, for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at 2024 Huntington mayoral election ↗. Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can <span class="plainlinks">'''Huntington, West Virginia mayoral election}}&action=edit&section=new&preload=Template:Hangon_preload&preloadtitle=This+page+should+not+be+speedy+deleted+because...+ contest this deletion ↗'''</span> but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from :2012 South Carolina Senate election ↗ into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing ↗ does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. The page :Marc Gravitt ↗ has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement ↗. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://dev.ballotpedia.org/Marc_Gravitt<nowiki> </nowiki>and not compatibly licensed. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be blocked from editing ↗'''.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗ for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy ↗ for more details, or ask a question here ↗.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=Marc+Gravitt|deleting administrator}}, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review ↗. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-deleted --><!-- Template:Db-csd-deleted-custom --> — Diannaa (talk) 13:20, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

About 2027 Welsh local elections ↗ and 2026 Welsh local elections ↗ - they both took place some time in the future?

{{reply to|Jimbo218|DankJae|CptnPhasma|Ktkvtsh}} At present "2026 Welsh local elections ↗" and "2027 Welsh local elections ↗" both start off with the text "Local elections took place on the 6 May 2027". As far as I am aware - and I must admit I've been wrong about this sort of thing in the past - today is 29 May 2026. What the actual firetruck ↗ is going on here? Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:36, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
:<small> This query contains text copied ↗ from 2027 Welsh local elections ↗ and 2026 Welsh local elections ↗. Please see the page history of those articles for attribution. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:51, 29 May 2026 (UTC)</small>
::"2026" is a typo, the elections are in 2027. Another editor copy and pasted it under "2027" too. The copy paste was deleted and I moved the 2026 to 2027. '''<span style="color: black">Dank</span><span style="color: red">Jae</span>''' 10:39, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
:@Shirt58 I submitted it as 2027 and used future tense. If you check the edit logs for the "2027 Welsh local elections ↗", you will find the proof of that. Another user decided to create a new version with my text, but modified into "2026 Welsh local elections" and use mast tense. As far as i can see, this has been rectified, although I am new and may be wrong. I do not know why this has happened however it seems to be the work of another editor, not me. CptnPhasma (talk) 11:04, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
::Y’all this was my fault. I made a mistake and changed it from 2026 to 2027 when moving to main space from AfC <span style="color:#4B0082; font-weight:bold;">Kt</span><span style="color:#008080; font-weight:bold;">kv</span><span style="color:#B8860B; font-weight:bold;">tsh</span> <span style="color:#555;">(talk)</span> 16:09, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
:I tried to move it after it was erased, but it didn't work. So I'd wait until time came for the old article before the one was moved. Jimbo218 (talk) 18:26, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm ApexParagon. I noticed that you recently removed content ↗ from :2027 Scottish local elections ↗&nbsp;without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary ↗. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page ↗. Thanks.<!-- Template:uw-delete1 --> ApexParagon (talk) 20:03, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

:Here's the explanation: There's a draft article that is already made and already submitting. It could take three months to submit this article. The problem is this one was made as a redirect to the Local governments in Scotland ↗. That's why I removed content from the 2027 Scottish local elections ↗. I hope in good grace this helps.
