25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from :Indonesian occupation of East Timor ↗ into :Gerald Ford ↗. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing ↗ does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). Introduction to contentious topics

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''the Arab–Israeli conflict ↗''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Sourcing and Format

Hello! Thank you for your recent additions to the Israeli war crimes ↗ article. Can you please ensure when importing material from other articles that you make a note of it in your edit summary, with the article they are from linked in the summary? Additionally, a couple of your edits were summarized as correcting typos, but you were changing sources. In some of these, I've had to track down the original source when the material stated in wiki text was not covered by the sources provided. Please be sure to double check that the content of your edits is covered by the sources provided. When you see a named reference source (ie, '<ref name="hrw"...' ), if the original source establishing that named reference isn't in the section you're importing it will become a cite error. When you find these, go back to the original article, hit edit, and search for wherever the original ref was that used that name, it only takes a minute. Also, please avoid leaving a space before the reference. If a sentence ends with a period, there shouldn't be a space "sentence. <ref" vs "sentence.<ref". Lastly, please be sure your edit summary accurately summarizes the changes you made. Thanks again! entropyandvodka | talk 06:18, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

ADL unreliable? Did you read RSNP

It says:

There is consensus that outside of the topic of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, the ADL is a generally reliable source, including for topics related to hate groups and extremism in the U.S. There is no consensus that ADL must be attributed in all cases, but there is consensus that the labelling of organisations and individuals by the ADL (particularly as antisemitic) should be attributed. Some editors consider the ADL's opinion pieces not reliable, and that they should only be used with attribution. In the 2024 RfC, there was rough consensus that the hate symbol database is reliable for the existence of a symbol and for straightforward facts about it, but not reliable for more complex details, such as symbols' history. In-text attribution to the ADL may be advisable when it is cited in such cases. Doug Weller talk 18:18, 21 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi, i noticed that you reverted my edit changing confirms to corroborates, was this unintentional in the process of changing quotes or did you have an issue with it? MetalBreaksAndBends (talk) 15:11, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

:Hi there! Oops, I'm deeply apologized for that. While I was editing for my edit, I noticed that it reverted your edit for unknown reasons. Again, I am deeply sorry for the unintentional error. Please Help

Hi,

I have collected a large number of direct quotes from Israeli and Qatari officials on Israeli Support for Hamas. I have attempted to edit the Israeli Support for Hamas article to add the quotes that are not already mentioned, but the article is protected, and I am not allowed to make edits to it unless I edit 500 articles.

If you are interested in seeing the quotes, and adding some to the article, please send me your email, or I can paste them in this thread after your approval.

Thank you,

LeBron

Hey there! It looks like we need to talk about our edits on the LeBron page. The first thing I would say is that next time, please don't revert a revert, as this constitutes an edit war ↗. In my edit summary, I said I would be happy to discuss on the talk page, so the more appropriate action would have been to talk with me there, instead of reverting.

It looks like another editor has restored the page to its status quo (reverted your revert). Please don't revert again, as this could get you blocked from editing. Instead, please make a post on the talk page explaining the reasons for your edits. That way, other editors can weigh in, and we can come to an agreement on how to move forward.

Thanks, and I hope you have a good day. OrdinaryOtter (talk) 03:05, 18 February 2026 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to ''' living or recently deceased subjects of biographical content on Wikipedia articles''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template.
}} fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four ↗ (talk) 04:43, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

Concerns regarding sourcing and neutrality in “List of massacres in Lebanon”

Hello,
I saw that you recently edited the article “List of massacres in Lebanon”, and I would like to bring your attention to ongoing issues with the article.

Over the past several weeks, a user (ArzLibnan) has made a large number of edits to the article that raise concerns about sourcing, neutrality, and classification (you may notice that most of the edits made to the article in the last month were made by this user).

Some particular examples are:

• The addition of events such as the 2006 Lebanon War and the 2020 Beirut port explosion as “massacres”, which appears inconsistent with how these events are described in reliable sources.

• Attribution of responsibility (assigning perpetrators and victims) without clear or reliable sourcing.

• Inclusion of multiple entries labeled as massacres that either lack citations or are supported by sources that do not explicitly describe them as such (for example, citations to the ICTJ report that do not appear to mention the specific incidents listed).

• Reclassification of broader conflicts or battles as massacres without clear justification.

Additionally, there appears to be a pattern of selective inclusion and removal of content that raises neutrality concerns; specifically, edits tend to emphasize incidents attributed to certain groups while omitting or removing well-sourced incidents involving others. This results in an imbalanced representation of events related to the Lebanese Civil War and related periods. While I cannot assess the editor’s intent, the overall editing pattern appears inconsistent with Wikipedia’s neutral point of view policy and may benefit from review.

Additionally, there appears to be a pattern of reverting edits without discussion, which may be hindering collaborative improvement of the article.

Given the relatively low level of activity on this page, these changes have largely gone unreviewed. I am concerned that the article may no longer meet Wikipedia’s standards for verifiability and neutrality.
I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the article and, if appropriate, help ensure that it adheres to Wikipedia’s content policies.

Thank you for your time. ~2026-22457-95 ↗ (talk) 05:20, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
