Pak film articles
Hi Umais Bin Sajjad, thank you for your contributions. I have been noticing your recent edits on Pakistan films' articles. I just wanted to suggest that please create an article only when the film is released, so that the notability can be easily established in one go. At that time, we may have relevant interviews and reviews to link as well. And, when the article is new enough, we can also nominate for WP:DYK ↗ as well. You may be well aware of the sock attacks, and that is why we need to be very careful with our good faith contributions. Hope you understand, again thank you and no offence. '''M.''' Bill'''oo'''{{smiley}} 03:55, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @M.Billoo2000 thank you for your thoughtful message and for taking the time to share your guidance. Suggestions are duly noted and genuinely appreciated.
:That said, I'd like to raise a concern regarding the practical challenge we often face with film articles. In many cases, even when a topic is reasonably notable, there tends to be limited coverage from WP:SECONDARY ↗ sources or major news organizations at the early stages. This often leads to articles being declined in draftspace or even deleted, not necessarily due to a lack of inherent notability, but due to insufficient sourcing at that point in time.
:For example, the recent article I worked on, ''Khan Tumhara'', is quite close to release (around Eid al-Adha) and, in my view, does not fall under WP:TOOSOON ↗. However, due to a previous speedy deletion, it came under scrutiny and was moved to draftspace. Situations like this make it challenging to establish articles even when a film is legitimately in its final pre-release phase.
:Part of the reason I (and others) tend to create film pages upon announcement is to begin building a structured presence and authority for the subject early on. That said, I completely understand the concerns you've raised, especially around sourcing and policy compliance, and I'm open to reconsidering this approach if there are better alternatives. I'd really value your thoughts on how to strike the right balance here. Cheers! Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 19:07, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
Majorly, I suppose there are three things we need to qualify; WP:N ↗, WP:V ↗, and WP:NPOV ↗. Also, we should prefer using bylined reliable references at most wherever possible. I believe, the article should not be falling under WP:TOOSOON ↗ or WP:BALL ↗. '''M.''' Bill'''oo''' 03:57, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
Also, I would like to invite you at Wikipedia:WikiProject Pakistan/Members ↗ and its sub topics. '''M.''' Bill'''oo''' 04:02, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you for the invitation to WikiProject. I appreciate it and will be joining soon. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 19:08, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
Recent revert on Islamabad Talks ↗
Hi, I noticed you reverted a set of edits on the article Islamabad Talks ↗, which included some tense adjustments made by Uzair Baffa. While I understand you were mainly targeting a different edit, these particular changes appear to be constructive.
In future, it may help to review bundled edits more carefully when reverting, or consider separating clearly constructive improvements from the changes you intend to undo. This can help avoid unintentionally rolling back valid grammar or style fixes, especially for newer editors. – Erakilos (talk) 10:45, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi, thanks for bringing this to my notice. I realized that some of the edits I reverted included minor punctuation and style improvements, which was an oversight on my part. My intention was to undo what I viewed as a diplomat’s personal opinion being added, not the constructive copyedits. I’ll be more careful to separate those in future. Appreciate the heads-up. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 14:52, 12 April 2026 (UTC)

30px|alt=Control copyright icon ↗ Hello Umais Bin Sajjad! Your additions to :Nusuk ↗ have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted ↗ content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain ↗ or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible ↗ copyright license—''to request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗''. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright ↗ and plagiarism ↗ issues. Here are the key points:
- '''Limited quotation:''' You may only copy or translate a ''small'' portion of a source. Any direct quotations ↗ must be enclosed in double quotation mark ↗s (") and properly cited using an inline citation ↗. More information is available on the non-free content page ↗. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners ↗.
- '''Paraphrasing:''' Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information ''in your own words''. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues ↗ and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing ↗. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources ↗ as appropriate.
- '''Image use guidelines:''' In most scenarios, only freely licensed ↗ or public domain ↗ images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons ↗. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria ↗; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide ↗ may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- '''Copyrighted material donation:''' If ''you'' hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you ''may'' be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗.
- '''Copying and translation within Wikipedia:''' Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia ↗. For translation, see {{section link|Help:Translation|Licensing}}.
:Thanks for the notice. I will be more careful to rewrite source material independently. I may leave the detail out for now unless it can be rewritten cleanly. <span style="color:white;background:#01411C;padding:0 3px;border-radius:9px 0 0 9px;">Umais</span><span style="color:#01411C;background:white;padding:0 3px;border-radius:0 9px 9px 0;">🗣</span> 07:07, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
