==Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft ↗==
Thanks for signing up for this project. It is a very busy and active project with lots going on and we can always use more help and especially a fresh set of eyes. If you haven't done so already you might want to add Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft ↗ to your watch list as this is where much of the background discussion occurs. You may also want to watch Wikipedia:New articles (Aircraft) ↗ as this is where newly created articles get listed for peer review. Having a look over these new articles is a great way to get a feel for how things are done on the project and also most new articles need reviewing anyway. If you have any questions you can leave me a note or post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft ↗, either way you will get a quick response. - Ahunt (talk) 11:45, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Sabina Puertolas
Hi, I'm Kudpung. Vanguard10, thanks for creating Sabina Puertolas ↗!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation ↗ tools, as having some issues to fix. Please clean up the naked URLs. For more information please see WP:CITE ↗
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse ↗.

I Saw Figure 5 in Gold
AT DYK I left a note asking someone else to do the length check. If that passes (and I believe it will, or will be close enough to fix), I hope you can return to continue the process. Otherwise, please leave a note that someone else should take up the review. David notMD (talk) 12:01, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
:Progress being made. To run a copyright check, go to this: https://tools.wmflabs.org/copyvios/ Once there, type the title of the article into Page title. What you will get for I Saw the Figure 5 in Gold is "Violation possible" Look for the highest percentages. Way over on the right, click on Compare. That will show you a side-by-side comparison of the possible source of content and the Wikipedia article, with duplicated text highlighted.
:I believe the article is OK as written. the possibles are because of the long quotes in the article, which are indicated as quotes and attributed to the original sources. The top one - slideplayer - is something different. This is what is called a mirror site. It copied exactly what I composed at Wikipedia, over more than 20 separate edits, to create its content from the most recent version. So that is it copying me, not the reverse.
:I am continuing to make small changes to the article because I intend to nominate it for Good Article status after the DYK appears. David notMD (talk) 11:55, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
Will you be returning to continue the DYK review? David notMD (talk) 19:48, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
:Thanks for completing the process. FYI - rather than the green check you added, for DYKs you are supposed to use the template from the DYK process, as it creates a green circle with a check inside. I replaced your green check with that. David notMD (talk) 12:18, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Request for Participation at WT: Airports
As you may be aware, there was a recent discussion on the talk page of WP:Airports ↗ which prematurely and without consensus resulted in mass changes to airport articles throughout Wikipedia. Before a drastic change like this is put into practice, it is important to have '''''clear consensus''''', which from my readings as an observer, did not occur. Many of these changes started to occur before any real discussion had taken place, and despite much disagreement from some community members. Disagreement is good -- it's great actually -- without it nothing would ever get done. But it's important that everyone opinions are heard fairly and accurately, and that significant changes like merging the Regional Airline destinations with the Mainline destinations are not done without such consensus. I encourage you, as someone involved in WP:Airports and the original discussion, to voice your opinions and discuss with others about how we should move forward at this point. Positive and constructive conversation is the way to a consensus. I also ask that everyone (myself included) ceases merging or un-merging mainline/regional destinations until a censuses is reached. Please contribute to the conversation here ↗. <span style='font-family: "Arial Black"; color:Teal'><big>T</big><small>ofutwitch11</small></span>''' <small><span style="color:Orange;">(T<small>ALK</small>)</span></small>''' 00:44, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

::I am very disappointed at your behavior, SounderBruce. I would have expected better decorum from you because of your many edits. Because of your aggressive behavior, I do not plan to edit anymore on Wikipedia after finishing a DYK being prepared and fixing that article a little, concluding the noticeboard action that you started / finish working on just one paragraph (last paragraph about the bus stops) of the SeaTac/Airport station article in question. My other work on other prospective FAC articles is now suspended. It is possible that I might return in 4-6 months or edit a minimal amount but no commitment is being made.

:Somebody else deleted it but I put it back and quadrupled the number of references. There is already references in print. I do not think an arbitrary blackout date, such as banning all "______ (country) in the 2030 Winter Olympics" articles until 1/1/2029 is useful. Please note that this is the only article in this series that I have created. I have NOT created a similar article for the USA, Benin, Brazil, Bulgaria, etc., just Canada. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, :Canada at the 2030 Winter Olympics ↗. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page ↗. If you post your comments there, other editors ↗ working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles ↗, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-talkinarticle1 --> SunloungerFrog (talk) 09:35, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello! Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did to Air Canada Express Flight 8646 ↗! However, adding a bare URL ↗ is not ideal, and exposes the reference to link rot ↗. It is preferable to use proper citation templates ↗ when citing sources ↗, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for a bibliographic citation ↗. Here's an example of a full citation using the {{tl|cite web}} template to cite a web page:
: <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext">Lorem ipsum<ref>{{cite web |title=Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac |publisher=Canon Inc |work=Ask a Question |date=2022 |url=https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839 |access-date=2022-04-02}}</ref> dolor sit amet.</syntaxhighlight>
which displays ''inline ↗'' in the running text of the article as:
:Lorem ipsum{{fake ref|1}} dolor sit amet.
and displays under '''References''' as:
#^ Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac ↗". ''Ask a Question''. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.
If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations: try the Citer tool ↗, or in the wikitext editor ↗, try the reFill tool ↗, and in the Visual Editor ↗, the reference dialog ↗ can convert some bare urls into a full citation.
Once again, thanks for adding references to articles. <!-- Template:Uw-bareurl --> <span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS','Chalkboard','ChalkboardSE-Regular',sans-serif;padding:0 2px;"><b>Limmidy</b> <small>(talk</small>)</span> 00:06, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

@Vanguard10, hello! I tried to help get your RfC in shape. I’m not sure I added much help. I can explain why your original (and recent) question isn’t considered neutral, but I’m not sure it’s a good idea to change it any more. <span style="background-color: snow; font-family: 'Linux Libertine', 'Georgia', 'Times', 'Source Serif Pro', serif">Dw31415</span> (talk) 21:01, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Vanguard10, just a recommendation that you focus on the Camaro article itself for now. I suggest it’s overly bureaucratic to focus on which policy / guideline / advice applies. The Unannounced vehicle guideline’s ban on any “information” would probably not hold in a closing. <span style="background-color: snow; font-family: 'Linux Libertine', 'Georgia', 'Times', 'Source Serif Pro', serif">Dw31415</span> (talk) 12:34, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
:@Vanguard10, so what are you thinking for a follow up? I get that unannounced vehicles seems overly restrictive. I’d suggest you find (or wait for) a more compelling case. <span style="background-color: snow; font-family: 'Linux Libertine', 'Georgia', 'Times', 'Source Serif Pro', serif">Dw31415</span> (talk) 02:10, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

:… for calling other editors shills. I’m doing this in part to move us along. I understand things can get heated and you were trying to make a point about “primary”, but it crossed the line <span style="background-color: snow; font-family: 'Linux Libertine', 'Georgia', 'Times', 'Source Serif Pro', serif">Dw31415</span> (talk) 16:13, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:::I did not call anyone a shill. That is not my nature so I know I did not say you, him, her, or that other guy (whoever he is) is a shill. The fact remains that if WikiProject requires a manufacturer's announcement or the information is to be removed, that makes the manufacturer the editor that vetos or shapes what Wikipedia read. If that is the case, Wikipedia is no longer an internet encyclopedia but for automobiles, the car company is the censor of Wikipedia. It would be different if WikiProject read "Be very careful to use only reliable sources to write about a car not in mass production yet". That I would agree with.Vanguard10 (talk) 19:35, 9 May 2026 (UTC) (edited for grammar mostly)

In this edit ↗, you added your personal opinion ↗ to the article with no reliable source ↗. Worse, you added it in the middle of a well-sourced paragraph making it appear as though this was the mentioned experts' opinion. This appears to be an intentional violation of text-source integrity ↗ (cf. WP:HONEST ↗). And you tagged the first sentence with <nowiki>{{who}}</nowiki> although the sentence is footnoted to CBS news, which quotes a tax expert from the conservative Cato Institute ↗. You also modified the section about restrictions in a previous edit in a confusing way.
Wikipedia should certainly represent a variety of serious opinions on topics like this, and if you can find reliable sources where reputable tax or investment advisors agree that "parents should put their own money into it", please add the information to the article. Don't do it by inserting their argument into the middle of a report on someone who discourages it. --Macrakis (talk) 20:34, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
