Disambiguation link notification for November 9

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Timofei Moșneaga ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Moldovan ↗<!-- ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Timofei_Mo%C8%99neaga check to confirm]&nbsp;|&nbsp;[//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Timofei_Mo%C8%99neaga?client=notify fix with Dab solver])-->. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Vasile Procopișin ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article ↗.</p><p>You may want to consider using the Article Wizard ↗ to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
A tag has been placed on :Vasile Procopișin ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement ↗. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://usmf.md/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Savanti_Medici_Ilustri_web.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be blocked from editing ↗'''.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗ for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy ↗ for more details, or ask a question here ↗.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> <span style="color:#000E2F;padding:0 4px;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">S Philbrick</span><span style=";padding:0 4px;color:# 000;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">(Talk)</span> 12:52, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to :Democratic Party of Moldova ↗, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines ↗ in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test ↗ Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page ↗ to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-move1 --> Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 14:25, 20 November 2022 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of Valeriu Pasat ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The article Valeriu Pasat ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy ↗, this '''biography of a living person ↗''' will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source ↗ that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners ↗, or ask at the help desk ↗. Once you have provided at least one reliable source ↗, you may remove the {{tl|prod blp/dated}} tag. '''Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.''' If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can {{#ifexist:Valeriu Pasat|request that it be undeleted|request that it be undeleted ↗}} when you are ready to add one.<!-- Template:ProdwarningBLP --> <span style="color:Purple;font-size:medium;font-family:Bradley Hand ITC"> ASUKITE</span> ↗ 21:09, 9 February 2023 (UTC)

Sources

Hello. You've created several articles with one single source. While this is enough for them to exist, there is a policy in Wikipedia, WP:ONESOURCE ↗, which recommends adding a minimum of two sources due to a set of several reasons. I was here only to note that if you could be do this, there would probably be no problems with your articles; because they only have one source, one was proposed for deletion and another was moved to draftspace (aka, readers cannot read them). I moved the latter back to mainspace. This all comes to WP:NOTABILITY ↗ if you wish to know what I mean, an article having one single source might indicate a lack of notability to users not familiarised with the subject.

Thank you for your contributions on Moldovan politics. It is good to see that someone keeps pages up to date. <span style="color:#0099FF;">Super</span> <span style="color:#800080;">Ψ</span> ↗ <span style="color:#E60026;">Dro</span> 21:50, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

Native names

Hello @Editor1722, I am @Archer1234. I noticed that you are making dozens and maybe hundreds of edits to add or change {{para|native name}} in infoboxes of biographies (primarily, if not, exclusively, of living people). The edits include, in many cases, the addition of "<code><nowiki><br /></nowiki></code>" tags.

MOS:NOBR ↗ says:

{{tqb|Do not separate list items with line breaks (<code><nowiki><br /></nowiki></code><nowiki>). Use {{</nowiki>plainlist ↗<nowiki>}} / {{</nowiki>unbulleted list ↗<nowiki>}} if the list is to remain vertical; </nowiki>...}}

In some cases, the edits actually removed the use of "{{tl|ubl}}" (e.g., {{diff|Mikheil Saakashvili|1189314927|1187350455|at Mikheil Saakashvili}}), which is contrary to the MOS guidance.

In addition, the edits sometimes remove use of the {{tl|native name}} template with no explanation (see the same edit at Mikheil Saakashvili linked above).

In support of MOS:ACCESSIBILITY ↗, MOS:OTHERLANG ↗ says:

{{tqb|Non-English words or phrases should be encased in {{tl|lang}},...}}

The use of {{tl|native name}} (which uses {{tl|lang}}), is helpful not only for accessibility reasons, but also for sighted readers who do not recognize the script used for those native names. If including the name of the language in parentheses is not desired, {{tlx|native name|<nowiki>italics=off|paren=omit</nowiki>}} or using {{tl|lang}} instead could be used to suppress that.

I am not against the addition of native names or specifying that the names are not bolded, but I think the edits could be tweaked to align better with the MOS.

For example, the {{para|native name}} for Mikheil Saakashvili could be specified as:

<syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext">
| native_name = {{Nobold | {{Ubl
| {{native name|ka|მიხეილ სააკაშვილი|italics=no|paren=omit}}
| {{native name|uk|Міхеіл Саакашвілі|italics=no|paren=omit}}
}}}}
</syntaxhighlight>

This would appear to readers as:

:{{Nobold | {{Ubl
| {{native name|ka|მიხეილ სააკაშვილი|italics=no|paren=omit}}
| {{native name|uk|Міхеіл Саакашвілі|italics=no|paren=omit}}
}}}}

Is there any valid reason not to follow the guidance from the MOS?

Thanks. &nbsp;&mdash; <span style="border-radius:8em;padding:0 7px;background:#bf5700"><span style="color:white">'''Archer'''</span></span> (t ↗·c ↗) 03:13, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

:Hello again @Editor1722. I noticed that you continue to add/change native names in biography articles with edits that are not congruent with Wikipedia's Manual of Style (MOS) (particularly MOS:ACCESSIBILITY ↗ / MOS:OTHERLANG ↗, but also MOS:NOBR ↗). I asked above if there was a valid reason not to follow the MOS. At this time, I have seen no response to that question. Instead, the problematic additions/changes continue.
:If you believe there are valid reasons for editing in this manner, please reply here to explain. Keep in mind that WP:Communication is required ↗ on Wikipedia. 30px|left|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war ↗; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page ↗ to work toward making a version that represents consensus ↗ among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done ↗. '''Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing ↗'''&mdash;especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period. Percentage point spacings

Hello. Re your addition of a space to percentage point details, I don't think this is correct. Friendly matches

Just to let you know you the main reason why I never put friendly matches in infobox for U-17 , U-19 teams.

First) In international friendly matches, FIFA allows a maximum of six substitutions per team. (as you well know in most of this matches teams are using the unlimited substitutions)

Second) the referee is from the same country as one of the team

Third) There is no list of all friendlies, however in the case of competitive matches, all of them can be checked, as the only games are the one Moldova is pkaying in qualifying to euro.

if you disagre with all this from above, you can delete if you want (to make you happier) all matches from infobox, as unsourced.

if there is no concensus the infobox can be same as England U17, or NetherlandU17. Im totally ok with that.

Party membership

Hello. You changed the number of members in several Moldovan parties while keeping the same citations that were added to verify an older number https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Our_Party_(Moldova)&diff=prev&oldid=1315250024 ↗ https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Our_Party_(Moldova)&diff=prev&oldid=1315250024 ↗. You should've replaced the old sources with new ones or at the very least remove the old source so the number is cited to a wrong (this is worse than it being unsourced). In the PPDA's article we have a 2020 source cited for a 2025 number and in the PN's a 2018 source cited for a 2025 number. Quite an aberration I am sure you can agree. I'd appreciate if you could do something about this. Recent edit reversion

In this edit here ↗, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy ↗.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. <span style="color:#000E2F;padding:0 4px;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">S Philbrick</span><span style=";padding:0 4px;color:# 000;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">(Talk)</span> 21:22, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Mihai Gribincea ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The article :Mihai Gribincea ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Two-sentence directory listing with no secondary sources. Romanian article also lacks secondary sources to demonstrate notability.'''</blockquote>

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion based on established criteria ↗.

If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion ↗ of the article at any time.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> AusLondonder (talk) 01:55, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Dumitru Socolan ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Vasile Tofan ↗

A tag has been placed on :Vasile Tofan ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate ↗ how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable ↗.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=Vasile+Tofan|deleting administrator}}. <!-- Template:Db-notability-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> ScalarFactor (talk) 16:40, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
