Good time to submit abandoned drafts



Hi JSwift49, we currently have an ongoing November AfC backlog drive and are about to reach zero pending submissions so if you come across drafts you think might meet the notability guidelines, now is the time to submit them. S0091 (talk) 18:48, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

Olympic Sports



Hi JSwift49, I would like to ask a question regarding the article Olympic Sports and actually make an edit request: shall we add a section on Youth Olympics sports? The IOC’s official website enlists Olympic Sports (incl. Youth disciplines), and some disciplines have been featured only during the Youth Olympics (eg. Beach Handball, Acrobatic Gymnastics, Rolling Speed Skating, Beach Wrestling, and Futsal; in addition, demonstration Sports included Karting). The main Sports page shows Summer, Winter, and Youth disciplines together, so it shouldn’t be controversial. Perhaps we could just mention those exclusively held at the Youth Olympics; it might be interesting for an average reader. Also, the website mentions Coastal Rowing now; shall we mention it as well? :Hi. I think since the Youth Olympic Games are fundamentally different from the Olympic Games proper, they should not be on the same page. There is a table of the YOG sports at Youth_Olympic_Games#Sports β†—. Re. coastal rowing that will take place in 2028 and I believe someone will update the table once the 2024 Games are over.

Colon splitting sentence



In this edit β†—, you switched a comma to a colon. The comma was better. If it had just said "three more children: a, b, and c.", the colon would have been fine, but for "...a, b, and c were born in wherever" it's not, as "were born in" logically continues "three more children".
