25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, :Tree ↗. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page ↗. If you post your comments there, other editors ↗ working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Marincyclist. I noticed that you recently removed content ↗ from :Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant ↗ without adequately explaining why. Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''the region of South Asia ↗ (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia ↗;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines ↗;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system ↗.
<p><strong>Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days ↗ in order to make edits related to two subtopics:</strong> (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.</p><p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics <em>procedures</em>, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template. — '''''<span style="color:#536267;">Newslinger</span>''' <small><span style="color:#708090;">talk</span></small>'' 16:40, 1 December 2025 (UTC) </p>}}<!-- Derived from Template:Contentious topics/alert/first -->

:I get what you a trying to say. But the first line itself, which says a mythological river is which I feel must be changed. Many reports from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) using modern satellite imagery, independent studies by various institutions in India and abroad, and even NASA has studied the region using modern technology and have confirmed using river palaeochannel mapping that a large river described as Saraswati in the Vedas and other texts existed in the region until around 2000BCE. I even had attached a report to my edits. I feel that the article does not count for relevant resent development and largely refers to 19th and 20th century studies, many conducted by the British administration or others with a colonial mindset. I think that the article must be updated accordingly to include new findings alongside the former ones. I will be happy to co-operate for this change. I may have been a bit careless in my edits, my apologise for it. Hoping you respond to this positively asap.

::::Ok, I just read two reports published officially by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), both of which conclude that the river flowed at the described place which was investigated through drilling borewells to test the ground water for its properties. These water tests were conducted by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). Satellite mapping was used to trace the palaeochannel. You may read these reports yourself. They are available as a .pdf file in the internet. IND123456 (talk) 13:05, 15 February 2026 (UTC)

Edit warring warning
30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ '''You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war ↗, according to the reverts you've made to :James Mill ↗.''' This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate ↗ with others, avoid editing disruptively ↗, and try to reach a consensus ↗ – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.
Important points to note:
# {{strong|Edit warring is disruptive behavior ↗ – regardless of how many reverts you have made;}}
# {{strong|Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.}}
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page ↗ and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗ if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection ↗. {{strong|If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked ↗ from editing.}} <!-- Template:uw-ew --> — <span style="font-family: Courier; color: darkviolet">'''EarthDude'''</span> (<span style="font-family: Courier; color: black">'''Talk'''</span>) 06:11, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

:I think there is a certain misunderstanding here. Firstly I wish to clarify on the draft. It is a draft which has not yet been completed in any way. The main reason for me to submit it was that I get some time to work out the data, hence I just plotted the main points about Manjul there. Now come to Sinauli. Let's clear the fog and simplify. A simple point I seek to make is that the article seems to agree with one POV, though of a scholar or two, in an ongoing scholarly debate, and the reason I am discussing this is to improve the article by fixing the issue I see. I don't find any point labelling an incomplete draft in the name of a certain fringe theory. Also, as the article is a biography of living persons article, it is to represent the argument of the subject person and not those who disagree with him. Also I welcome any editor to improve the draft, and I find no reason for being aggressive for the draft. I hope you try to understand. Thanks. IND123456 (talk) 09:43, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
